We stayed at the New Steine Hotel on a previous visit so booked again. Location is great as everything is just a short distance away from the hotel. On our previous visit we booked a room with 3 single beds & were given a room downstairs which was perfect as I am disabled & the small flight of stairs was manageable. On this visit, we again requested a room with 3 single beds & my friend that booked assumed it was the same room due to the photo showing the picture of that room, but we emailed to make sure but unfortunately our preferred room was being refurbished & wasn't available. On arrival we were given our room key & it was on the top floor & there was no other rooms available with 3 single beds. So we had to go up 6/7 flights of stairs to get to our room, not ideal when you used a walking stick due to back & legs issues & another of our group having arthritis. We were in agony by the time we got to the top & had to do this for 4 days, sometimes crawling up on all fours. The room itself was ok, but the folding bathroom door didn't fit the door space & wouldn't close properly offering no privacy when using the toilet or shower & the sink had no water when the mixer tap was turned to hot. We enjoy staying at the New Steine Hotel, the staff are nice & the rooms are serviced daily but wouldn't stay again unless we had the room we had before due to our mobility issues, the top floor was just too much & a room sharing a double bed & a single bed wasn't really an alternative option for us again due to our disabilities. Hopefully we will be back next year but will get the room availability confirmed before booking because we like the location of the New Steine.

Nice hotel but it's annoying that they give you complementary gin in your room but you have to extra for tonic . Also there was a additional charge to use pool and spa area which didn't see that on hotel description.

A luxurious boutique hotel, situated in a quiet garden square, overlooking Brighton seafront yet only a few minutes walk away from Brighton Pier, The Lanes and the Brighton Centre and all Brighton has to offer. On arrival we were greeted by a charming young lady, who even assisted us in paying for our parking, which is conveniently on the square, we found a space directly opposite the hotel, so no problems there. Our room was luxurious, elegant and beautifully decorated, and quiet. a coffee machine and tea making facilities were provided and there was a good sized fridge, perfect for chilling your wine or Prosecco. The bed was extremely comfy. Everything you could have wanted in a room was catered for, including a Dyson fan if you were too hot, and a Dyson fan heater in case you were too cold, we needed neither as the room was the perfect temperature. The bathroom offered luxury toiletries, large white fluffy towels, was spotlessly clean and well appointed, with both a free standing bath and excellent rainfall shower (no dodging around to catch the drops of water here). There is a really nice lounge with a bar for a drink or two before you hit the town for the evening. The hotel does not serve lunch or dinner, but this was not a problem with a host of restaurants just a short walk away to choose from. Breakfast offered a wonderful selection on the menu, from the full English and Vegan full English, to eggs Benedict, to croissants and everything in between. If you are looking for a nice relaxing, luxurious overnight stay, or maybe a romantic weekend away, I wholeheartedly recommend a stay here, I am sure you wouldn’t regret it.
