Firstly the resort is absolutely huge. It is made up of the hotel plus private residence properties. I would say overwhelming big! So much so that it loses authenticity because you just feel lost and like your in a community, not on holiday. The plus side to this is there are golf buggy's with drivers readily available to take you wherever you need to go on the resort. We used them for getting from our hotel building to the front gate because it's a bit of a walk. On this, if you want to get a taxi they will collect you from the front gate of the resort unless you want them to come into the resort for an extra 2 EUR. The hotel itself or at least the part we stayed in was immaculate. I cannot fault the rooms, beds were comfy, shower was hot and good pressure etc. Housekeeping providing bottled water daily which is a nice touch although it is left out to get warm which isn't so great. There is a small fridge in the room but this is stocked up with the mini bar items. The reception staff were friendly, really helpful and welcoming. There was always someone available on reception when we phoned down to get a taxi, something we really did appreciate. There is a free speed boat taxi service that runs every hour from the hotel to Old Town Budva for hotel guests and only takes 10 minutes which we weren't aware of before we arrived, this was a pleasant surprise and something we made good use of. A trustworthy taxi is approx 6-8 EUR to old town. If you get in the wrong taxi it can cost you 30 EUR which we experienced on our trip. My advice get the boat if you can or be extra careful when using taxi's! Always get the hotel to call the taxi for you and be vigilant about what car you get into! Sadly everything else we experienced was disappointing and it is not worth the money to stay here. At the point of check in (9th Sep) we were advised that 4 out of the 5 restaurants within the resort were closed because it was considered to be out of season. This is not something that we were made aware of when booking. We booked this hotel because of the choice of restaurants and to find this out on arrival was very disappointing. We were told the seafront restaurant was open but prices are not reasonable, 30 EUR for a burger at lunch time. There was a small restaurant called Infinity that was used to serve breakfast for the guests. This is also a let down. The staff in this restaurant are rude and inattentive and only wait on guests that speak their language. On the first day we were not greeted by anyone when we walked in, we found a table to sit at hoping this was ok and then assumed we could just go up and help our self to the buffet style continental breakfast that was available. No waiting staff came over to us. My husband has a peanut allergy so had to speak to someone to find out what he could or couldn't eat as this was also not made clear.
