My family and I just recently returned from vacation in which Bratislava was a part of. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and we started in Budapest, traveled by train to Bratislava and then onto Prague. Little did we know that Bratislava would be a Highlight of our trip! Namely, Jana, the hotel concierge Holds the distinction of being one of the best we have seen in any of the Marriott hotels. We are lifetime platinum members and have traveled extensively so this is saying a lot! She made us feel so special! So much so, that we are encouraging our friends not to skip over Bratislava when traveling from Budapest to Prague. Jana was our resource guide, our travel planner, and idea generator! Jana received our many emails of questions with excitement and enthusiasm. She responded very quickly, comprehensively and with valuable suggestions and tips to ensure we would enjoy our stay in Bratislava. She helped us navigate the train system, detailing times and cost and basically did all the work for us and then arranged to have us picked up at the station and then dropped off-always with a gigantic smile! After she arranged to have us picked up at the train, she greeted us in the hotel lobby with welcomed refreshments. Upon learning of our celebrating our anniversary, she gave us a wonderful riverside suite complete with champagne and delicious macarons! No detail was overlooked. Jana emailed us details regarding where to dine and what to do and then made all the arrangements-reservations for us. All we had to do was show up. What a pleasure! And she checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed your beautiful and elegant hotel, especially breakfast which was very elaborate. Our daughter tells everyone that Bratislava was the highlight of our trip. Such an unexpected delight! We all felt that Jana played a huge role in our enjoyment of your fine hotel and wonderful historic city. You are very lucky to have such a true professional, in Jana. She gave us a great gift a--wonderful family memory! Linda and Ed

Visiting Bratislava for first time. Wedding anniversary so asked if any chance by email of an upgrade. Generously gave us an upgrade to a suite. Mrs T mightily impressed with the room and facilities. Staff all friendly. Breakfast brilliant with lots of choice. Interestingly bread and butter pudding which we think used yesterday croissants and pain a chocs. Absolutely delicious. Had a small issue with the bath tap. Reported and fixed while at breakfast. Fab service. Location very central with bus and tram stops nearby and can walk to old town in 10 mins. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

I stayed in May 2023. Kitchen, bathroom and lounge areas are to a really high standard. Staff are very helpful. The hostel is a 15 minute walk from the main train station, a 5 minute walk from Bratislava Old Town and from a decently sized Tescos in Spitalska for those self-catering. I slept in an upper cubicle which I found very hot and unventilated and being in the front room was subject to late night street noise. There is no 'community'. Would I stay again? Definitely yes but only in a bottom cubicle.

I've reviewed this place before but I have to add to our experience. The hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful and we had a balcony with a lovely view BUT this time, by the time we got there in our month-long trip through Europe, we had tested positive for covid (ugh!) They took this all in stride, called our room to check up on us and brought us a breakfast tray to our room. Such an act of kindness is not forgotten and much appreciated!

We spent a weekend in the hotel in April 2023. The premises of the hotel are very nice, well maintained. Check in was quick and professional. The room was nicely equipped, only the shower gel was not replenished even once during the stay. We paid for our stay with breakfast, where the selection was rather weak. What we definitely didn't like in a hotel of this category were the uniforms and especially the shoes of the waiters. A breakfast waiter in brown ankle Nike Jordan sneakers…..that really doesn’t fit. Overall the environment was not friendly. We also visited the hotel bar. The young waitress was giving to her friend at the bar and was oblivious to the other guests. We will probably not return to this hotel.

The hotel was good, but it feels a bit overpriced as I booked even better one for the same price in Vienna, which is a contrast city in terms of the price. Gentleman at the reception was friendly. Bear in mind that the hotel will charge additional city tax when you move in. The hotel itself was more less clean, but the room was not spotlessly cleaned to be honest. I had some hair on the soap dispenser and some threads in the bath. The bed was a bit small and short, furniture was slightly damaged. The door had old post soviet style of faux leather Ron top and I was wondering why… I woke up at the middle of the night from the screams of the children that were so loud in the corridor for some reason. The sound insulation is not good at all there sadly and the fabric door did not really help. The hotel has nice authentic lobby which reminds a Soviet porch with Persian carpets. I booked 1 month in advance for 26th of December and paid $68, which I think is overpriced, considered the quality and space of the room. If it was cheaper, I’d have given more starts for this review. It is ok for one night if you just come and fall asleep. Hotel needs renovation.

Das Hotel macht äußerlich einen guten Eindruck, überzeugt mit seinen Fotos von alten Filmen und Stars hat aber bei näherem Hinsehen einige Mängel. Es ist nicht behindertengerecht, die Treppen zur zweiten Etage erinnern ältere Menschen an eine Bergbesteigung. In meinem ”Bruce Willis” Zimmer empfand ich es als unangenehm an keinem Bett eine Steckdose oder Lampe zu haben, wenn man mal zur Toilette möchte. Die Freundlichkeit vom Personal war wirklich abhängig von der Person. Mal sehr herzlich, mal eher gequält. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr vielseitig und lecker, zu empfehlen. Das Hotel besticht mit seiner Lage zur Altstadt und ist für sportliche Menschen für einen Kurzaufenthalt sicherlich zu empfehlen

Ficamos hospedados no quarto 606 de 27 a 28/11. O quarto é excelente mas ficamos surpresos com o péssimo atendimento da ”recepcionista” que nos atendeu por volta das 07:30 da manhã. Extremamente arrogante e debochada. Nos sentimos indesejáveis no ambiente. Sempre vamos a Europa e foi a primeira vez, em todas as cidades e países que já tivemos, que fomos mal atendidos dessa forma. Acho importante averiguar se isso acontece com outros hóspedes pois os apartamentos são excelentes, mas se precisasse voltar, não voltaria pra esse hotel e não indicarei para amigos que ainda isso a Bratislava. Ninguém merece esse tipo de tratamento.

We were accommodated here with friends, and we were very satisfied, we got a 20% discount to the Antinori bar, which we took advantage of. An ideal place for young people, we had everything nearby. The owner was very helpful, we had booked two apartments and we were very pleased when the owner told us that he can give us two apartments that can be connected.

Dit appartementhotel is heel gunstig gelegen ten opzichte van het oude centrum van de stad. Het appartement was ruim en compleet, met een goed ingerichte keuken. Prima parking onder het hotel en prettige (schoonmaak) service en een fijn verzorgd ontbijt. Een aanrader voor een citytrip naar deze prachtige stad die qua prijs , comfort en culturele verrassingen ver te verkiezen is boven Wenen. Buiten de oude stad is het Danubiana Meulensteen Art museum gelegen aan de Donau een absolute aanrader!
