Hotel La Union dengan Sarapan

Monaliza Surf Resort offers the best location having located by the beach, literally. I stayed in Room 3, accomodation for 6 with my family. The room has a balcony which leads to, yes, the beach and the party! Room is nothing too fancy but leaves enough room for all of us, with 2 bunk beds and a sofa/beds.

I love the place, very accessible it's just 5 hrs away from Cavite. The guards, receptionist and cleaners are all nice and friendly. I love the pool beach access to the pool, it was clean and big and you can just chill there all day. I also love that they put random chairs at the beach where you can sit and just watch the beautiful sunset of La Union. Check in time is also reasonable they allowed us to check in at 1:30 since the room is already available. They also have a complimentary birthday arrangement if you note that it's your birthday during reservation. I love their couple massage room, quite and clean and the therapist are also good. Overall my stay was so good except when I dine at their Coast restaurant, I don't expect some royal treatment but a polite staff would be nice. When we arrive to eat lunch the waiters take forever to bring you the menu, they won't help or point you where to seat they would not greet you or anything when you come in, this was a very unusual experience for a 5 star hotel, but even though their servers are not professional the sisig and grilled squid taste good so I gave them a chance and dine in again and was thinking maybe they have a better service during the evening but my gosh it was far even more worse, there are so many flies at our table and we have to consistently ask for assistance again which takes forever, they would not even make an effort to find a better table for you and I end up moving to another table by bringing my own plate w/ zero assistance and the servers are just staring, so my last straw was when there are still flies everywhere I just asked if we can just have the food packed and politely ask to pls include the fish and chip sauce I still have but being the consistent awful servers at Coast restaurant of course when we arrive at the room there is no sauce so I was not able to eat my left over fish and chips, although the pansit and fish and chips taste good it would not suffice my irritation with the service and again it was not even crowded there are only few tables with people seating so I cannot just imagine if madaming tao sa restaurant I am usually more understanding kapag mas busy but having 2-3 tables occupied with this amount incompetent staff was just wow, since I learned my lesson the hard way we dined at salt and sea the next day and they are far more better than the servers at coast, the food was also good at Salt and Sea so yeah when I comeback I will definitely skip Coast. Complimentary breakfast is also at Coast, there are typical Filipino breakfast selection which is ok to fill your tummy but just be prepared to wait if you want sausages, lol. There was a waiter who got 10 sausages in a row to bring wherever and it was just only refilled with 20 sausages that time so there are only 3 people on the line who were able to get the another 10, typical coast service. I recently enjoyed a fantastic stay at Marand Beach Resort by Cocotel, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The location is absolutely stunning, with pristine beaches and crystal-clear waters creating a tranquil paradise. The place is very clean and homey. Plated breakfast being served tastes good and had enough serving. Staffs are very helpful, and works with integrity, especially when I left my ring in the room during check out. No fridge, television, and hair dryer. But there are electric kettle, mugs, glasses, bath towels, and toiletries provided. They also got strong WIFI connection. This is not a typical hotel set up where you could expect that someone would assist you at anytime. So manage your expectation especially when coming back late from outside, as you need to use the door bell for the caretaker to open the main gate for you. Not an issue for us at all since the caretaker is attentive enough to assist. There is a limited parking space inside the yard but I think there are available space nearby for rent. The only improvement to ask would be to install thicker curtains for better privacy and a more relaxed experience as it can block lighting and noise from the outside. I would definitely go back to this place. Thank you!

Good amenities, excelent sevice and clean rooms

The access road is narrow one way so maybe go around the back of palengke. Check-in was friendly and fast. The atmosphere is romantic and quaint. A cute resort style. With 3 very mall swimming pools. The beach is quiet, clean, nice and private but with a steep slope down and warning signs mark the entry way that it could be dangerous to swim. And I can see why. Not really for kids unless you born at the beach and know it's quirks. Breakfast was 4-5 pre set choices but very OK for me. For me just some fruit pcs and bread, honey with butter will do the trick. With a juice and coffee. We went to Kahuna beach for some sea swimming and surfing lessons. Which is like 10 minutes by car or 50P per person in tric which strikes me as steep. The beach is much more shallow for safer swimming. But also quite busy acting as the public beach. But if you like peace and quiet and enjoy the beach itself this place is really an option. Rooms were older quaint style but roomy. Shower was nice but please change the shower head in room 8. It is spraying everywhere. The bed mattress was good but I didn't like the bedding being only a cheap blanket. No sheets. Staff was excellent and friendly. Oh and the restaurant is also recommended. We ate 2 out of 3 nights just at the resort and very good for Filipino choices.

No electricity and water on first night and this are the only hotel that doesn't have generator. Still, clean and good hotel. The only problem is the electricity and water for the first night we stayed there.
