We stayed here for one night on route through France. On first glance the hotel is contemporary and thoughtfully decorated. The staff speak good English and were welcoming. We were on the second floor and our room had limited head space due to the eves. The bathroom is open plan with a separate toilet that was so high our toes only just reached the floor! The bed was very comfortable and the aircon welcome on a summers night. However our shower was either scolding hot or freezing cold - no happy medium, making it unusable. We reported it to reception but weren’t offered an alternative room and the promised visit from maintenance didn’t materialise. There was no reduction in our bill to reflect this. Breakfast was €18 per person and a typical (but fairly limited) continental set up. There was a self service egg boiler but no option for omelettes or poached eggs offered. In hindsight a croissant and coffee at a local Boulanger would have been a much better and cheaper option. Caen is a lovely town and we’d like to come back for longer, but we won’t return to this hotel.

The location is good for exploring the town - that’s the best thing about this hotel. Very basic room. We stayed for two night and had booked a room for three. There was no where enough room for three suicases so it was really cramped. The beds were comfortable. There was a kettle and cups for coffee and green tea (only green tea!!). The bathroom was clean but with no fan, the moist stayed on the mirror for a very long time. No aircondition, so we had to sleep with an open window - and it was really noisy outside. We were woken up by people shouting several times at the middle of the night, and the sweeper cars cleaning the streets made a lot of noise at about 5:30… We booked through hotels.com where the information told us there was parking near by at an reduced price when staying at the hotel. This was not true. It was public parking on the streets where you had to buy a new ticket every two hours from 09:30 to 19:00. Not at all practical and turned out to be rather expensive compare to other places. The elevator was tiny. Just room for one person and a suitcase - and the stops were between floors, so you had to carry your luggage one staircase up or down anyhow.

出張で4泊滞在しました。 カーン城周辺にはホテルがたくさんありますが、観光地への距離と料金から最もコストパフォーマンスが良いと判断してここに決めました。 施設は少々古いですが、清潔感があります。毎日の清掃も十分でした。 +7ユーロ/日で朝食が付けられました(写真参照)。これは可もなく不可も無くといった感じでした。 滞在中に朝食もいろいろなものを食べたいという人はホテル外で食べても良いと思います。 スタッフの方は英語で対応してくれました。朝食中に日本のマンガ・アニメについて語り合いました！ スタッフの対応はとても丁寧で快適に過ごせました。 またカーンに行く際には利用したいと思えるホテルでした！

The room had a comfortable bed and was carpeted. The only drawback was that the windows don’t open at all and the air conditioning was noisy. The breakfast buffet was excellent and above average for ibis styles. The hotel is very conveniently located for the station if you use the back entrance to the station. There wasn’t a great choice of restaurant s in the immediate area on a Sunday afternoon although there was a cafe with delicious hot chocolates and cakes etc nearby. It is not too far from the town centre for a greater choice of eateries. The receptionist was very helpful

Buon hotel, personale gentile. Si trova in zona abbastanza centrale. La mia stanza era una singola, alquanto piccola, ma pulita. Tuttavia aveva la particolarità di avere la doccia del bagno nella stanza da letto e quindi chi usava il water non aveva grande privacy. Non so se è una caratteristica solo delle singole, perché io viaggiavo solo quindi non ho avuto esigenze di privacy La colazione era buona, tutto nella buona media.

The Hotel has three stars outside but I assume this relates to the sister Mercure hotel that is next door but part of the same building. The room we had was meant to be a twin but in all honesty it was more like a single room. Storage is very limited and the bathroom was very tired and dated looking. The Hotel bar shuts early and may not open at all so you may struggle for a nightcap if one takes your fancy. The good points of the hotel are the underground parking that they have (make sure you book it) and the breakfast was great, the lady who looks after the breakfasts is really helpful. Location wise the Hotel is a good central location and most places are a walk. Comparing it to the premier inn we stayed at in the UK en-route, the premier inn was miles better and 40 pounds cheaper per night.

Nous avons séjourné dans cet hôtel afin de visiter les côtes normandes. Hôtel bien situé, calme : nous avions une chambre côté cour. Les chambres sont très petites, impossibilité de laisser les fenêtres ouvertes car elles ne sont pas oscillo-battantes. Finalement, heureusement que le temps était maussade, nous n’avons pas souffert de la chaleur ! Salle de bain également très petite : la lunette fermée des WC sert d’appui pour mettre la trousse de toilette… Petit déjeuner basic : il est tjs dommage de ne pas trouver de produits régionaux. Le pain est industriel, tout comme les viennoiseries.

Lovely hotel. Brilliant location. Fantastic staff. Good food. This hotel is on the waterfront and in a delightful central place, good for restaurants and attractions nearby, by tram or walking. The hotel is clean, and a 'proper' hotel. Our room was lovely and overlooked the water. Cleaned regularly without delay. The staff were brilliant. We tried our poor French language skills out and the staff helped and were amused in equal measure. The breakfasts were ample and tasty. Recommended. We certainly hope to be back.
