The staff were very helpful and they upgraded us to a lovely spacious room with a fabulous view! The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the Pacific Mall, the museums, Newbury St.and many restaurants around. The Lucy Bar and Restaurant inside the hotel is excellent and the food was great! I recommend this hotel to everyone and will definitely stay there again.

Beautiful and clean hotel in a great location. Very close to the train station. Breakfast was a bit pricey. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We were here for our honeymoon road trip. From the moment we entered the lobby we felt welcome, excited, and we were made to feel special. Aurora upgraded our room for our special occasion. She was absolutely delightful to interact with. She was helpful and kind and answered any questions we had about the city. We had a great stay. The room was beautiful, the view of the city was gorgeous (especially from the rooftop pool & bar;) ). The breakfast buffet at the restaurant (Lucie's) next door/attached, was excellent. We did try dinner at Lucie's but that was actually awful. (Shrimp were not cleaned and therefore inedible yet we were charged for them, pizza came out with added ingredients that weren't on the menu, and the braised meat in the pasta was overcooked and mushy) That was the only blip in an otherwise perfect stay. The hotel staff always greeted us warmly upon returning from shopping/sightseeing. There are tons of little restaurants and shops nearby. We will definitely be back. What Aurora didn't know, my husband has stage 4 cancer and has never been on a trip in his entire life. This stay and these memories will stay with us, and I cannot say thank you enough.

It had been 23 years since I last visited Boston and we made the trip this summer to see colleges for my daughter. I was not sure where to stay and found a good rate for this hotel. It was perfect! Exceptional service, clean and classy and the beds were so comfortable, I slept so well every night. During the day we took the subway everywhere for our adventures (entry to the subway was literally in front), shopped and ate at the mall and walked to the nearby stores. It was so fun and wonderful! Most cherishing of all, this hotel is a pick up site for a Marthas Vinyard tour group… they pick you up and drop you off! We had a great trip and will stay here again. Thank you to the team for making this a lovely trip.

Ouch. She's a dodgy one. Rooms are in rough shape, e.g., loose tiles and missing grout in shower, stained counter and grimy mirror in bathroom, tattered chairs and beat-up furniture in the living area. But the linens seem to be clean, it's late, and I procured the room at a discount, so might as well stay and experience what I'm sure was, in some long-gone era, a 4-star hotel. Give this one a miss, folks.

This hotel believes in warm welcomes, superb hospitality from the ever-sharply dressed & knowledgeable Norman at the front to Denege (may have spelled his name incorrectly) and his brilliant smile and warmth, to the kindness and sharpness of housekeeping (Jesuina) who noted a faucet drip & had it repaired on her own. The rooms are squeaky clean, large; wonderful mattresses, fluffy pillows, robes & towels that truly dry your skin. It's also one of the few hotels that recognize the value of room service which likely costs them rather than profits them. David Colella and Mary O'Leary, thank you and your staff for years of comfort, looking forward to years more!

I visit Boston regulary, both on buisness and pleasure, by far THE BEST hotel in Boston, I rather change my travel plans than go to another hotels it they are sold out. Highly recommended. Rooms are big, clean and well equipped, we loved the bathrobes and the pillows, the most fluffy and cosy

Front desk service (shout out to Adam!) is professional, kind and extremely helpful. I always feel warmly welcomed back. Norman is exceptional too! I can’t wait to return again to visit this extraordinary city and home away from home at the Colonnade!

I did not stay at the hotel, however, witnessed a real act of kindness when my niece, who attended a medical conference, returned from a 7 mile run and Norman greeted her with “I have something for you”, a nice smile, a bottle of water and a towel. How kind, rather than having her pick up one of the many bottles displayed on a table on the way up to her to her room! Bravo, Norman!! Having watched that I may actually stay at Colonnade on my next trip to Boston!

With 22 years at the hotel, he embodies kindness and dedication, ensuring every detail was perfect. Norman’s warmth and professionalism make him a true asset to the Colonnade. The room was beautiful, and the amenities were top-notch, but it’s the staff, especially Norman, that sets this place apart. Thank you for an unforgettable stay— I can’t wait to return!
