This hostel gets a 5 out of 5 vote from me and you won't find anyone as fussy as me when it comes to hostel reviews. I don't understand the mixed reviews it has been given by people staying here at the same time as myself? The staff are very friendly and help you as much as possible.....a special shout out to Ciara who is very lovely. My room was very clean and my bunk had a charging point, night light and curtain. The only minor problem are the lockers are small and square so you can't really get anything in them - they need changing to bigger ones! The meeting area is just a ten foot square area next to the reception desk with only around six seating places and likewise the kitchen area is also small with a single long table for breakfast that can only seat around twelve people at any one time. The main reasons for this is the hostel is small overall and also only has three shower rooms with the toilets housed within these rooms. This can be very annoying because if you're dying to use the toilet and all three showers are being used, you cannot gain access. The breakfast is substantial as it's an all you can eat comprising of tea, coffee and orange juice. To eat you have fruits, yogurt, ham, salami, cheese and salad. For the English pallet you have different cereals, toast, cakes, biscuits and the use of butter, jam and chocolate spreads. There's also a coffee perculator which can be used at anytime during the day. Within the kitchen there's a large fridge to store your own personal food items if you wish. You are expected to wash up all your items after you finish which is no big deal but something I don't agree with on principle. I'm on holiday and I've paid for my B&B so I don't expect to do their job for them - maybe that's just me? The location of the hostel is very good and within easy reach of the main city centre and tourist attractions with various buses a two minute walk from the front door and the main railway station just a fifteen minute walk away

Booked this hotel as it is close to the train station Bologna Centrale and the city centre. The location is therefore good and set in an interesting mixed area with cheap cafes and bars nearby. There is also a large supermarket close by. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is fairly basic considering the price you are paying for the hotel. It appears that this is mainly a hotel for business clients. However the main drawback is that there is no heating in this hotel as the A/C was switched off centrally, despite the temperature in Bologna going down to 5C at night when I was there. It is therefore cold at night in the room.

They gave us a family room outside of the main building of the hotel. So, we exposed the voice coming from the street. The room was large enough but at the first glance we felt a little bit unsafe, but it was OK. However, there was a draft of cold air in the room that we could not locate, Croissants at the breakfast were the worst I have ever tasted. Please change your supplier. Stuff was kind and helpful.

Perfectly located between the train station and city center. The hotel has a good vibe and good breakfast, coffee made to the order, etc. it is all as shown in pictures and descriptions. The staff are welcoming and helpful. I recommend and come back again if I visit Bologna again

Un ottima struttura, qualità prezzo eccellente ottima per chi va alla fiera di Bologna, più scomoda per chi deve visitare la città. Fermata mezzi pubblici nei pressi dell'hotel ma con un servizio a dire poco catastrofico, con ritardi pesanti e ripetuti, difficile poi fare il biglietto a bordo se non hai monete, le carte vengono accettate solo alcune e, oggi carta può fare un solo biglietto. I controllori se vi trovano senza ticket non vogliono sentire ragioni e vi fanno un a multa di 75 euro, servizio vergognoso per una città così bella e ricca.

Spacious, functional and well organised. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. All speak very good English. Despite the closeness to the Bologna railway station the place is set back, quiet and green, with a large outdoor area for relaxation. The rooms are functional, clean, well ventilated and fitted with A.C. Totally recommended!

The hotel is located in the city center, just a few minutes' walk from the main attractions. This made it very convenient to explore the city on foot. The self-check-in process was very easy and convenient. I received all the instructions via email and was able to check into my room without any problems. The room was clean and tidy. There were enough towels, and the capsule coffee maker was a nice addition.

Room was satisfactory. But had a lot of negatives. 1. Air conditioning didn’t work and heating was set to always on. Temp of 19 outside, the room was always roasting. Apparently they turn off the air con in October but there should be a choice to sweat or not. 2. Door to the balcony wouldn’t open properly so was always open a bit or a lot. We needed the air but the road outside is very noisy at all hours. Plus works on the plot opposite start at 8am in the morning. 3. No mention before arrival of a service tax. It was €18 for 3 people 2 nights. Not the end of the world but a surprise when you’ve paid in advance. 3. Kettle provided but no coffee or milk in the room. 4. Suite was a double bed and a couch turned into a bed in the same room. I think suite meant it had a kitchen sink and cooker in the cupboard. We wouldn’t have used it but it was so pokey with only one stool that we wouldn’t have been able to use it. 5. At 6am on our last night the electricity came on/off/on/off for 10 minutes before dying altogether. As such all devices and lights in the room came off/on/off/on disturbing our sleep. 6. On checkout there was no apology for the disturbed sleep not even a ‘I’ll waive the fee’ and the Patricia was less than understanding or apologetic.

The door lock was broken in our room The door frame was loose and fell missing my son by a few centimeters The middle WC in the lobby is loose nearly fell off The coffee machine at breakfast is broken The plates you eat breakfast on where dirty Shower head was broken spraying water everywhere The fruit at breakfast were not fresh The staff are rude I had a flight to catch at 6 am and asked the front desk to call a taxi for me and they did not. Had ro remind them in the morning of mu flight I asked for breakfast boxes for my family and I dor the day of our flight these were not ready Hotel is poorly maintained There was blood on my pillow If you want to see how bad scrambled eggs can get, then you should visit this place I would never go back to this hotel
