We had an amazing time at UP hotel Budapest. Staff are polite and professional, our room and the hotel were clean, breakfast were good selections of foods and drinks and dinner at the restaurant were excellent. They don’t have kid’s menu so they provided pasta based on my child’s request. My child really enjoyed eating them.I definitely recommend UP hotel Budapest and would like to go back one day.

In particular, the Staff at Reception and the Waiter at breakfast/ lunch Attila Takacs were very helpful - having checked out as required at 1200hrs, they ensured that we were accommodated for lunch by letting us participate in the superb buffet being organised specifically for Conference delegates. Normally the Hotel has no restaurant for lunch or dinner - the previous evening the Reception Staff recommended the nearby Europa Restaurant which was outstanding (with many authentic Hungarian dishes).

Wonderful. Stupendous. Elegant. Picturesque. There are not enough superlatives in the English language to completely encompass the experience we had at the newly opened Kimpton BEM. From the personal greeting at the door, to the beautifully appointed corner suite, to the delicious dinner and breakfast - it was a class act throughout our stay. Kudos Kimpton - you’ve done it again. Shout out to Matt, the very welcoming and knowledgeable room manager who ensured that our every need was met.

Stayed 5 nights for a conference with 3 other colleagues. Quaint hotel that looks its age. Had very friendly and helpful staff handling check in/out. Had taken a suite, but it was rather small. Main door opened into an anteroom with 2 internal doors - 1 of which led into bedroom (just enough space for a double bed with 2 small side tables). The other door led into a small living room (space for dressing table, couch, TV, and a small round table with a chair). Bathroom is a little dim. Breakfast buffet had standard ham and cheese cuts, scrambled eggs, breads, cereals, fruits - repeated daily. Noticed the staff change the cutlery after each dinner, but the placemats on the table is not changed. Location is excellent with nearby train and bus station leading to all major attractions. Also have supermarkets nearby.

Apartment central. Room was nice. Reception staff not the most friendliest. The beds in the apartment are 2 single beds on wheels not ideal for married couples who are having a weekend away and wanna cuddle up at night. Glasses provided and there was another guests crisps in cupboard. These should be binned as open and unhygienic eating crisps someone has had their hands in. Rooms cleaned daily. A few times maids came in when we were in our single beds. Took towel and never replaced them, had to get out shower to go down and get new towels. It is quite noisy as apartment is on main road. There is blinds on the windows. There is brown curtains but they don’t fit the window so the sun shines in and wakes you up. No chance of a long lie. Beware of street taxis - they will try rip you off when you have been drinking alcohol. I’d download bolt - just like Uber. Kebab shop a few doors down - lovely food Spar straight across the road. Close to some fab bars. Unsure if we would stay here again.

This hotel was the perfect location for a one night stay when I had to catch a ride the next morning from the train station. It was basic but had everything I needed. The only downfall was that I was absolutely exhausted- had been traveling from across the world and been awake for over 24 hours but I had trouble sleeping because I could hear EVERYTHING happening in the hallway and in my neighbors rooms. Paper thin walls. I was on the ground floor. But breakfast was very filling. (Photo showing how super close it is to the train station. One of the most budget friendly accommodation in the city! It is in a very strategic location where it is just few meters away from bus stop and metro train station. It is also just few bus stops away from famous tourist destinations. It is near grocery store and vodafone where you can buy a sim card (tip for tourists). Rooms are clean and well maintained. They have self service washing and drying machines, common kitchen and bathrooms, common lounge area, vending machines and many more. This place is wheelchair friendly as well for those who need them. Service wise was great as well. I would commend Thomas from reception for being helpful especially when we arrived from airport at 2AM. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. It is truly a great value for money.

This hotel suited us. Right from the start we received good welcome from reception and throughout the stay they were cheerful, always acknowledged us when we came in and out and were happy to call us taxis. The place was very clean. Breakfast met all our needs: selection of cheeses/salami/ham, musli, fresh fruit cocktail, bowls of fruit, pastries, yogurt, avocado, breads, bacon, sausages, scrambled egg, beans, salad, peppers, coffee/hot chocolate machine was good, fruit juices etc. I really wanted to use the hot tub/sauna but we ran out of time so can’t comment on that. Our apartment itself (703) was very good. We had 2 floors with 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom had a good tv, nice decor, beds and pillows I found super comfy, had a better night sleep than I do at home. Only negative for me was that the bedroom we had never had a wardrobe, the one next door had a good wardrobe and there was also one downstairs if we were really bothered and wished to hang up and run up and down the stairs, but we never had much clothes for the weekend so were happy to stack jumpers under bedside table and I lay my trousers over the top of my case so wasn’t a huge issue for me. Shower was great! Bathroom modern and clean. Had a hairdryer, shower cap and shower gel and body lotion. Lounge area had a sofa, dining table and kitchen area with fridge, microwave, kettle, hob and pans/utensils. They provided a tea towel and dish liquid, few sachets of coffee and tea bags but no sugar or milk cartons. The system they used was if you wanted the bedroom cleaning the next day you had to put a sign on door the evening before (before midnight). If you wanted towels changing then had to let reception know. Big plus for us was that the hotel was very quiet, no outside noise to disturb our sleep and that we had 2 bedrooms so our daughter had her own room and a proper bed. This was in preference to 1 hotel room with a sofa bed which I didn’t want. I thought the cost was good. Only other comment is that the hotel is a little out of the centre which we knew when we booked, but chose the hotel based on cost, having the 2 bedrooms and a lounge rather than all in a hotel room, good reviews and the fact that it was quiet as wasn’t in the city centre. There was option to use the nearby public transport but we were happy to walk, or called a taxi when we needed to. Overall I was really happy with the stay.

The hotel is very beautiful and modern and the staff very welcoming. not knowing the city, they do not hesitate to advise me on places to visit and explain to me how to get around with public transport. The room was very comfortable and modern corresponding to all my expectations. The only small negative point that I could cite is the restricted opening hours of the restaurant and the bar. Taking into account the neighborhood (8th arrondissement), I would have preferred to eat at the hotel than to have to go out or order. In summary, a great stay and can't wait to come back!

Hotel was heel schoon, vriendelijk personeel en een heerlijk ontbijt waar je van alles kon krijgen. Wij waren er gedurende het EK 2024 en elke wedstrijd werd uitgezonden in de lobby. Locatie: qua afstand vd stad was het wel wat verder. Maar bepaalde bezienswaardigheden waren weer heel dicht bij zoals de kettingbrug. Er is een klein supermarktje in de straat em op loop afstand is er fashion street. Enige minpunt dat de deken even groot was als het bed ipv een maatje groter. Als je je dus omdraaide had je een blote rug.
