Prior to booking I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews being 50/50 with some mentioning of being too hot, noise levels and stolen items just to name a few. However, after I arrived I had nothing but positive things to say about this hostel. It was my first time staying in one as a solo traveller who travels singular often! I had all round a fantastic stay. I stayed in a room with 3/4 other females who were respectful of one another and would move around quietly. The window was left open throughout the night so it was an enjoyable nights sleep, however I can imagine it would have been toasty had the window been closed- it was a great circulation throughout. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with soap and tissue. You can rent a towel from reception, before leaving I read reviews that stated this so took along my own but for a small fee you can be provided one on arrival. There are lockers on level 1 that you can leave valuables and bags inside if you happen to arrive earlier than 15h check in time or throughout your stay. I felt safe to leave my bag on my bed when leaving the hotel for the evening to meet friends and just put a padlock on for my own reassurance! Everything was untouched. The staff at reception are pleasant and welcoming with a friendly smile and the bar does great drink offers (£6 for a double!) I would happily stay here again and I’m delighted to have had a first time great stay in a hostel. YHA thanks for making my stay in Brighton enjoyable!!

Loved the hotel room - very spacious, right next to the pier and very clean. The indoor pool was under maintenance but most amenities were great. The hotel also has a nice restaurant overlooking the ocean.

Says it has parking, but only has very limited parking available. They are definitely misleading you, because I wouldn’t have booked this hotel if it didn’t have a parking spot. Oh and when they do have parking spots available then they charge you 25£ to use it. I had to park in some sleazy parking lot which charged me 32£ and walk a distance to this hotel. Nothing was spectacular or nice here, was a bit of a dive actually, definitely not worth 200£ for the night!!!

Stayed in room 9. Broken glass left in room. Half the lights didn't work. Shower didn't work. Shower was dirty. TV didn't work. No remote. Window was stuck open and took excessive force to close. Tried to use one of the communal showers, and the lock on the door was broken, and wouldn't lock. Cleaning supplies left in hotel room. Previously stayed in (IIRC) room 8, where again half the lights didn't work, and the double glazed windows were half filled with water. No reception on site. When issues were reported to reception call line and OYO booking service no action was taken. Next day reception told their bosses all problems were resolved when they weren't. OYO booking line demanded I wait longer and longer for the hotel reception to 'have a chance to fix things'. Up to the moment I left nothing was done about any of it by the hotel manager - and nothing was done to the hotel manager for their negligence and incompetence. The people running this hotel are liars. And their supervisors refuse to hold them to account for their appalling conduct. Don't be lulled by the picture. It isn't accurate. See above paragraph. I will not be returning a third time.

La localisation de l’hôtel est très bien et le check in facile. Nous avions une chambre familiale pour 3 adultes et 2 enfants. Le bémol nous étions dans le chambre A au Rez de chaussé. En Angleterre les volets roulants n’hésitent pas et souvent le jour rentre dans les chambres le matin. Aucun problème pour moi j’en était consciente. Le problème pour moi a été le suivant nous avions une chambre en Rez de chaussé avec des persiennes et de jeunes enfants. L’hôtel dispose d’un éclairage sur sa façade qu’il laisse allumé toute le nuit de chaque côté de notre bow window. Celui ci laissant passer la lumière on y voyait comme en plein jour dans notre chambre et les enfants de ce fait avaient du mal à s’endormir avant 23h-23h30…. Lorsque que j’ai demandé à la réception si c’etait possible d’éteindre la lumière extérieure la nuit on m’a répondu que c’était impossible que cette chambre avait été louée des centaines de fois et que j’étais la première à me plaindre. En gros que je ralais pour rien… bref entre ça et les simple vitrages qui laissent passer le son nous savons tous les 5 mal dormi pendant nos 2 nuits sur place. Je vous joint une photo de nos fenêtres de nuit avec des serviettes pour tenter de faire plus de noir

Friendly staff,room ok ,happy that they kept our bags so we could stay for a few more hours,hotel is about 35 mins from train station,good location across from sea life and the pier, plenty of places to eat and drink,would return to hotel.
