Nuestra estancia fué de solo una noche pero estuvimos muy muy a gusto. La atencion a la llegada con las indicaciones del parking para el coche (muy importante). La cena fue un placer desde la ensalada a los postres, asi como el bufet del desayuno. Y la habitacion un lujo para el reposo del viajero.

The NH Collection hotel in Caceres was a great launching pad from which to experience the Holy Week processions. Central to most of the activity, everything was within walking distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Awesome breakfast buffet with fresh fruit and pastries was a good start to the day.

If I could rate this a 3.5 that would be more like it. Firstly, if you follow GPS you are bound to get lost. We used car GPS first then phone GPS and both took us in the wrong direction. We booked our room through Thank You points so did not get a confirmation from hotel, which may have had better driving directions for arrival. Thanks to one kind soul at reception he told us to get to Plaza de Santa Clara on the far east side of old city and call. We did and he came and got us and we followed his van in. We got the last of 8 parking spots at 3:30 pm on a Sunday. The room was lovely and spacious. The hydro tub was enjoyed as we were soaked to the bone in rains that night. Hotel did not have available umbrellas and when I asked for one I received a very unpleasant smack of one (only one) umbrella for the 2 of us on the desk with a gruff request for room number. We then tried to find an open tapa bar but being Sunday at 5 most were closed. We had not eaten since 9 am. We tried the “bar” and they only offered chips. The hotel website offers room service but that I found out was unavailable at 8 pm when the restaurant opened. So, I did a first, I ordered McDonald’s Uber Eats and one hour later we had food delivered to the hotel entrance. As others have said, the public spaces are not super warm and inviting. I can see how wonderful the courtyard is during peak seasons. We had a few cleanliness issues as seen in photos also. All in all I think the city is charming but not a whole lot to do. I would suggest getting a taxi in if you stay the night. I’m rating hotel low based on attitude of most of the staff except for the kind man than escorted us in for which we did not get a name. Breakfast was just OK too.

Lo positivo: - Esta limpio - Esta céntrico - El personal de recepción es muy amable Lo negativo: - No se puede aparcar y tengo que pagar 9,50 al día - El baño es muy pequeño con una dicha de 60x60 y cortina de plástico que se te paga al bañar te - Dentro no hay cobertura y para llamar tengo que salir del hotel. El wifi es inseguro y el Iphone no me permite la conexión estoy desaparecido cuando entro y incontestable - Todo es muy viejo y la habitación es muy pequeña - El muy insonorizado se escucha las gentes de la calle, los borrachos, los gritos y incluso cuando pasan gentes del pasillo tienes la impresión que están dentro de tu habitación.

We last stayed here four years ago and liked it a lot. This time we really loved it! We came back on the strength of the hotel being so close to all the historic sights and because of the fabulous apple cake at the breakfast buffet. Both were still as good! We had a room facing the street on the 2nd floor and, thanks to two sets of double glazed windows, it was nice and quiet. Modern and with everything we needed: a safe, fridge, nice toiletries, comfy beds. All the staff were so friendly, especially the young man on reception from Zafra. Highly recommended. Las habitacion no estaba mal, pero la limpieza de la misma dejaba mucho que desear, el wc lo encontramos completamente meado al igual que un bar de mala muerte. Tras avisar a recepción nos dicen que van a mandar a una limpiadora mientras nosotros comemos, tras volver de comer habían limpiado un poco, solamente la tapa, pero seguía estando chorreado hasta abajo. Nuevo aviso a recepción y vuelve a pasar limpiadora que nos pide disculpas y nos dice que no es normal, limpiandolo un poco más a fondo pero nada del otro mundo, balleta en mano y a refregarla por todos lados. Hicimos uso del spa, que la verdad está un poco justo. La ubicación es buena, a pocos metros del centro.

Dinner delicious and breakfast amazing! Departed this morning feeling our holiday had begun!! Will see you again Barcelo!!

Our 2nd visit to this hotel....the location is on the outskirts of Caceres but good access to the main roads and for touring the National Park close by! The twin room was spacious and with ensuite facilities, clean and comfortable! Parking can be underground with an extra charge or outside parking for free - some steps to negotiate! Staff were friendly and helpful with getting luggage to the room. The biggest major change was the new swimming pool and pool side restaurant!!! What a surprise! This gives choices to where you can eat without leaving the hotel. The hotel has a Spa but we did not visit this time! We chose to eat both nights at the new poolside restaurant as we could take our dog...the choices were interesting and the waiters, who spoke no English at all, were helpful and very jolly! One night there was a pianist!!! The tables overlook the pool and was lovely all lit up at night! Again we had lovely warm weather. All very enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent and again had outside seating....the waitress was very helpful, cheerful and friendly! We would stay again !!

El hotel está situado a unos 15 min del centro histórico, las habitaciones matrimoniales son grandes y están bien equipadas, lo único que se hecha en falta algo más de insonorización ya que se escucha más el ruido de las habitaciones y de las chicas de limpieza que del exterior. El desayuno está muy bueno y variado además de las camareras y camareros ser muy serviciales y atentos. El parking tiene plazas dentro de la media en tamaño pero el precio me parece excesivo considerando que hay un parking público a 2 min que cuesta bastante menos.
