Island Hostel Budapest

Very accommodating, good place to stay.

Worth the money

I really liked this place. The lady who runs the accommodation is very nice. The beds are comfortable (except for 1) and the kitchen equipment is excellent for cooking a good meal. I can only say a problem that is either not the accommodation's fault or is highly SUBJECTIVE as to why people come to Margit Island. - LOCATION 🤦This is what I'm saying, if you came to Budapest to work, Margitsziget is a particularly bad choice because you have to walk exactly 1.2km to the bus whether you're going to work or coming from work. (only bus number 26 goes to Margaret Island, which is rare and does not go at night) Unfortunately, Margaret Island is a bad choice for work, but it is one of the best choices for recreation because: 👉Nice place 👉Quiet neighborhood 👉Romantic - CURTAIN 🤦 If someone wants privacy, they cannot have it in the absence of curtains (The accommodation is planning to create such a bedroom, but it is very difficult, because the conversion of the room is not allowed, or it is very expensive, since the design of the building does not give the possibility to if there are curtains, the room should also be aesthetically pleasing, which is very important) When I think about it, there is nothing else I can come up with. I love this place.

When you travel, you definitely feel excited and adventurous about new places that you going to visit, but at the same time you can sometime have an anxiety about leaving your place or country, your loved ones and things that make your home home.. You don't really know how’s the new experience going to be. Right? At least this is how i felt when i left home for good, and arrived to Budapest as a first destination on my journey. What i experienced was warm like home environment with beautifully equip kitchen and common space. Dorms were cozy and full of hand painted Mural paintings that brought you back to your childhood full or love and dreams. But not that childishly… Just nice pleasant experience also with pleasant people. Terrace was beautiful but cold this time of year. Still you can get very nice view on Budapest River and shinning city buildings from the distance. The whole hostel is situated on an Island. Really? Wow. ;D Environment nearby is excellent for walk or run if you tend to do some exercise while traveling. There’s soo much more about this hostel that only you through your feeling and seeing can experience. Ah and staff is very kind and funny. Appreciating every good hearted quest…that’s all for now. The location is unbeatable. If you are into city buzz yet would like a peaceful room to recharge this is your place. Situated on Margaret Island surrounded by forests, meadowy footpaths Island Hostel is simply great. Very helpful staff and massive terrace to enjoy!

I had the most amazing stay at Island Hostel Budapest! Everything was perfect – the place was super clean, the location was ideal for exploring the city, and the atmosphere was just fantastic. The owner was incredibly friendly and gave me some really helpful tips for getting around and discovering hidden gems. I honestly can’t wait to come back in the future. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Budapest! ＜3
