Basic hotel with a view. Hotel is not the most modern and rooms are ok with a tiny bathroom. The view on the castle is the winner. We had open doors viewing the castle and square. Location is also top right in the center. Park in the nearby city garage (9euro 24h)

Highly recommended for a budget, two star hotel. Located in the historic heart of Blois, each street-side room has splendid views of the castle and church (see photos), and is within easy walking distance of shops and cafes. Room 48 where we stayed is located on a corner site on the fourth floor, and has two large windows that open to provide a refreshing breeze. The en-suite bathroom was excellent and the twin beds were comfortable and clean. At 9 euros the breakfasts are highly recommended with eat-as-much-as you-like fresh croissants and baguettes, cheeses, hams, jams and yoghourts, plus fruit juices, teas and a freshly ground coffee machine to set you up for the day. The staff were friendly and helpful - thanks so much! We had difficulty finding the hotel until a friendly local took pity on my sister and me and drove us round the one-way system to the entrance! Think of the hotel as being located on the right side of a giant letter ‘U’, with the huge castle at the bottom, and the underground castle car park (nine euros per day) on the left side. In the centre is a park and baroque church facing the castle. Exit the car park and walk down towards the castle; cross the road and down some steps into the wooded park and past the church entrance: the hotel is straight in front on the other side of the road. The hotel provides an excellent centre for exploring the beautiful Loire. Of particular delight: Leonardo’s house in Amboise, Francois I’s Chambord, and Chenonceau (see photos).

That hotel has an excellent location in the old city, just beside the Château de Blois. Everything interesting to visit is located near the hotel, so you can easily visit the old city by walk from the hotel and go out to any nearby restaurants without using the car. I had a warm welcome from the manager and I was assigned a room on the third floor. The elevator is pretty small and slow, so with the luggage I used it, but I usually used the stairs because it was faster. The room was big enough for myself, but missed some basic commodities, like an iron. Everything seemed clean enough and relatively well maintained. However, the room, including bed sheets dated from a long time ago and needed to be updated for today's standards. I paid for the breakfast and I was not disappointed. It was a typically French breakfast and there was many choices of break, yogourt and cereals, including different cheese and meats. The hotel didn't have a parking but I easily found a place just beside the hotel. On Sunday and at night, street parkings are free. Overall, since the room's price was in the lower average of the area and mainly for its location, I would come back again.

Great location and very friendly staff. The breakfast was very good and a big plus for being dog friendly. It’s a lovely hotel. It is not super practical for a family with small kids maybe (small elevator, lots of stairs and small rooms) but what it lacks in space, it makes up for with the view, aesthetics and charm. Would absolutely stay here again.

L’établissement est très beau, vieillissant certes, on sent qu’il mériterait un petit rafraîchissement. Notre salle de bain n’était pas de première jeunesse, mais le rapport qualité prix reste tout à fait correct. Soulignons la gentillesse et la dévotion exceptionnelle du personnel. Le jeune homme de l’accueil est une machine. Sur tous les fronts, à l’accueil, au petit dej, la gestion des chambres, conseils touristiques, accueil vélo, il est partout et ne perd ni son sourire ni le petit mot sympa pour les enfants. En fin de saison, c’est remarquable. Le petit dej est très bien pour le prix, imbattable, quoique la salle est petite, mais l’équipe se plie en 4 pour vous trouver une place.

Wir wir waren zu viert unterwegs, 2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder, und hatten für eine Nacht gebucht. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit zwei separaten Räumen gebucht. Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich mit schöner Dusche Bett war bequem. Das Hotel ist urchig, Gänge und Treppen ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, jedoch sehr authentisch und aussergewöhnlich, mit vielen Zwischen Gängen, trifft vielleicht nicht jedermanns Geschmack, jedoch mit Lift bis in den 3.  Stock, dann aber kleine Treppe bis zum Zimmer. Hotel im Zentrum unmittelbar aller Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir haben nicht im Hotel gefrühstückt, hatten Croissants und Cafe in der Bäckerei in der Nähe. Es hat vereinzelt Parkplätze vor dem Haus, jedoch vor dem Hotel möglich kurz zu parken, das Gepäck raus zu lassen, ansonsten parking in 7 Gehminuten. negativer Punkt, wir hatten ein Zimmer unter dem Dach, es war sehr heiss, mit Ventilator und offenen Fenstern, konnten wir ein wenig runterkühen und ohne Moskitos. Für eine Nacht war es gut. Hätten in diesem Zimmer nicht verlängert.
