Hotel Singer – Relais & Châteaux

My wife and I went away to celebrate a 40th birthday. As fans of skiing we both wanted a decent hotel next to the slopes. Having skied in Austria once and never heard of Berwang I took a punt, which I'm happy to report paid off. The hotel was full of warm, friendly and helpful staff. The décor tastefully traditional and flawlessly well kept & clean. The silver service half board buffet breakfast was enough to keep you going until dinner time...which was a 6 course (including cheese) set menu. The food was exceptionally well served and presented and tasted fantastic. The indoor to outdoor heated pool was a real gem. A new experience for me to go swimming surrounded by snow! We used the x3 sanas and also paid for a full body massage. It would have been nice to have the option of a jacuzzi which was not available at the hotel/spa. Also having tea and coffee available in the room and crackers to go with the cheese would have been a perfect touch but with few British guests visiting this isn't automatically provided. A kettle and tea/milk was swiftly provided once requested. The staff were always very attentive and friendly. The skiing at Berwang was great for the 5 nights we stayed. We used SunWeb services for the entire booking (including the flights, ski hire, lift passes and 1.5hr transfer from Innsbruck Airport) which went without issue. Slopes are a mix of mostly blue and reds. A couple of small black runs. We didn't take our kids this time but facilities for small children on the slopes looked great. If your a keen skier who goes multiple times a year then you will not find Berwang particularly challenging, but extremely pleasant with some good mountain restaurants. The ski hire shop was next to the hotel and being able to ski in and out was great. Also one of the main chair lifts is 30 meters from the hotel. We did the night ski on the Thursday. Busy but an experience. Free ski show Tuesday night on the nearby slopes was enjoyable. If your looking for a romantic get away with your partner then this hotel and ski resort is a fantastic choice. If your looking for a lads holiday with tons of bars for Après Ski and challenging runs then look elsewhere. That being said the bar had great cocktails. We will definitely return in future. An exemptional hotel run by an experienced and thoughtful family since the 1920's.

The most pleasant stay ever. all the elements made the stay reach new heights compared to a hotel stay. Location - the hotel - staff - restaurant etc. everything is perfect. We look forward to returning and enjoying another stay.

A family hotel in Tylol with a perfect location right in the middle of a charming village. A wide range of hiking trails departing directly from the hotel from one hour to the whole day Incredible atmosphere and service. Great views from south facing rooms.

Coming there for 31 years. Feels like coming home. Service is friendly en good. The spa is an experiance. Beautifull rooms. The beds are very good, the Pilows even better ;-) We stayed there in summer and also in winter. Perfect skiing even for beginners.

Returning to The Singer after 39 years was very special for me. I still remember the hospitality of the late Herr Singer very vividly. In particular, I have a fond memory of the kitchen party. The attention to detail and continuous improvement was very much evident. We loved the choice of pillows and our selection of fruit on our arrival. The "new" Spa facility was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our treatments. Dinner was excellent. My wife thought her (actually my) panne cotta was the best she had tasted The new generation of Singers have continued the great tradition

Warm wellcome and familiar hotel. Excellent restaurant, super wellness, very nice rooms. Mr Florian Singer does everything to feel you wellcome and comfortabel. Highclass hotel, nice people! It was our 4th time in the hotel. Thank you to the whole team!
