Relais Del Maro

A lovely experience. Beautiful rooms, the whole place scrupulously clean, friendly staff, well kept pool and gardens. Sylvia was extremely helpful and always available to advise and assist.. Congratulations, Elena, to you and your staff.

Since some time we’ve discovered the small paradise of Relais del Maro at charming Borgomaro. We’ve visited now a few times already as it seems to us one of the most friendly places we know of. Elena and staff have been so enormously well taken care of us every time we come « home », all small details are well thought about. Elena provides information for hikes, touring the area, restaurants, local crafts companies as well as, wine producers, olive oil, cheeses and lots more! You find in her small homemade booklets enough information so you want to stay for a year to discover all of the local beautiful things, or you come back frequently! Animals are welcome as in no other place in the world, they get their own bed , little bowl and some nice cookies upon arrival! Afternoon tea is great as well as the aperitif and for lunch you better stay at the beautiful setting of the Relais! Breakfast is a buffet you’ve never seen before with everything you need and lots very creative items you’ve never had before at any place! Local products (0 km) You will soon feel home like us and you can’t wait to go back…. See you at small paradise Relais del Maro soon!

Incredible place.I’ve been in the industry and I can’t say enough about this place. Sadly we only stayed one night, but the aesthetics are incredible, the food, the wine, the staff. Just wonderful wonderful and it’s such a setting! Restaurant right in the main square is amazing as well, lovely owners. congratulazioni ragazze per un risultato così meraviglioso!!!!

Location, decor and service make this B&B an experience quite unique in Provence. The authenticity of Tourette sur Loup is fully reflected in the warm and personalised service offered here. Impossible to "feel at home" with such breathtaking view from your room and from the lounge but... the well presented breakfast the cleanness and the comfort of the bed room bring one back to sweet memories of happy homes. I sincerely believe it is worth non only a deviation but an entire trip. Compliments.

We had the pleasure to be guests of Elena and her lovely team. Everything was just perfect; excellent recommendations for trips, dinner etc.; delicious breakfast; a lovely and friendly team, always with a smile. As said: just perfect! Thanks to Elena, Viola, Silvia and Martina!

We’ve stayed three nights at the relais del Maro and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is well maintained, everything looks brand new, although it has been redone a couple of years ago. The staff is as serviceminded as you can ever encounter; friendly, helpful and genuine. The rooms (we had to change rooms after 2 nights) are lovely and spacious. Changing was no bother, on the contrary, it was fun to compare rooms and discover both were just fine. Lunch and breakfast were perfect and once again served with a smile. No dining in the evening, but a small booklet, homemade by the hotel, gave plenty of useful tips. A small farewell gift we recieved upon leaving emphasised the care the staff stowed upon us. One of the best boutique hotels we have ever visited and trust me, we have been around. Ten out of ten is the only rating we can give them.

This hotel in the gorgeous mediaevel town of Borgomaro is absolutely perfect if you like an intimate boutique hotel experience. The rooms are lovely, the service is amazing, the breakfast is great, and the pool and garden overlooking the town are delightful. There’s no restaurant but the staff can recommend and book any one of several restaurants less than five minutes walk away. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

We don't usually write a lot of reviews, but we want to make an exception now. It's been two weeks since we stayed in Relais del Maro for 5 nights and since then not one day has passed without thinking about the hotel, the people we met, the region. All underneath 5-star reviews are true. The authenticity, the heart-warming values, the charming people... The whole team does such a great job to make you feel at home. One feels genuinly welcome, in style, always. Breakfast is incredible (with wonderful daily prepared fruit salad and carefully chosen local products), the whole a**osphere of the Relais feels perfect, in all of its details. We loved it. The book of the region that you receive upon arrival, created and edited by Elena herself, was very helpful. It points out the things to see, things to do, with lots of suggestions for everyone's choice. We also very much appreciated the suggestions where to go for diner, which made us find extraordinary places with local food and meet with local young entrepreneurs with such a genuine philosophy and clear vision on sustainability, respect for our soil, and for our future. (in particular Petricor in Lucinasco - check them out !! (petricor-dot-it on the website) and also the "Osteria Amaro di Podere del Maro", in Borgomaro itself. In summary, we found a little bit of "heaven on earth", and it's in Liguria. Christof and Ingrid
