Fantastic location. Service was amazing, with shout out to staff - Exec Chef James, F&B Operations Manager, Gareth, Christine from the Signature Restaurant just to name a few who made our stay amazing and went the extra mile. In fact all the staff we met were really helpful, attentive and happy. Recommend the upstairs pool, the terrace bar for cocktails. Book it, a perfect escape…leave the kids at home.

What a great experience at The Point, very warm and welcoming staff to greet us first time, and then always wanting to help. Dining at the Lambert Resto was also awesome! Wonderful and warm service, thanks Joe and Yvonne for the lovely experience. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to just pop into Brissy for a short business trip to stay here! Good stay at the Westin. Clean, comfortable, modern room and good service at reception. Well located. Just a couple of minor negatives: 1. The pool was extremely busy on the Saturday because the hotel sells tickets to the public for a pool party event (I believe happens every Friday and Saturday). All the loungers and seats were taken and there were no clean towels available - not ok if you're actually staying at the hotel but can't use the pool facility. It was quiet and pleasant on other days, however there is no service around the pool that we saw so I'm not sure whether you can order food/drink poolside. 2. The buffet breakfast was generally very good in terms of selection, food quality and ambience however we stayed over the Easter long weekend and the service was noticeably lacking - many of the food items had run out and we had to wait multiple times and for long periods for them to be replenished. Also we were not offered tea/coffee or told there was a choice of eggs to order until our last day (ie. after the long weekend) so were left with the dregs of cold scrambled eggs and self service hot drinks. Other than that, we were happy with our stay and would go back if ever in Brisbane again.

The room has a modern feel, and the bed is comfortable. However, there was toothpaste residue left in the cup in the bathroom. The shower head was leaking, and the door couldn't close properly. After the shower the water is leaking out to the toilet area. Nice gym areas, however, 8 equipments only 2 have power supply. Staffs are friendly.

An older Sofitel compared to some others I stay at as a an Accor Platinum member but my experiences have all been quite postive when I stay here. Staff as usual were very friendly and helpful which is what brings me back to Accot hotels, and the fact my room is almost always ready early. Quite a large hotel with a few different options for food and drinks. The breakfast is quite good, alot of options and plenty of room to sit and relax. The gym is on the smallish side but nice pool and amenities. My King room was quite dated badly in need of a renovation but its quite big and the bed was comfortable. Parking can be a bit difficult at times. The location is very convenient if you are coming by train and its only 5 minutes walk into the CBD. Overall a good hotel and experience.

We stayed here for 8 days as a family of 4. 2 adults and 2 children. BE AWARE..... These are not 2 bedroom apartments. There are no pictures on the website and when you book, there was no mention of what the actuall room setup is. We found out our 2 bedroom apartment is actually 2 individual rooms that they turn into a apartment by a connecting hallway. 1 room was a 1 bedroom apartment, with 1 small 2 seater couch, small living area, table and chairs, bathroom and only just a kitchen. The other room is a room with large bed, kitchen area in same room and bathroom. We had to keep both doors open all the times to make like an apartment. Both these doors open to a cold tiled long hallway.This meant the door was in the way of one of the kitchens the whole trip. We did not feel comfortable with the children sleeping in one room by themselves as the rooms werent close to each other. For family of 4 spending a fair bit of time in the apartment in the evening, the small 2 seater couch and small lounge area was not sufficient for us to be together in the one area. Rooms were serviced daily. Both rooms had kitchens, but were lacking enough utensils etc for a family of 4, as these are obviously not used for a family. So be careful when booking this location if you are looking for an apartment for a family. I now know why there is no photos and no mention of what the actual setup is when you book. The description on the website for the 2 bedroom apartment is not what it is. If i had of known what we were actually booking, we would not have stayed at this location. On checking in, i was told that i had a great deal. I now see why it is expensive as you are pretty much booking out 2 different rooms to get 1 2 bed apartment. Who needs 2 average kitchens??? Location is pretty good. just a short walk to southbank.

Stayed here for 7 nights at the beginning of April. Check in was quick and although we requested a quiet room, we were sadly given a room that faced onto a road and the helipad of the children’s hospital. So, the room was rather noisy from the traffic and from helicopter landing and taking off at night. Even with ear plugs on I could still hear the traffic. Room: Room 714 was very clean, it seems the Australian standards of cleanliness is much higher and better than at our previous Marriott stays in Cardiff, Wales and in Edinburgh, Scotland. Housekeeping at this hotel is very thorough at cleaning, as we didn’t feel any dust on the surfaces. My partner is blind and the first thing he does is touch the surfaces to get to know the layout of the room and he was impressed that tables, chairs & walls didn’t feel dusty. The housekeeping ladies always provided us with fresh towels and 2 bottles of water daily, as well as change the bed linen when requested. These ladies (day as well as evening housekeeping) are all lovely and friendly, requests for extra toilet paper, tissues, even slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste were promptly supplied with a smile. The housekeeping team at this hotel should be commended for keeping rooms/bathroom clean to a high standard. Reception: The ladies at reception Jess and other lady (who doesn’t wear a name badge) are efficient when checking people in however, they were not so friendly once you’ve checked in, they both came across as cold, sourpusses. Every day we went past reception and these 2 ladies never smiled or said hello. Once we initiated a hello and got a forced response. The male reception staff at night and on the days when the ladies were off are much better as they always greeted people as they walked past reception. Location: This hotel is perfectly located as it is close to all the restaurants in the Southbank and there’s lots to choose from. It is also about 2 mins walk to Goodwill bridge which connects to the Botanical Gardens. From this hotel everything is within walking distance, we walked to Queen Street shopping mall daily and it took us about 10 mins via Southbank parklands and crossing the bridge. We are not super fast walkers but we found everything in close proximity to this hotel. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we return to Australia next year.

Stayed here to access the city and had a long walk along the river and up a very steep climb to the top to get to the Hotel lugging my bags and cameras walking from the station. Room was a short space bigger than a double bed with a very tiny bathroom and shower. I liked the jug and tea and coffee but missed having a window. The room was clean and the bed comfortable and it was adequate for an overnight stopover. There is a bus stop almost opposite and the views from the cliffs across the road are amazing

Stayed here for a couple of months for work nearby. Had a great reception from staff. very friendly, helpful and inviting. Which remained throughout my visit, nothing was too much trouble, always helpful. Room was perfect, city skyline view at night from the balcony was great. Room facilities gave me all I needed for cooking and storage. Cleanliness was outstanding across whole property. Car parking secure. I love early morning walks and this was an easy stretch to the river for exercise. I think they even ordered perfect weather for me. Great hotel, well done 😊

I booked 3 rooms for myself & family, one of the rooms was meant to be a family room but felt that one of the couple rooms was clearly more superior. We paid extra for the family room & had to ask for a towel, blankets & even teabags. Balcony only had 2 chairs for the family room. I booked the room together & for some reason we were all on random floors, it was a bit of a nightmare. The room was not clean, cigarettes left on the balcony, ash all over the balcony floor, child handprints all over the glass door, no soap in the dispenser. The rooms aren't very sound proof, could hear construction late at night. On the plus side, the main room was spacious, dark & had a great aircon. Good location around the corner from Queen Street mall for shopping, food & BWS down the road. Nice modern bathrooms with washing machine.

We unfortunately didn’t stay, as Covid lockdowns and restrictions hit again! Was coming for the cricket and as unsure if we would be allowed in or out of the state phoned the property and spoke with Nicole who was so very helpful. Nicole gave us up to nearly day of arrival to cancel free of charge....and unfortunately we have just done so...we will definitely stay next time because of her helpful attitude..... The tip here is though, always book directly with the property, so they don’t lose commission to overseas companies...and you get flexibility to cancel or change if necessary
