"I have stayed at Danubius chain in Budapest before, Helia which is a spa hotel. This is more of a business location being beside the Puskas Arena and the M2 subway line and the 1 Tram line which gives multiple transit options if not using a hire vehicle or taxi. Breakfast was very decent, service attentive and professional. The room was clean with a few minor issues ie bathtub not draining quickly, furniture showing age (I understand so not an issue) and the facilities very good for my purpose - large gym with all required equipment, smaller pool but still permitted laps and a sauna all of which I used each day. As my last day had me leaving before breakfast, I was provided with a takeaway bag. All much appreciated. Front desk very helpful and kind. I enjoyed my stay very much."

"Hotel on the outskirts of Budapest in a very remote and isolated neighborhood. The hotel is divided into two buildings several blocks apart. One is like a house converted into rooms, so cramped that there's no space and the ceilings are very low and sloping. One has no reception or anyone there, only someone to serve breakfast. We lost our room keys, which you have to take with you because there's no reception or anywhere to leave them, and they charged us €100—outrageous! Not recommended! A rip-off!"

"The view is undeniably stunning (although we had to pay an extra 40 Euros for this room with a view, on top of the regular room rate and taxes). However, the cleanliness was appalling. The carpet was covered in hair. When we returned to the hotel to sleep that night, we discovered the pillows and duvet smelled terrible, like stinky feet. After coming back, I even developed an allergic reaction on my inner thighs, a fungal infection with two ringworm spots! I reported this issue later, but received no response, no refund for the room, and the staff's attitude was very poor!"

The buffet breakfast in morning was excellent and surprised but the food at the hotel on upper floor on the gallery was also really good, we had light bites - salad and drinks. Quite happy to have spent an afternoon relaxing there. Thank you for a wonderful stay will definitely recommend to my friends going to Budapest. And I'd be keen to stay there again. It's a great place close to amenities and bars and vintage shops."

The location is a bit out of the way, but it's very convenient with easy access to the subway and other transport links, making it easy to get anywhere. "Outstanding Gold Standard Hotel. We stayed five nights in the hotel, and from the time we arrived, we enjoyed the most outstanding professional and welcoming hospitality of the hotel staff. To our suprise, most of the staff communicated well in English and were always welcoming, professional, and friendly. The superior studio provided a spectacular view of the Danube River and the majestic Chain Bridge. The view of the city was absolutely magnificent, especially at night time. Everything in the room was of high standard, and having stayed at many hotels around the world, we could say without hesitation that the soundproofing in the room was Gold Standard. For the first time, we were not disturbed by any external noise from the hotel or from traffic noise from outside the hoìtel. This made our stay enjoyable and memorable. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone in the hotel for making our stay in Budapest spectacular!"

"The group split between the two Karin Hotels, both several blocks away from each other and far from the center of Budapest, an area not recommended at night. My room had a large bed with no room to climb in from either side; you had to climb in from your feet. The temperature couldn't be regulated, so the heat was stifling. The breakfast was terrible: coffee, milk, chorizo, bacon, salty cheese, scrambled eggs, apples, and pears; there was no sweet treats. The first night, one of the beds had a broken box spring, which we immediately reported to reception. To our surprise, when we checked out, they told us they'd keep 100 euros of the deposit for a lost key (which they force you to take with you because the second hotel doesn't have a reception where you can leave it). We remind you that there was also a person who had to sleep one night on the mattress on the floor and they told us that they didn't know anything and that the guy had broken it, something uncertain because we all check the condition of the rooms when we enter (we know that hotels try to keep the deposit as low as possible). A disastrous hotel, with terrible management."
