I stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in Bristol, and it was a pleasant experience overall. One of the best aspects was the location—just an 8-minute walk from Temple Meads train station. The weather was sunny, making the walk really enjoyable, though there are a few stairs along the way to keep in mind. We arrived earlier than expected at 10:30 AM and were pleasantly surprised to find that our room was already ready. That was a great start to our stay! Our room on the 7th floor was spacious and spotlessly clean, except for some permanent stains in the shower—not dirt, but not particularly nice to look at. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I honestly had one of the best nights of sleep I’ve had in a while. It was also a lovely room for families with a child, as our kid finally got a real comfy bed rather than a wobbly open sofa bed. The lobby was a nice spot to relax after a day of walking around the city. They offer water for guests and even have some board games, which was a fun touch. Breakfast was decent, though not particularly memorable. My main issue was the lack of non-dairy options for making a cappuccino. While they offer non-dairy milks, it wasn’t possible to make a cappuccino with them unless you paid extra for a barista-made one. I found this disappointing, especially since more and more people are opting for dairy-free alternatives. It’s an area that could definitely be improved. It's not worth booking direct with the hotel as they don't bother to be competitive. Overall, it was a comfortable stay in a well-located hotel, with just a few minor areas for improvement.

Excellent stay at boutique hotel. All staff superb and helpful especially Howard Jones, Reception Manager. Went out of his way to assist us. Also had a good sense of humour! Bedroom great. Bathroom spotless. Breakfast included in our rate was ideal. Highly recommend.

Clean and tidy room services. After Bristol Air Ballon Festive , My family was happy living here with tasty breakfast and good location to reach out high street and town centre in ease. Recommended to visit again .

Totally smoothe stay, room was clean, comfy bed, quiet at night (room overlooking the small carparking area at rear) just simple and convenient. Would have preferred a bigger mug for my tea in the morning, but otherwise I wouldn't change anything else!

You feel you're in a French courtyard, yet you're right in the food district with a brilliant street food arcade (Victorian ironwork) just opposite. The location is great for both city and station. Despite the location, it is not noisy at night. And - wowza - it's on a direct bus route to Eastfield park run to get you going on Saturday morning. Bedroom super comfortable and breakfast classy - best sausages I had in a week's walking holiday.

Centrally located. Beautiful old building, with rather strange modern/industrial trusts in rooms. Regular double room was rather tight on space. Bathroom large and great shower. Bit chilly in the evening, an electric heater was provided but did not work. I discovered later that none of the (10!!) plug sockets in the room worked.

Excellent hotel - very clean and the room was very spacious. Only a few mins walk from the train station. Only this is i would have liked a mini fridge in the room for real milk for my tea and for cold drinks. However, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the lovely warm chip cookie on arrival was a nice touch. I’d definitely recommend this hotel if you want to stay in the centre of Bristol.

I had a tiny individual room on the 5th floor which was adequate although rather stuffy. I know there are H&S regs that restrict the opening of upstairs windows, but do they really apply to a ceiling hatch which you cannot possibly fall out of ?! Unlike other reviewers I was not troubled by noise. One of the 4 showers was not working and the two ”hooks” were too shallow to hang stuff on without them being in danger of slipping off. The toilet at the end of the corridor had peeling paint and lino coming away from the wall and you had to stoop to use the WC and sink. The social spaces were much better and I enjoyed by breakfasts in the ground floor bar, though £5 for a bacon bap with 2 slices of bacon is excessive. The coffee was good. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The price for Saturday night was steep, Sunday reasonable, but overall fair value for a weekend in the centre of Bristol. The waterfront location is excellent, wirh the train station and Clifton both withing walking distance.

Incredible staff. That’s the first thing to stay, they really make the difference. The hotel itself is very on trend, you get a free cocktail on arrival, and the breakfast which isn’t expensive, is good. The room is very comfy and well appointed, the bed was comfortable and the shower room, although small, was more than adequate. It’s all about the staff though, incredible service.
