"Me alojé en el Axel Hotel Bilbao y quedé muy satisfecho con mi estancia. El hotel cuenta con sauna y jacuzzi, y además tiene una piscina en la azotea que es perfecta para relajarse.
El check-in es a partir de las 15:00, pero como la habitación estaba disponible, me permitieron entrar un poco antes, lo cual agradecí mucho.
El personal fue muy amable en todo momento. Sin duda, una experiencia muy positiva. ¡Volvería a alojarme aquí!"

Jimmy _ValenciaWhat a great hotel! Across the board we were blown away by how perfect this hotel made our stay.
The staff - ALWAYS helpful and fun and professional.
The room - Beautiful, large double bed for us was more than adequate and a large room.
Bathroom - Great size and LARGE tub and shower with TONS of water pressure.
Location - Bilbao is one of the most walkable cities, but the hotel is right at the edge of the river so 10 min to Guggenheim and 5 min to the old town.
Breakfast - We had breakfast a couple times and the beans and eggs were my staple. The eggs were off the first visit, but the second visit they were much better. Bacon and pastries were tasty and the cream cheese with herbs was a treat.
We will be back for sure. You won't be disappointed by staying here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Location, Cozy Room—Watch the Bed!
Vicci Consulado de Bilbao has a fantastic location—right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and public transport. It’s perfect for exploring Bilbao on foot.
The room itself was stylish and clean, though quite compact. If you’re traveling light, it’s fine, but space is definitely tight. One funny (and slightly painful) moment: I actually fell off the bed! It’s positioned close to the wall and a bit narrow, so maybe not ideal if you toss and turn at night.
Despite that, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the hotel was modern and welcoming. I’d recommend it for solo travelers or couples who don’t mind a snug space and want to be in the middle of the action.

Rooms are incredibly spacious and comfortable. Location is perfectly located to easily walk to the Guggenheim, old town and a metro stop very close by. Plenty of shops and coffee/breakfast/brunch places close by. Staff are also lovely.

Pengguna TetamuGreat hotel and location, clean, provides all the amenities, great service and has a lovely coffee shop at the reception too.
I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
One small improvement I would suggest and this is just personal preference, not something that should deter someone from booking, it would be great if there was a fridge in the room so you could keep drinks cool whilst you are spending time there.

The window in the room was blocked since the handle was removed, so we could not open the window for fresh air or emergency
The airconditioning was very poor. Even when leaving it on, it took hours before the temperature came down from 26 degrees to 23 degrees. This is too high for sleeping.

Choose the hotel for its proximity to the Intermodal bus interchange. We walked to all the main tourist attractions from the hotel. Bilbao is a very walkable city.
What sets this hotel apart is the friendliness of the staff. The front counter team is genuinely friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Noemi who went out of her way to help us and gave advice on airline lost luggage.
The room is spacious for our needs. The king bed is super comfortable, with just the right firmness. Linen is plush and pillows are fluffy. It has a simple yet functional tea-making facility in the room. The room came with USB charger by bedside, which is essential for today's travellers.
We love the bathroom. Well-lit, full-size shower with strong water pressure. You will find the basic amenities (Toothbrush etc) in the bathroom.
The cleaner did a good job with the room. The hall and public areas are all spotless. Judging based on the interior, the hotel might have been refurbished not that long ago.

Pengguna TetamuLocation is super convenient for a short stay in Bilbao since it’s right above the terminal bus station for airport bus. It’s a nice walk over to Guggenheim museum as well as many places to eat/drink. I only stayed one night and because it was so hot mid day I just explored the surrounding area early in the evening. Wish the hotel of this size had a pool though. They gave me a great room by end of the hallway which was perfect for quiet rest. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, shower was great, overall perfect one night stay.

Walking distance to metro station to access Bilbao estacion de autobuses, shopping galore!
Highly recommend this hotel! Big room, big bathroom as in USA standards!

Hotel is in a great location, close to shopping district and close to bars and eateries.
Rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom had a shower and a bath which is unusual but well received. About 20 mins in a taxi from Bilbao airport.
Service was good at check in/out.
Roof top bar is a nice offer with a variety of drinks.
I would stay here again.
