Evolve Back Hampi

A full 5 star rating for this 5-star property. It's got impeccable hospitality, extremely courteous and welcoming staff and stunning architecture. I would easily give it 10 stars in nearly everything- staff behaviour, thoughtfulness, food, hospitality, suite decor and opulent architecture. This was my first stay at an Evolve Back property and I am astounded by the whole experience. It beats so many other resorts across the country I have stayed in. Few people I would specifically like to call out for excellent service- Mohanan & his colleague from HK for their smiles and quick service, Chandana, Sudesh and Balamma from front desk who patiently answered all our queries, took out time to make us feel at home & Balamma patiently gave us a Jal Mahal tour too beyond her office hours. In Tuluva, nearly everyone - Vinay, Saurabh and all other staff who were always on their toes. Abhijith - the naturalist who later doubled up as a storyteller for their evening session was excellent. His knowledge about birds, their sounds and the forest is rich and he is very kind. This is one of the longest reviews I have written and every bit of it feels underrated. Clearly the training imparted to the staff is par excellence and that reflects in their collective efforts to keep guest comfort on top. Hospitality aside, they have complimentary high tea, nature’s walk, story telling session and a wonderful souvenir shop. The suite was quite big- comes with an outdoor jacuzzi, complimentary snacks and beverages replenished twice a day and the overall room gave an authentic feel of living in a bygone era. I honestly can’t wait to explore their other 2 properties in India- the Hampi staff and resort have set the benchmark very high. I plan to return here soon, again..

After being to the other 2 hotels of Orange county resorts, this was always on the cards, and it definitely turned out to be as expected, maybe a bit beyond our expectations. Right from check-in, we were taken care of pretty warmly. The Jal Mahal rooms were really impressive. The house keeping (I am sorry I forgot the name of those 4 guys) did a wonderful job for my wife's Birthday decor and otherwise too. Loved the property overall and really looking forward to another trip to Hampi. The food in the restaurant is one thing I feel they could improve, especially by adding more options. Shiva, in the restaurant was there to help us get what we needed.

One of the best rooms I have been to. Perhaps comes only second to water villa in Maldives. Spacious and ultimate luxury. Was the best present we could gift ourselves on Anniversary. Highly recommended for families. Food spread was good. Evolve back is known for their hospitality and they lived upto our high expectations.

I came alone and just because I didn't have my partner with me, Megha, my Evolve assigned assistant left a fish in a small bowl that they fed everyday during my stay just to keep me company. The level of care and attention I received was fantastic and I hope to stay again in the future at this or another Evolve resort

I visited this hotel on an extended driving trip. I cannot praise it enough - the rooms were exceptionally well appointed, the grounds lovely, and the facilities first class. The food was excellent and above all the service was outstanding. A great place.

We visited the Evolve Back Hampi in November 2024 (apologies for the delayed review!) and our experience from arrival, after a long dusty 7 hour car journey from South Goa, a wonderful unexpected touch of well curated welcoming thoughtful detail as we passed through the gates .. I won’t spoil the surprise.. which even drew a small gasp of delighted appreciation from our road weary driver, to then being greeted so gracefully by the warm and welcoming Evolve Back team on the steps of the hotel was nothing short of perfection. The checking in process was without question the smoothest and fastest I have experienced anywhere, no sooner were we escorted to a cool private reception lounge and served a delicious refreshing drink than we were calmly whisked away to our room. The room did not disappoint, if anything it was even better than the images on screen when we booked many months before, immaculately presented with house chef prepared sweet treats, on tap filtered water (how wonderful and how truly eco friendly) excellent coffee and tea making room facilities. An enormous bed with crisp sheets and a choice of pillows. A large bathroom and outside on the balcony a jet pool which I made very good use of following the long but utterly worthwhile road journey, the swallows swooped as the sun began to set, it was truly magical. But even more magical moments were to follow with the evening ceremony procession drifting through the hallways we fell upon on our way to dinner .. an ethereal and almost otherworldly sight, not to be missed. Our food experiences were also faultless and the service level from the reception staff, room service and the sudden appearance of the delightful on site buggy drivers during a unexpected monsoon downpour to whisk us back to reception one evening was absolutely outstanding, every wish, even those we didn’t have a chance to form yet were met and delivered with such grace and warmth. The entire experience was one of quite perfectly curated and delivered understated luxury, the atmosphere was peace and tranquility and I never wanted to leave. We were also given the service of a driver and jeep to tour us through the incredible Hampi UNESCO site, a bucket list item of mine and that in itself is a memory that will never be surpassed. If I have one wish it is to return and perhaps spend more time, three days was never going to be enough. We will be back of this I am certain.
