Upon checking in, the reception asked if we would prefer: 1) rooms facing the street (thus with river view) but a bit louder because of the traffic OR 2) rooms not facing the street so it will be more quiet We decided to choose the first option and were very glad with our decision because of the breathtaking view. The room was located on the fifth floor and the soundproof was good! It is slightly further from the city centre (tourists area) but the public transport system is amazing and frequent. Free coffee at the lobby and buffet breakfast is also included. Highly recommended because best value for price!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The apartment was spacious and very clean. Wonderful shower! The wifi was not working in our room the whole time. I told the receptionist about it and she said she would send in maintenance. Still never worked. But we were only there to basically sleep at night so I didn’t mention it again. We were also told by the man who checked us in that there was no luggage storage and we would have to pay to store our luggage somewhere else the day we checked out. So that stressed us out the whole time. Only to find out at check out that they DO HAVE LUGGAGE STORAGE!!! But by then I had wasted about an hour online trying to figure out where to store our luggage. So that was buggy. So I guess 4 stars. But close to 5!! Just because the location can’t be beat!!

I stayed here for 3 nights with my 18 and 19 year old daughters. We were happy with our apartment, it had everything you might need for your stay. We were kindly given a 2 bedroom apartment rather than a 1 bedroom which I had initially booked via jet2. The apartment was centrally located so we walked everywhere and there were many places to eat, grab a drink or buy groceries from nearby. The reception staff were nice and helpful and organised a transfer from the airport for us and this cost 34 euros for up to 4 people which was reasonable. We got the airport shuttle bus back (100E) as it was a lot cheaper (about £6 for all 3 of us). I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these apartments, can’t comment on the television as others have as we don’t watch tv when we are overseas.

I rented a 2 bedroom apartment for 3 nights. My email from the main office for arrival, stated for me to go to an address around the corner from the apt to pick up the keys. They were very specific for me to get the key from a lock box outside a travel agency. They gave me the code for the box and I told them what time I would be there. That was fine they said and I could leave my luggage in the room until checkin time. Well, arrived at the lockbox, an hour after the time I had given them, I opened the box and no key. I didn't know what to do, so I called the phone number given on the email (I'm from Canada, so can't wait for that bill) and was told to go into the travel agency (Wish I had been given those instructions before) and get instuctions. When I talked to the girl on the phone and told her the keys were not in the box, she said ”Well they have not been put there yet....WHAT.) The girl gave us instuctions on how to find the apt. and off we went. The keys were suppose to be in the apt when we went up. Guess what.... the door was locked, so more phone calls. Finally someone came to let us in. After going in and looking around, the apt was a solid 3 star. It was adequate. The worst problem were all of the ants in the kitchen area. There was lots of them and each time I would kill them all, their sisters and brothers came to take their place. The kitchen was very sp****. One small little tea towel, no washing cloth for the dishes. If you use paper towels or kleenex, bring some as there are none supplied. It was very quiet, considering the location. I liked that. Very handy to most things. Groceries just down the road. We were in unit B216. One thing about the door is that it's difficult o open. We finally figured out the you have to pull the door in, as you unlock it. I'm not sure if I would stay there agin. I might look for something else.

I checked in on the evening of Monday 30.10.23, and in addition to the £321.48 I paid via *******, I also paid the additional City Tax of £12.90. I was then upsold a room upgrade for €40 on the promise that it was a far superior room that was also in a quiet area of the hotel. I was awoken at 06:30 by the lift (which our room was located next to), specifically the very loud lift music. This was something I was intending to raise with the front desk, but as it turns out, I never got the chance. As I was awake, I attempted to have a shower, but this unfortunately didn’t work. Another issue I was going to raise. At 09:30 I was called from reception to say that the hotel was being evacuated, and to come down no later than 11:00. After packing our belongings we went to reception for 10:30. At this point, we were told to leave the hotel and come back at 11:00. Reception weren’t 100% sure whether we would be allowed to continue our stay or not. I complied and returned, only to be informed that we wouldn’t be able to stay for the rest of our booking. We were told to wait for further news. We had plans for the day, but unfortunately they were postponed and we effectively were losing a day of our holiday. At 13:30 we were told that a taxi was taking us to Estilo Fashion Hotel. Having looked at the hotel, location etc, I explained that I wasn’t happy. We chose ARCadia due to its location, room size, facilities etc. Estilo was far away from our chosen location, and with our 4 year old daughter with us, she would struggle to walk. As a result, we would be left with the expense of public transport. Another issue was the very small rooms, not ideal for three people. Another factor was the lack of a bath, only a shower. My daughter refuses to use a shower, she’s frightened of them. A big selling point of the ARCadia was the large children’s bed and the bath for my daughter. I asked reception whether we could be moved to another hotel instead, but they refused. At this point I requested a refund. My preference was now to be refunded my money and book another hotel of my choosing. Again, reception refused. They said my only option was to contact *******. With our taxi waiting outside, and nowhere else to go, we were transferred to Estilo. Upon entering the room we could see it wasn’t suitable and we contacted ******* via Live Chat to request a refund so that we could book another hotel. The ******* agent told me that ARCadia were responsible for authorising the refund, and that she would need to speak to them - completely contradicting what the reception staff had told me. It turned out that ******* were unable to contact ARCadia after several days so a refund wouldn’t be possible. I have personally attempted to contact ARCadia since the event to request a refund, but have been unable to speak to anyone. I toyed with the idea of booking another hotel and leaving Estilo, but with no guarantees that I would receive my refund, I couldn’t risk potentially paying

We loved this hotel. We stayed here for 4 nights and wish we had booked for longer. The hotel is set back in a square and not immediately visible from the road but no difficulty in finding it. We stayed in room 701. The beds were really comfortable and the room was spacious. No noise from outside or inside the hotel was heard which enabled a great sleep. We had a coffee machine in our room but it had no instructions and we had no idea how to use it but there is a coffee machine at reception available all the time which supplies delicious coffee. The buffet breakfast was more than we could ask for with fabulous scrambled eggs! We had a late flight but the hotel supplies lockers for luggage free of charge so we were able to make the most of our last day. All members of staff were helpful and friendly and our housemaid was lovely. This hotel is in a lovely area for exploring and very central. We would definitely return!

We loved our 5 night stay here, we opted for a 1 bedroom apartment. We were amazed at how big, clean and well equipped the apartment was (there were even a couple of laundry pods to do washing if you wished). The staff at reception were really welcoming and happy to help giving great advice. Location is fantastic as close to all the main sights with the metro, tram and bus stops at the top of the road. Close to some brilliant restaurants like Mozel Tof, Ghetto Goulash and Pork and Prezli (make sure you book) Really handy that the direct airport bus stop is just a 5 minute walk too. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if coming to Budapest.

Good location, reasonable price and clean place. Buffet breakfast is good. Downside is that it’s a bit noisy, walls/doors/windows seem a bit thin. The airport shuttle bus 100E drops only a few minutes walk away from the hostel. (30mins travel) Very useful. There is a socket and reading light next to each bed and I had a change of bedding on my second day. I feel that this is due to there being no bed bookings and you choose your own, so they don't know which bed is still in use. There's a danger you may lose your bed if you don't leave things on it. There was a shared bathroom with a toilet in it and a locker provided in the room too. I brought my own towel as this was not provided. There is shower gel provided in the shower. A really central hostel, though they're is a hub of bars directly opposite, so they're is a lot of noise until very late which means I had disrupted sleep both nights. Plenty of takeaway places close for quick bites to eat and lots of café spots close too. This hostel is also very close to get to the main sights and starts of walking tours also if you'd be doing this too.
