What a wonderful find - this truly is a luxury bed and breakfast. The warmest welcome from Chris on arrival to what I can only describe as ‘a little bit of heaven’. A beautifully decorated and well loved ‘home’ which being a guest you are lucky to have the opportunity to enjoy. Our room (no.2) the one with the 4 poster bed is indeed very special. Also, one of the best mattresses I have ever slept on - so you can be sure of a very good night’s sleep. A great sized room with a fabulous view. The perfect en-suite with its very sumptuous bath and not one but 2 overhead showers. Some very delightful touches like a decanter with just enough sherry for two - plenty of tea and coffee and homemade flapjack biscuits made by Sue. Last but not least the breakfast and wow!! Full breakfast on the first morning which really was perfectly prepared and was delicious. Sourdough pancakes on the 2nd morning - fluffy and light. Yum! Chris and Sue are absolutely charming and I would highly recommend staying here. 5

Chris & Sue were perfect hosts in a outstanding building which they have restored to provide quite the best Bed & Breakfast we have ever experienced. The rooms are charming and well provided for all we needed. The location just to the west of Gloucester gives easy access to Wales and the Midlands . Staying on our outgoing we immediately booked for our return.

What a delightful experience all around- hospitality at its finest. The hosts’ attention to detail was amazing, everything you could ever need was there, with lots of additional thoughtful gestures that made me feel appreciated as a guest. The house is beautifully designed, immaculately clean, comfy and cosy, and I much enjoyed the collection of art. Breakfast was exquisite as well, and I will be back- in the summer next time so I can enjoy the garden too.

Friendly hosts, peaceful location. Very comfortable accomodation, great shower & excellent breakfast. Stayed one night as a solo traveller. Was made very welcome in this beautifully refurbed house, and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Originally The Old Rectory Blaisdon House is a beautiful home where we enjoyed every comfort in lovely surroundings, in the village of Longhope Our charming hosts could not have been more welcoming and provided us with an excellent breakfast all locally sourced

Gorgeous B&B. Everything top notch and well considered. Quiet location with easy parking, lovely decor and comfy bed. Lovely selection for breakfast which was cooked and presented beautifully. Couldn’t fault anything and definitely would stay again.

Exceptional property set in beautiful grounds, with period furniture and paintings. The house has a history dating back in various iterations to its present identity as a former rectory. The hosts are very friendly and pride themselves on their breakfast that didn’t disappoint. There is a very nice village pub opposite that further enhances the village vibe. A fridge with fresh milk is provided in the rooms , and complimentary sherry. We would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Four uni friends staying here to reunion with a fifth living nearby. Bedrooms and breakfasts were first class, Sue and Chris always helpful without intruding, the garden a complete pleasure to relax in with sun or shade and sheltered from a moderate wind. Good choice of walks and food locally.

My partner and I stayed here for two nights on his birthday. What can I say other than this was the perfect getaway. Chris and Sue are absolutely charming and made us feel so very welcome. They went the extra mile to provide vegan food and drink for me - breakfast was exceptional. The bedroom we stayed in was perfect with a comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and it was all spotlessly clean. The gardens are fabulous and well maintained. Oh - and the hens in the garden are beautiful, not forgetting Blaise, the delightful resident terrier. We’ll definitely be back - hope we can stay longer next time.💚
