Stayed here for the Gloucester vs Bordeaux rugby match. A solid base for exploring Bordeaux, it is in Meriadeck which is not right in the centre of Bordeaux but the hotel offers a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of the old town. Hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. Although not the most luxurious of settings the Bar had a very good selection of beers and did offer basic food, although we did not try. The hotel itself is set inside a not so modern building but the rooms were all recently renovated and had modern air con and new TVs. Unfortunately the lifts were broken during the stay but the staff did their best to try and appease and opened up the service lifts. Breakfast was a little chaotic, particularly around the hot food section but this may have been down to the number of people in the restaurant at the time. Would stay again.

The hotel is outrageous in historical layout. Super location in city center close to all the best place. Lots of shopping options and best restaurants. near all the night activities. No need for taxi just walk along the main road for sightseeing. Close to convenient public transportation. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They have lots of information about activities to do. Breakfast is wonderful and tasty! I recommend to any one visiting Bordeaux. I will return!

We stayed here for 3 nights as a base to visit Bordeaux. From the outside the hotel does not look like much and google maps took us through a questionable part of town to get here. Less central than the centre would imply this hotel is about 15-minute walk from the main part of Bordeaux however it is very close to the tram and a shopping centre/mall. The room was comfortable and a typical size room for novotel. The hotel internally looks recently renovated and have a reusable water bottle system in place however its only 1 per room and there was 2 of us.

We were expecting the rooms to look like the pictures on their website and social media, and those on Tripadvisor. But, that wasn't the case for us. Some of the rooms are old, tired, damp, grubby and waiting to be re-furbished. Make sure you ask for a newly refurbished room! However, the beds were clean and so were the towels. The frontage of the hotel could also do with a makeover. Looks rundown on the outside.

Au calme même au milieu des rues piétonnes tant pour les commerces que les restaurants, tous à foison et pour toutes les bourses mais avant tout au milieu des endroits historiques et tout près de la longue promenade le long de la Garonne avec sa place de la Bourse et le vieux pont de pierres de Bordeaux ! Buffet du petit déjeuner aux grands choix tant chaud que froid, pains et viennoiseries, brioche et gâteaux, eau d’orange ou de citron, jus de fruits multiples, et pour couronner cafés en cartouche, café en grain, thés…. et évidemment un plateau de cannelés tradition de l’hospitalité bordelaise !!!

Super expérience, le personnel est tres sympathique et réactif. La chambre est spacieuse avec une très grande télé et une baignoire 2 places Petit bémol sur les rideaux qui ne sont pas entièrement occultant Mais sinon le séjour était parfait
