Ulasan Hostel Folks

The hostel was clean and it was near the city centre of Bratislava. The owner was super friendly too. I got a room upgrade as the mixed dorms were occupied by a group. A fan was provided during the summer hear and it helps a lot. Rea and coffee outside was free. Overall, a very good choice if you are travelling to Bratislava.

The location was perfect with the tram and bus stop just around the corner. There are many halal food shop available too. There is SPAR within 5 minutes walk too. But the toilet available is only 1 for female. There are many shower stalls available tho even though they did not provided soap. And no slippers too. The bed and pillow is so soft and comfortable.

This is my first time in Bratislava so I was a bit worried when I realized I would be arriving hours later than originally planned, and that the reception would be closed (closes at 10pm). The very nice person who messaged me about my arrival at Hostel Folks/Folks Hostel was kind enough to check me in, leave the key on the desk for me, and send me instructions for how to get in and which room & bed were for me. I found it all easily, and was impressed by the positive energy and the cleanliness. Also, my room (6-bed room) was HUGE! All of my luggage fit into the locker, and the bed was comfy. The showers and toilets were clean, the kitchen nice and neat, and the room with all the tables is ample in size. I would 100% return to this hostel if I ever have the opportunity to return. Oh, also, there is a stack of maps on the reception counter, and a vending machine in the common room.

Hostel Folks is located right in the center of Bratislava, very convenient for visiting the city's most famous attractions. It's situated on the second floor of an old building and has about 10 rooms, including dormitories for 6 and 8 people. Toilets are shared by all rooms (4 toilets, divided into separate areas for men and women), bathrooms are shared (4 for women and 3 for men), there's a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, shared lounge with TV, sofa, etc. Free tea and coffee are provided. I think this place is more suitable for young people and groups of students to hang out together... rather than families. The facilities are a bit old, but adequate. The location is really good and convenient for sightseeing. Security is also quite good. It's suitable for young people who want to travel between cities in Europe, want a good location, and save money.

😔 I’m really sorry to say this, but unfortunately I have to leave a negative review for this hostel. First, the positives: ✅ Large rooms ✅ Very friendly staff ✅ Excellent location ✅ Great price Everything would honestly be perfect… BUT there is one massive problem. 🚨 The sanitary conditions here are absolutely unacceptable. In my opinion, health and safety authorities should seriously inspect this place. It’s unbelievable that on one entire floor — with what felt like 100–200 male guests staying there at the same time — there is ONLY ONE toilet. And that toilet is tiny, almost like an airplane bathroom… actually even less comfortable than on a plane. ✈️🚽 I have traveled a lot around the world and I have NEVER seen something like this before. One toilet for an entire hostel floor is simply shocking and completely unreasonable. Without this issue, I would have gladly recommended this hostel, because many things are really good. But basic sanitary facilities are essential, and unfortunately because of this I cannot recommend this place and I will never come back. ❌

Very new and clean spacey hostel, suitable for female solo travel, close too all destinations and photo spots. Highly recommended:)

Slovakia is small, so it’s easy to get around the city—either by walking or by bus for just a few stops. As a solo traveller, I really recommend this hostel. There’s also a laundry service (for €5). My clothes came back fresh and smelled really good—thank you for taking care of them. The hostel is tidy and neat, and the people I met here were friendly and kind. Everyone follows the rules and respects others. One more thing—the common area is super comfy and spacious. Plus, you can leave your luggage here for free if you have an early check-in or late check-out.

Beautiful and clean and I had a great time in here. The location is right in the center and you can walk all the tourist spots.

The dorm is super and the in church is really very good he provided everything without cost even the coffee and tower everything I hope to stay here again and I recommend people to be here if you're solo travelers

Super einfach, recommended for solo travelers or with friends also. Staff is friendly and accommodate self check in too.

The location is easy to find, very near to the Michael's Gate. The common room and the room is also very clean and tidy. A locker is also given to store your bags in the room during the stay.

Great location and friendly receptionist. As a gueshouse, it’s acceptable for short stay. A bit noisy outside since it’s adjacent to tramway.

Location is excellent but it's located near a club and bar so there was loud music for the whole night and there were no curtains on the room windows. I think it wasn't value of money option. Paid less than this at Vienna central location and got much better services there.

It was such a lovely place to stay. People who work there nice, location is perfect, also tons of bus stops or trams. So, u can almost reach where u wanna go. Anyway, it's in old town so u can walk and go look around by foot :)). I definitely highly recommend you guys to stay :) You're welcome. @Alexanderjinkim 슬로바키아나 비엔나 여행 계획 중이시라면 여기 이 숙소에서 머무르시는거 추천합니다. 도시 자체는 중세시대 느낌 풀풀 나며, 다만 비엔나 근처라 물가가 싸진 않습니다. ㅠㅠ 그래도 비엔나보다는 싸며 제 생각으로는 이틀이면 브라티슬라바 거의 다 돌아볼 것 같아요. 비엔나에서 버스타고 1시간 안쪽 걸려요 추천은 비엔나 공항에서 Flix bus 타고 MOST SNP에서 내려서 저는 트램 4번타고 약 5분정도 걸어가니 숙소 도착했습니다 :) @Alexanderjinkim
