"This hotel has a lot of history and fantastic potential, but the way it is managed right now is straight up terrible. There are so many flaws that it makes a stay here pretty miserable. It might be okay for 1 night if you have an early morning bus ride, but even in this case your stay will not be enjoyable. Small details like a spitting faucet, lack of shelf in the shower to put your toiletries, dirty table cloths and chipped dishes in the restaurant, no light in the lobby, broken light switches in the room, broken things fixed with duct tape, no shampoo etc - numerous details just make you sad."

Shae IslamThe hotel is in the perfect location, scenic and near restaurants, shops etc. It is walking distance to old town and a lot of the sights, like the cable car, the wooden fountain, historical mosques, city hall, eternal flame, museums, markets, etc. The hotel is super clean and the staff are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The room itself was huge, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was fantastic, you’re given toiletries and tea, coffee etc. Breakfast each morning was fresh and tasty, buffet style with a variety of juices and coffees/teas, ate so much! Used the sauna which is free and you book sessions with the reception staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again when I visit Sarajevo Bosnia again, loved it! Thank you :-)

PurplemomNice, clean, and conveniently located near the Old Town. The hotel is just opposite the Latin Bridge (about 50 meters away), with the museum approximately 60 meters away and the Old Town about 100 meters away. We made the right choice staying here. There are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby, including halal options.
The laundry service is about 300 meters behind the hotel, although the area is uphill. The dry market is also within close proximity. The team is very helpful and provides good guidance on the places we asked about. They were also accommodating when we arrived late from Mostar at midnight.
The tram stop is just across the Latin Bridge and also located at the back of the hotel, making transport very convenient.

Stayed here for one night before an early morning flight and had a really lovely stay. I honestly didn’t realize until I arrived that Hotel Baškuća had been featured in TIME’s World’s Greatest Places 2025 and National Geographic Traveller’s European Cities Collection 2025; such a nice surprise and very well deserved.
The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to Baščaršija (the old bazaar), which made it very convenient for exploring Sarajevo even with a short stay. The room was very cozy, clean, and comfortable, and the amenities were all thoughtfully prepared. Everything felt well-kept and welcoming.
I had to leave very early for my flight, so unfortunately I didn’t get to try the breakfast, but I heard from others that it’s excellent.
Overall, a very pleasant stay and I’d happily recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Sarajevo especially if you want somewhere comfortable, charming, and well located.

It was a great experience to staying there. I can recommend to everyone. Only thing is it’s a bit far from centrum but you can use the tram or you can get a taxi. All the best to IBIS STYLE and all staff’s.

Incredible hotel with very kind and welcoming staff. Nice and large rooms with an incredible view of the forest, a very unique experience. Would like to extend a thanks to Sanin for making the best hot chocolate I've ever had, and Mladen for serving us in the three times (!!!) we used the downstairs restaurant which had probably the best pizza I've ever had. I never use the restaurant in the hotel but this was seriously exceptional and had plenty of options. I ended up ordering Pizza Trebevic twice on two separate days. The breakfast options were good too.
Special thanks also to Mellisa at the front desk who let us check out late because our flight was late in the evening and greeted us with nothing but kindness, and booked us taxis as we needed.
The only problem you might have with the hotel is that the location is high up in the mountains. Cab drivers probably won't be very pleased to take you up easily and you will feel guilty that they drove so far for you. The hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere but the hikes around the area make it worth it. On the map it looks like it is not far from the main town but it is really far compared to other options. Go to this hotel if you intend to hike often but just bear in mind that you are high up in the mountains, far away from the old town center

Pengguna TetamuI arrived around 1300 but there is no one on the ground floor as the hostel located in the 2nd floor. I waited and called the hostel via trip.com. Then the owner appeared and opened the door for me. I paid 5euro for deposit of the key. Once return the key, he will give you the money back.
In overall, they have normal hostel needs, kitchen, toilet, hair dryer, bathroom. One bathroom for 3 rooms which is a bit less. But we got time to use this. The bed is good. I like the bund bed is high. If a man sit on the lower bed, he could straighten his back. The room I assigned is quite windy at daytime I really like it. FYI, it looks like no AC on the room. But I dont need AC during the tim

Pengguna TetamuЧто понравилось: номер чистый, расположение удобное, от отеля можно добраться пешком до интересных достопримечательностей. Вид из окна также был красивый, т.к. отель находится немного на возвышенности. Завтрак был вкусным и разнообразным, можно 100% что-то для себя подобрать.
Что не понравилось: интерьер старенький, очень мало розеток и они в неудобных местах. Воды в бутылках нет, кулеров нет - ближайшее место где можно попить это купить банку колы в вендинге на первом этаже. Регистрацию после заезда производят долго, у нас забрали паспорта до самого утра (в других местах такая процедура делалась за 15-30 минут). Урны в номере нет. Точнее есть одна, в которую стекает вывод кондиционера. Очень странно, но ладно. Зубных щеток также нет.

We came early because of the train schedule. The receptionist is very helpful to checked us in early and gave bigger room to us.Location is just behind the sarajevo train station but you need to take cab because of the hill. It has wifi and elevator. They accepted card payment.Easy to carry big luggage. No public transport around but the receptionist always helped us to call taxi
