Hotel berhampiran Marche des Grands Hommes, Bordeaux

After cycling for 3 months across France FirstName was an absolute pleasure to spend our last days recovering and as a base to see the city. Our room was spectacular, the bed was an absolute delight to sleep in and the bathroom and wardrobe storage were magnificent. The heated mirrors in the bathroom were a real touch of class that we welcomed. Breakfast and dinners were top-notch, we just loved everything the hotel had to offer. Check-in staff worked well above any expectations we may have had. They helped us when we had bicycle transport issues and when I cut my finger they worked tirelessly with arranging for the correct hospital and transport. They all communicated with each other and the various shifts seamlessly. The staff in the restaurant area along with the chef were also outstanding and super helpful.

這家酒店位於波爾多老城區的中心位置。波爾多老城區是沒有地方停車的 且路邊警察非常敬業，到處是被投訴出警清理違停車輛的警察。我們選擇這家酒店有自己超大停車場，需要付費。但是非常方便。我們在波爾多完全步行就把整個老城區逛完了。車子留在酒店停車場。這家酒店還有小廚房，可以自己做飯，或者簡單微波爐加熱。但是波爾多的牛排太好吃了。我們都在外面吃的。

Hotel services were excellent especially the breakfast. Lots of variety and the artisanal yogurts selection was wonderful. Only negative comment is the area around the hotel. Quiet at night and best not to walk around when it gets dark.

Paid for a 4* hotel but had a room of a 3*! I was given a room in a floor where some building works were going on. Floor of the corridor leading to the room was covered in plastic and tape! Room was quite small and dark, no water in the room provided or anything in the mini fridge. Beds were badly made. With bed sheets hanging out of mattresses. Receptionist looked like was making you a favour instead of being proud of his job. Breakfast was OK but for a 4* I would expect better selection. No toaster available! Running out of coffee all the time due to only have 2 machines. Definitely not a 4* hotel for the room provided and service! Quite expensive for the service you have! Needs load of improvement if wants to be rated as such! I travel quite often so I can compare with other hotels I have been with same rating!

Arrivés à 2h du matin sans réservation, nous avons été très bien accueilli par le réceptionniste qui était très agréable. Il a proposé le lit bébé gratuitement. Le temps d’aller garer la voiture (sur le parking gratuit et sécurisé au top) le lit bébé était déjà dans la chambre. La réceptionniste du lendemain au petit déjeuner était également très agréable. L’extérieur de l’hôtel est jolie. La chambre était propre et en très bon état. Aucun point négatif. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Dès notre arrivée, l’accueil est agréable et bien décoré, sans rien demander on nous informe d’un sur classement, belle surprise., chambre magnifique. Très vite on déchante, une odeur insoutenable dans la chambre( pique les yeux et la gorge), un technicien vient constater sans solution, On nous change de chambre. Chambre alors bruyante, plus petite, plus de café, plus de surclassement… lit d’appoint à 15€ avec impossibilité de dormir dedans (barres de lit) contrainte de mettre le matelas par terre… Aucune info donnée sur salle sa spa et fitness que l’on découvrira sur un panneau en partant. Bref un séjour décevant pour le prix .

Excellent value for the price paid (£40 per night without breakfast). It is a very nice double room, with an en-suite shower and toilet. It is clean and modern, small but has all you need for an airport stay. There is a small desk, TV, aircon, hanging space for clothes. Towels and shower gel are provided. It is ideal if you have an early morning flight, and 1 tram stop from Bordeaux airport. It takes 2 mins to walk to the tram stop and the first tram to the airport leaves at 4.45am. Though they can arrange a taxi for you if required. They kindly printed my boarding pass. You can check out early in the morning, use the key drop to hand back the key, and you are given the gate code to get out when reception is not open. The only issue I had was that the Wi-Fi wasn’t working - this may have just been in the room. I didn’t have the time to inform reception, so perhaps they could have rectified this. Reception staff are helpful. You can pay for breakfast at an extra charge. Hotel doesn’t offer lunch/evening meals but there’s plenty of restaurants walking distance or short tram ride away. Very good value for the price paid, compared to other nearby hotels. I would stay again if I had an early morning flight.
