Just stayed for 3 nights with kids, and also had a friend stay for 2 nights. Furniture is pretty rough, and rooms do not include fridges or microwaves. Makes it challenging to stay with kids. Also had to take out my own garbage 3 times. Furniture is pretty beat up as well, but beds were relatively comfy. Breakfast was fine. Essentially, the place looks like an older college dorm, and while the pool is indeed historic, the procedure for getting in, and the lots of different misc fees ($4 for bathing cap, $29 for parking, etc.) should really be bundled in to the total fee. Not letting guests swim until 2pm is kind of weird, and the place just isn't really super family friendly, even for older kids (i.e. 6.5 and 8.5), although they did like exploring the place. I'm open to coming back or even potentially joining as a member, but I think they really need to work on making the rooms more modern if they want to attract any business travel or real repeat business from serious travelers. - Getting a plate to put some pizza on was tricky, couldn't tell if plates were clean or not - Getting forks from front desk was tricky, there were not sure if they had any - Reserve one lane of the pool or perhaps even the shallow end for kids if there are kids staying, give me a break. 2 stars for the room, 4 stars for the building and the concept and what they're trying to do. I get what they're going for, but they need to work on execution.

I've stayed at a lot of budget hotels in my day, so I'm used to being ignored, but I was pleasantly surprised at the service here. The manager saw we had small children and went out of his way to move us to a bigger room at no charge. He even offered to help with our luggage, which was a first! Cleaning staff were similarly kind and friendly. It is still a budget hotel, so don't expect the Ritz, but the rooms are clean and have been updated/painted recently, the AC and wifi work great, and it's a safe and convenient location. Plus you can't beat the price. I've never written a hotel review before, but I genuinely want this place to succeed. Good luck guys, and thanks for the great stay!

This place is beautiful located right on the water on the other side of the San Francisco bay. Not only is there a beautiful view of the city. But you can also see the Bay bridge and the Golden gate bridge very clearly. The hotel itself has been updated It was very clean, our room was comfortable and it is affordable. I would recommend a room with a view of the bay. There is a great aquatic park that the hotel is connected to which makes for beautiful walks and gorgeous sunsets I would definitely recommend a stay here.

- Shared bathroom means shared with the whole floor, not with one other room like I had thought. And it’s so small, there’s no way you could legitimately shower in there. - Yes there’s elevators but no way a wheelchair could fit, so the place is not accessible. - Room is quite small as well, and the tv only has three working channels. - Absolutely no hotel parking, only street parking so good luck finding a spot nearby. -No AC in the room.
