We've stayed at 7 Super 8s and we know what to expect. Sometimes not the best breakfast, and often very old rooms. This was our first Super 8 in Germany. I am so glad it was cheap because it was literally HALF the size of the American Super 8s, had no functioning AC, only one hard chair, nowhere to sit to watch TV, the TV was ridiculous, it was exactly the TV I grew up with in the 70s, meaning when you click GUIDE, you only get a list of channels that you can click on. That is exactly like a 70's TV, where you know the channel, you select it, and you see what you see. There is no true GUIDE feature, telling you *WHAT* you are watching, and no program list showing what programs are coming up next, on each channel. So, a 70s TV. There is no refrigerator in the room. There is no microwave in the room. There is no ice machine in the hotel (normal for Germany) but this one didn't even give us a cup of ice when requested, because they ran out. (And didn't make more?) Parking costs 10Euro, the few free spots out front were all taken and so cramped we could barely fit our normal sized car through the ”lot”. Breakfast costs 12 per person? That is absurd. No Super 8 in America charges for either service. I'm just so glad this place is cheap. Please don't come here expecing Super 8 Standards.

We are on day 9 of being in Bavaria and I think our 5th or 6th hotel. This is by far the best and most comfortable. The bed is so awesome. The staff are welcoming. Two big drawbacks; no air conditioning and finding the actual hotel location. We arrived late at night, I had made a reservation and paid ahead of time. We were so frustrated at not being able to find the hotel we drove about 10 minutes away and were going to check into a Holiday Inn Express. The guy at the front desk there was sooooo sweet, when I told him we were unable to find the NinetyNine Hotel, he did everything but drive us to the front door. He printed off directions and told us exactly what to look for! It's located next to the Universitat Augsburg a sort of industrial area on the outskirts of town. When we woke up in the day time we realized the GPS had taken us right next to the hotel but there are no visible neon signs at night. I am really glad we wound up finding it. They hotel is big on sustainability and animal conservation and awareness. The decor is wonderfully strange yet welcoming with butterflies 🦋, monkeys, fish 🐟 and other animals all around. There is a full bar in the lobby, breakfast is available and a small refrigerator in the lobby with drinks for sale. Oh and it is located above the Rewe grocery store and you get access to the fitness center right next door. I absolutely recommend this hotel.

Sehr freundliches Personal, gute Zimmer-, Bad- und Hotelausstattung und mit Balkon. Trotz der guten Bubstanz, hier und da im Zimmer etwas renovierungsbedürftig (zB herausstehende Schraube an der Baddecke). Auch leider kein Hoteleigener Parkplatz. Trotzdem empfehlenswert.

What the Hollyday in Express hotel Augsburg in Germany does to customers is unacceptable and subject to legal action for false advertising. the hotel sells rooms with air conditioning and turns off the air in the hotel. I want my money back. the hotel has no right to say how I want to sleep if it has put the room on sale with air conditioning. First, the attendant on the first night (02/10/23) said they were turning it off because it was winter (which is unbearably hot). later, the attendant said that I should change hotels before checking in when I found that there was no air. the other attendant, tonight (03/10/23) said that the hotel had a list of rooms where the air conditioning worked and another list of rooms that didn't work and had the outrageous to send me to two rooms where the system turns on but doesn’t worth at all. the truth is that the hotel wants to save money over the customer with false advertising. I want my money back, I'm outraged, because I slept very badly and I would never stay in a hotel without air conditioning without being fully aware of it. I doubt that in Six Senses, which is part of the same group as Holliday Inn the air is turned off at some point. The manager is in completely silence. I expect the total refund of the expenses of the reservation.

New and modern but with a very professional staff (even if they look very young). Will certainly be back if I have to book a room in Augsburg. Wifi was regular and strong and the breakfast was to die for. It take 20 minutes to reach the Dome (city center) but the roads a quite and green.

Höchstpersönlich hat uns der Hotelmanager sehr herzlich empfangen, check-in und check-out sowie die Parkmöglickeit unseres Urlaubautos in der TG erläutert. Das zentral zur A 8 gelegene moderne, funktional, minimalistisch, ästhetisch klar gestaltete Hotel mit direktem ÖPNV-Anschluss (Strassenbahn) zur Innenstadt beeindruckt. Das Zimmer ist geschickt aufgeteilt und praktisch eingerichtet. Selten haben wir so ein gut aufgeteiltes Bad mit perfektem Fugenraster des Fliesenspiegels, den klaren Details gesehen. Da freut sich der lernende Fachmann. Das reichhaltige Frühstück war uns Genuss. Gerne kommen wir wieder, wenn uns der Weg in des Süden vorbeiführt. Wir bedanken uns herzlich. Preis, Leistung, Lage sind absolut stimmig und weiter zu empfehlen.

This is a strange property. Location is close to the city center. Parking is behind the hotel and very inconvenient. Breakfast is not included and the cost is $15 Euros. Don't pay it. You are in walking distance from a bakery, a Starbucks, and a McDonalds all where you can get breakfast for half that. The rooms are huge - almost too big for the configuration. Room is spacious, but the bathroom is tiny. Shag carpet which is an interesting choice for a hotel. Rooms are clean. Towels, etc outside the bathroom because the bathrooms have zero storage or counter space. Hotel staff is not particularly welcoming. You definitely feel like you're in the principal's office. Rigid is the word I would use to describe the experience. It wasn't a terrible experience, but probably would try something different if I'm in the area again.

The hotel is very well located for the city centre sights. The room was very comfortable and the staff were friendly and most helpful. Dinner was delicious - we tried the Menu Gastronomique - and would recommend it. Maitre D in the restaurant was most impressive.The hotel is smart modern and feels up market. Parking is secure and just behind the hotel.

Ordentlich, bis auf einige offensichtlich hartnäckige Flecken im Flur im Teppich. Zimmer aber top, funktionell und geräumig mit guten Ablagemöglichkeiten. Bad mit genug Platz, ordentliche Dusche. Betten etwas zu hart!! Erst nicht gewöhnt ist könnte Rücken bekommen… Lage top am Eingang zur Innenstadt. Parkhäuser in der Nähe, Bahnhofshaus als Gast direkt für 7€/d echt günstig. Frühstück vielfältig aber nicht übertrieben. Service super aufmerksam und nett. Preis/leistung gut.

This hotel is located near the hospital, around 5 km (3 miles) away from the city center. You can visit the city by tram or by taxi/Uber. The hotel has spacious rooms (for European standards) and it is clean. The beds are comfortable. But what I liked the best is the attitude of the personnel. They are *ALL* very kind, ready to help you with anything, and very accommodating. One thing you need to keep in mind, though, is that the reception is not open 24 hrs. If you leave after hours (e.g., early morning) you need to check out the night before and then you leave the room key in your room. Another great feature is the quality of the breakfast buffet they have. you really need to try it! It includes eggs (hard-boiled and scrabbled), an assortment of cured meats and cheeses, freshly baked croissants and various breads, sweets, and a bunch of other items. If breakfast is not included in the room price, it costs 15 Euros (and it is well worth it!) Around the hotel there are not too many things to do. You can have dinner there or walk 7-8 min to go to a nearby biergarten (Grill 'n Chill). But be aware that at certain times at night, sitting outside makes you a mosquito target. If you are going to the Munich airport they can recommend you a taxi/limo service, which operates a direct shuttle service for 50 Euros (they have more expensive options if you do not want to share your drive). This is a great deal since the railway ticket costs 29 Euros, you need to get a taxi to the station (I paid 15 Euros for Uber), and you need to change trains in Munich. So, if you need to stay near the hospital or you want a very good place to stay while visiting Augsburg, this is a great choice.

From booking to arrival to departure, City Hotel Ost am Kö exceeded expectations. Excellent, superbly-connected location and well-appointed room. Bathroom tight (single room) but clean, well maintained and with thoughtful extras such as wall hooks and good mirrors that other places seem to forget. Wi-fi was free and one of the easiest I've ever connected with in a hotel. Mini bar (not used) and good unpacking space. Slept well but the pillow could have been better. Hotels don't have to be fancy to be rated 5-stars. The staff here could show up those at some fancier places. Surprisingly good breakfast offer - included and available till midday. Small sauna needs booking. Didn't have an opportunity to use but saw that it looked fine, with a good relaxing area. If in the centre of Augsburg again, I'd head straight for City Hotel am Kö - also if staying with someone.

Hotel located about 4km from Augsburg City centre. The hotel rent free bikes, which we made the most of during our stay, as there is a beautiful river and miles of forest covered park to cycle around. We also used the bikes to go to the city centre as the tram wasn't operating. Free ample parking. Fantastic breakfast. Free ice cream. Room was large and had a fridge and kettle. Slightly older decor, but nice bathroom. My only criticism is, there is a musty smell, but no idea where this is coming from as everywhere is spotlessly clean. The reception staff spoke English and were helpful and friendly. And the restaurant staff were excellent too. Thanks for a lovely weekend. Would recommend.

Located directly opposite the Ausburg Hbf, this 4 stars hotel is indeed great for a good stay! Requested for a back facing room, given 301, spacious Superior Twin room with a bathroom & bathtub. TV was big, minibar, safe & kettle but no coffee/tea. Check in was at 3pm and we were allowed in only at 2.30pm, dead tired after been walking from 9.30-2.30pm! While waiting for room, we were offered tea/coffee at the hotel breakfast area. Sound proofing was good when windows are closed. Small but fast elevator. Breakfast was quite expensive and was not included in our rates. Common areas of the hotel are tastefully furnished in a classical style, love it! Location is really superb - opposite a mall with Rewe supermarket & dm Markt. And next to a shopping street with Muller, C & A, Peek & Copllenger (spelling?). Overall, a good one night’s stay for us.

PPengguna TetamuIm Oktober 2023 habe ich im Rahmen einer Geschäftsreise im Art Hotel Ana im Augsburger Vorort Haunstetten übernachtet. Ich werde es vermutlich nicht noch einmal tun. Wird die Rezeption dem hochtrabenden Namen ”Art Hotel” vielleicht noch gerecht, so verlässt einen die Kunst spätestens dann, wenn man den Aufzug betritt. Denn ab hier wird es ziemlich schäbig. Enge Flure mit einem ranzigen Teppichboden und ein Zimmer im 3. Stock, das man mit seinen gefühlten 8 qm wohl eher als Dachkammer bezeichnen würde. Bei Außentemperaturen im niederen einstelligen Bereich war das Zimmer auch noch praktisch unbeheizt, denn dem Heizkörper waren alle Drehungen am Thermostat sehr egal und die Klimaanlage blies nur kalt. Als Abhilfe hat man mir die Miniaturausgabe eines Heizlüfters ins Zimmer gestellt, der seiner Aufgabe allerdings nicht gewachsen war. Zur Krönung gab's dann noch eine ziemlich durchgelegene Matratze im Bett. Alles zusammen für über 200 € pro Nacht. Ohne Frühstück wohlgemerkt. Wie sich das abgewohnte Vorstadthotel seine vier Sterne erschlichen hat, bleibt ungeklärt (ein nachträglicher Check der Plakette ergibt: die Klassifizierung ist 2020 abgelaufen).

Checked in was quick, room was ok, though a small bathroom but fully functional with a heater of its own. Linen is changed once every four days as a routine. Breakfast was ok, covers most of the usual stuff. In all, a nice and convenient place to stay if you would be out most of the day.

Durch eine relativ kurzfristig Weiterbildung habe ich ein preiswertes Hotel in Augsburg gesucht. Das B&B hat sich angeboten. Lage ist Klasse. Man hat die Haltestelle vor der Tür und auch den Zoo bzw. Den botanischen Garten. Parkplätze gibt es genug hinter dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war ein Doppelzimmer zur Alleinbenutzung inkl. Klimaanlage. Als ich das Zimmer betrat hat mich sofort Rasierwasser Duft überrannt. Ein vorheriger Besucher hatte dieses vermutlich aus Versehen auf dem Boden verteilt. Im Bad roch es nach Rauch. Gerade wenn man die Lüftung etwas länger laufen ließ. Das Bett war bequem und man könnte gut schlafen. Leider ist die Straßenbahn so laut, dass man denken könnte es gewittert in regelmäßigen Abständen. Mit oropax klappt das schlafen aber dann gut. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung. Leider viel verpackt und dadurch viel Müll. Ich würde nicht mehr kommen ausser es gäbe nichts anderes.

Rezeptionist bei check-in für Gruppe überfordert und arbeitete im Zeitlupen Tempo. Check-out ging flott und emotionslos. Zimmer ok, allerdings reinigt Zimmer-Service gebrauchte Gläser nicht. Restaurant kann man nutzen, wenn man keine größeren Ansprüche hat. Frühstück aufs nötigste reduziert - häufiger Nachfragen notwendig, wenn etwas aus ist. Das Hotel an sich ähnelt einem Museum...alles wild durcheinander. Kein stylisches System erkennbar - sehr überladen. Wellness habe ich nicht genutzt - Bademantel in Kindergröße. Super hingegen Parkmöglichkeit vor dem Haus und Anbindung an die Strassenbahn vor der Tür (ca. 20 min in die Innenstadt) sowie die Autobahn. Discounter um die Ecke.
