We have enjoyed our stay in this hotel with short walking distance to the Centrum.
We have tried the breakfast which was good as Service staff offered freshly cooked omelette.
The only set back is the route to the hotel which we found a lift outside the train station to the level of the carpark leading to the hotel is very Dirty n Smelly. Upon Check-out we used the Hotel Back Road which leads to the Train Station instead of using the Dirty/Smelly Lift.

Second stay at the hotel.
The room wasn't quite as big as previous stays, but it was clean and had everything we needed.
The hotel itself is beautiful, great service and the breakfast is one of the best I have ever had at a hotel.
Of course it's not a cheap stay, but for a 5* it's very well priced and I will definitely be returning again.
The only thing I would comment, which is a very particular observation by me, is that tge complimentary toiletries are not branded. It would be nice to have L'occitane, Molton Brown or Elemis especially in a 5*.But as I say, a very lovely hotel and it won't be my last stay

The staff was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I like the location of the hotel. Close to train station and good restaurants. I did not like the newly renovated rooms. The lack of furniture and poor lighting was disappointing. The furniture that was in the room was from IKEA or similar. No chair, desk or bureau. I rated the hotel very good because of the staff.

This was a last minute booking for me after my train to Germany was cancelled. I was in Brussels and decided to hop on a train to Brugges and made the booking on my phone on the way. I walked from the train station, about 15 minute walk, and was greeted by a wonderful woman at reception who spoke many languages including English. It was around 12:30 and I asked if I could drop off my backpack so I could look around Brugges until the 3pm check in. She checked for an available room and I got an early check in - wonderful! I had a ground floor garden room and I loved it. So luxurious. Bathrobes, kettle with tea and instant coffee, a safe, full bathroom, desk, and a large comfortable bed. Outside the room is a small wrought iron table and chairs with a view of the garden. Very peaceful. This is the type of hotel I'm meant to stay in! Hotel is a couple of minutes walk to the main pedestrian areas that have lots of chocolate shops and cafes. Keep walking and there will be more shops and cafes. Great location, wonderful staff. I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 nights here and would definitely stay here again if my travels bring me back to Brugges.

This hotel is in a great location right behind the belfry tower so it’s close to everything.
I arrived at the hotel very early so I left my bags and went out exploring. I came back just after 3pm and they said room is still not ready, but one staff intervened and I was then upgraded to a slightly larger room that was ready.
That same staff member at reception was extremely helpful with directing me to Wasbar in the market square where you can wash and dry your clothes for very cheap compared to the hotel service which is so expensive. This was after I told her the hotel service was too expensive she offered alternatives and I am grateful for that.

nice location with a bus stop nearby to the train station. there are many waffle shops and souvenir shops nearby.
the hotel was renovated from an old building i guess as there is no air conditioner. only a fan was provided.
but the scenery outside the windows is great. can view the river from there. the bathroom was bright and clean.
however, there was a big step from the door to the door. don’t quite understand why such room was provided to us (we were having two big luggages and two hand carry luggages). other rooms don’t have such steps as no notice was placed at their doors.

The reception was just great fast, helpfull. Because I left first day very early they prepared a breakfast pack for le who was ready at 05.00 AM. Bed and room a dream, bathroom all products high quality. Breakfast you would love to have everyday. Checkout fast easy and very gentle.
Perfect hotel to stay in Bruges. For tourist info is 50 meter from market place.

On arrival we were greted by a lovely chap he explained hotel policies and explained where our room was . We entered our room and was so disappointed it was dated and the bathroom had hair it and not clean. The lovely chap on reception gave us another room and apologise we went into that room but their was a light loose hanging from the bathroom ceiling. Next room was third time lucky it was clean but basic .breakfast was lovely. But went to order food from bar that was advertised, but was not available as only one member of staff working bar and reception.

PPengguna TetamuObviously, the owner of the property, Jason, has put a lot of thoughts into furnishing it and has taken great pride and care in its upkeeping. The property is located on the quieter side of the old town but is anyway just about a 5 minute walk to Markt. The room is well appointed, spacious and clean. The breakfast prepared personally by Jason is sumptuous and tasty. A fantastic stay!

We had a 4 night stay in a standard room. The room was extremely compact with a small space on 3 sides of the bed, just enough to walk through - although sloping ceilings encroached into this space so you had to lower your head. Wardrobe space was limited, with a 1 metre hanging rail and 3 shelves, space was taken up by the safe and the chiller. There was a small dressing table but we needed the space for our own toiletries, cosmetics and personal items. The décor was recent and pleasant if you like dark colours. The shower room was typically sized and equipped, although room service did not replace used toiletries without specific requests. Breakfast was quite good, we had a glass of champagne included and usually selected eggs with bacon and smoked salmon, accompanied by cold meats, cheeses and pastries. Cakes were available but not to our liking. Only 1 or 2 rooms were occupied in addition to our own during our stay and guests were only staying for 1 or 2 nights. The narrow stairs from the rooms to reception are hazardous because they go around a bend so they are very narrow on the inside and there is a large ornamental pot on the wide side. My wife lost her footing one morning and sustained a bruised ankle. Located next to Minnewater and the Kasteel, it is ideally placed for a quiet break in a picturesque location, although it is a 10 minute walk to the centre. At this time of year (early February) the outside covered bar is freezing despite the sheep skin blankets available. Only the 2 chairs next to the fireplace are 'warm'. Overall a nice place for an overnight stay but not good value for the price. This is almost the most expensive hotel in Bruges costing us €956 for 4 nights (without city tax), plus an additional €80 for parking. We find the Dukes' Palace, or The Grand Hotel Casselbergh, offer much more character, spacious rooms and large choices for breakfast.

PPengguna TetamuThis hotel is absolutely amazing. The price for 1 night is affordable. My partner booked last minute and we didn’t expect what we see online is what we get in person. The room is lovely and warm, bed is so comfortable, pillows are the softest ever we had amongst the hotel we have been for holidays. The room space are enough for couples and couldn’t ask for more. The ambiance upon the reception up to the lounge are absolutely amazing and beautiful. The lovely receptionist was so friendly as well. We highly recommend this hotel to everybody who are looking for affordable and budget friendly accommodation.

PPengguna TetamuJust back from a weekend in Bruges and I can't recommend the Hotel Bryghia highly enough. It's in a great location - just far enough out of the centre to be blissfully quiet and but less than 10 mins walk from the Market Square and Belfry. Right next to a beautiful canal and bridge. It was the perfect balance of an old building but with modern facilities. The bed was so comfortable, we had the best night's sleep. We were welcomed by the very warm, friendly owner, and by some Belgian chocolates in our room! The map and local knowledge he shared were priceless. We are already planning to visit again in the Summer and will definitely book the Bryghia.

We travel on city breaks quite a lot and I’d say this hotel is good/average. It’s in a good location, it’s quiet and clean and comfortable. It’s a little bit dated though and could do with a lick of paint and some new carpets. Breakfast was €19 and has everything other city hotels provide. We were going to eat out for breakfast but it worked out a similar price outside and the hotel meant you could get a few cups of coffee and as much food as you needed. Brugge is quite expensive compared to other cities and you cannot get tap water alongside your meal and alcohol anywhere. They want you to buy bottled water only. Strange concept being from the uk where we are served free jugs without asking. Top tip, visit the Halve Mann brewery for a lovely lunch then tour of the brewery. The Jaans hospital is beautiful. Bruges is such a beautiful place.

PPengguna TetamuOne of the worst lodging experiences out of the hundreds of trips I’ve taken. The story begins with me mistakenly booking for august 11-13, 2023 instead of the intended dates of august 12-14, 2023. So, I made an additional reservation for august 13-14, 2023, to stay as planned. Both reservations were fully prepaid on agoda.com (€199 for the first 2 days and €108 for the third day). Upon checking in on august 12, 2023, I was informed that the 'paid-for' room was already occupied by someone else, and I was not allowed to use it. Their reason was that I didn't check in on august 11, 2023. The hotel voluntarily cancelled my reservation and ”gave the room away” to someone else on august 12-13, 2023, WITHOUT ANY CONSENT from me or ANY PRIOR NOTICE. It's a ridiculous joke. I am renting a room, not participating in horse racing or any kind of ******** like that. I'm i don't need to arrive earlier than others to use the room I’ve paid for, right? Even the front desk staff mentioned there was nothing they could do at the time and offered no assistance or resolution for the situation. I struggled to find a hotel on the same day and had to pay a substantial fee for last-minute accommodation in Bruges, while the room I paid for is being rented by the hotel to someone else. As for the second reservation on august 13, 2023, the hotel's conditions were just as terrible as their treatment of customers. There was no nightstand as pictured, not even a single clothes hanger, the room was too hot to close the door in august (no air conditioning or fan), and the noise was unbearable with constant disturbances from the adjacent room's door and footsteps in the corridor. A 'wonderful' experience for a night's stay here, priced at €307. Congratulations, you're certainly running a splendid business. P/s: Bruges is a beautiful city but this hostel is a SHAME.

PPengguna TetamuThe Hotel Montovani is a reasonably priced hotel that offers you all that you would expect or need. Its biggest asset, of course, is its location. It is located a block off the main avenue, Hoefijzerlaan and is just mere blocks away from the Historic City Center. The hotel has a lounge area and a glass covered veranda that opens out to a lovely small garden. This was the ideal location in which to enjoy the delicious breakfast or, perhaps to relax in the afternoon with a hot beverage. These were included in the room rate. The rooms were comfy and clean, the bed and pillows, comfortable, enabling you to wake up refreshed and ready to start your day of exploration. The service was friendly and efficient. There was free wifi. There was no onsite parking, but free parking was available on the nearby avenue, just minutes away. Bruges is the capital and largest city of West Flanders. It was inducted into UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2000. We were visiting Bruges with the intent of adding this World Heritage Site to our list, in this case, there would be three. Bruges's Historic City Centre is distinguished by its canals, cobbled streets, medieval buildings. In fact, along with cities such as Amsterdam, it is often referred to as the ”Venice of the North'. The Belfry of Bruges is part of the World Heritage Site of Belfries of Belgium and France list, which includes 56 Belfries in total. The tower, which dates from the 13th century, has 366 steps which lead to the top of the 272 feet high building. This is a must ”to do” climb! The third site is the Ten Wijngaerde Beguinage, a beguinage built in the 13th century and included in the World Heritage Site of ”Flemish Beguinages”. A Beguinage was an architectural complex which was built to house beguines, lay religious women who lived in the community without taking vows or retiring from the world. As we were only here for two nights, I do not have a lot of recommendations on where to eat dinner. The one dinner that we did eat here, was at the Cafe Sportsman, situated on the Markt. The meal was good and the service was good, but what was most extraordinary, was the location. There are many restaurants situated around this square, so your choice is quite overwhelming. The buildings are extraordinaire, the Belfry was located across from us, and in the evening, the light is very distracting. A visit to Bruges is worthwhile and actually deserves more than two nights, but there was still much ahead in our journey. So whether you stay longer or shorter, the Montovani comes with a high recommendation!
