The hotel lobby, rooms, pool and garden are recent, nice and clean. The overall look corresponds to a 3-4* hotel. The beach is within a 5 minutes distance by foot. The downside of this hotel is mainly the food and food related hygiene. The standard hygiene habits are not respected in the dining room: the cutlery and serviettes are set on the tables but are not changed after the guests use the spot if they "look clean". The staff only removes obviously used cutlery and completes the set on the table. If utensils fall on the floor, they are picked up and put back on the tables. There was a gastrointestinal infection spreading around the hotel, while we were staying here. We saw a lady being taken by an ambulance directly from the dining room after having vomited. The vomits were cleaned fast, but not carefully disinfected. The measures taken to stop the spread of the infection were not adequate. To my knowledge, numerous guests and staff members got infected, including my family and me. Later that day, there was a hotel employee passing from room to room to count the number of infected guests. The food choice was rather small and food was often not well prepared: undercooked chicken with blood by the bone, undercooked rice, overcooked and oversalted potatoes (repeatedly), egg shell pieces in the scrambled eggs... We had trouble choosing something we would not be afraid to eat. The hotel staff is rather unwilling and makes you feel like you bother them every time you speak to them. The reception, dining room, beach and pool bar - everywhere it is the same. To be fair, this seems to be a countrywide standard behavior, as we met the same approach in all the restaurants we visited. Nevertheless, it did not make us feel welcome here. I cannot recommend this hotel.
