Ulasan Mantra Esplanade

The Mantra Hotel has outstanding location. It is directly in front of the Woolworths supermarket - the best option in central Cairns. It's also virtually opposite (the esplanade side)the lagoon public beachfront swimming pool. Finally it's just a 5 minute walk from Cairns Cruise Terminal, with outstanding day trips to Green Island, Fitzroy Island and the Reef. I booked a sea view room. When you enter the room, you don't see the ocean, but a building across the road. However, the view from the balcony was amazing. The balcony overlooks the main features of lagoon on the sea front. During the day it is great view - the lagoon pools and sea in the background. At night you cannot see the sea (as to be expected) but you have the amazing lagoon lights, which makes it very desirable and even romantic. Our room was at the end of block, which overlooks a shopping mall (no car noise) - looking right from the balcony is the lagoon view and looking left is a mountain view. However, from 2:00pm to 6:00pm the sun comes directly into the balcony area, which means it unusable until sun sets. Of course if you don't mind baking in the sun on the balcony, this is not really a concern. The room itself is pretty basic. The mini fridge of OK and TV has domestic channels only - no cable TV for BBC/CNN. The bathroom is of a good size. There is combined shower & bath. However, when using the shower, it can slightly flood this bathroom. A shower curtain may be desirable because the glass panel is not sufficient enough. At $225 per night this hotel was not cheap and you can better deals by coming in the off-season OR going bit further down the esplanade, and choosing another hotel. The Mantra does have its own pool and it is wonderfully heated, with normal deck chairs you would expect at 4 star hotel. However, the pool gets very little natural sunlight, because it of its location between 2 buildings. Overall, the hotel has amazing location, and it is still recommended, despite the shortcomings mentioned. My final note: When we checked in, I was impressed with the level of service provided by the receptionist. She had a very welcome attitude and a wonderful personality.

The location is really convenient with lots of restaurants around. We like the Ben &Jerry round the corner of the hotel, we always visit there before returning to Hotel.

Perfectly located with friendly staff. Very quiet considering it is in the heart of the city. Only 5 minutes away from the airport and the harbour and esplanade is out the main entrance

日本人目線でレビューします。5月初旬に宿泊。 Pros - 立地が最高 - フロントスタッフの方はみな親切 - 無料で貸してもらえるバーベキューセットには多種類のトング，油，塩，胡椒が含まれる - トイレットペーパーが柔らかい - コーヒー，紅茶が多種類用意されている。冷蔵庫にはミルクも入っている - シャンプー，保湿バームなど洗面系のアメニティが充実 - バスタブが広い。お湯が出る速度が速いのですぐお湯をはれる - 飲料水をフロントで提供していて水を別途買わなくて良かった 事前情報があまり明記されていないが自分が欲しかった情報 (下記が解決されればさらに最高だったが，それでも全体的には非常に満足でした。) - パジャマやバスローブの類はない - 電子レンジはない - バーベキューセットにはナイフや食器類は含まれていない (ステーキ肉を買ったがナイフを持っておらず噛み切れなかった) - スプレータイプの消臭剤のようなものはない

ロケーションは最高です！近くに飲食店もあり移動に困ることは無かったです。ただ毎日清掃に入ってくれるわけではないのでタオル交換などは自分でフロントまで持っていかなければならなかったので、少し面倒でした。

Loved this for the proximity to everything. Close to the beautiful outdoor pool, close to Marina and shopping.

Reception staff were very welcoming lovely to deal with. Location is great. Not a 4 star hotel did not meet the requirements. No restaurant on premises, no mini bar, hotel section has no laundry facilites as stated. To get toilet paper or towels you had to go to reception to collect them they don't send them to the room and there was no hotel cleaning staff. Room was no attended to for the whole time i was there. The room was ok, 1 pillow had a stain and the bathroom door had fingerprints all over it. The bed cover also stained and looked like it had not been washed in a while. Location was great. However would not recommend staying here for the price they charge.

We really liked the location. Close to the beach, lagoon, tour pickup spots, restaurants and grocery locations. Very clean, quiet, and well maintained.

Upon arrival they took my money and then told me there was NO HOT WATER, they did not tell me their was NO WATER period, not even offered me a bottle of water to wash my face, make a cuppa, nothing, very poor communications, no feedback from my formal complaint, not until I requested a cancellation, then I was put through to the reservation manager who at least tried to be professional. No room service, my room request was not meet, overall not happy, room furniture was shabby, lots of old scratches on furniture. room needs a facelift.

I payed for shuttle service back to the airport. I didn’t receive it. I had to pay Uber for it. What happened?

Great location, spacious 1 bedroom apartment on 6th floor overlooking Cairns pool & Ocean. Amazing views. Coffee at Coast Roast well worth a visit. Many worthwhile restaurants on pier & esplanade. Downside of room 625 1. Very poor standard of the walls & doors. urgently needs a repaint. See photos 2. Housekeeping standards way below par and not what is expected at a Mantra property. The dust build up on the skirting boards in the dining area indicates this area has not been cleaned in a while. See photos 3. Renovations underway. Extremely disappointed to only learn of significant renovation noise as check in was being completed. The use of a jackhammer was quite significant & whilst we understood the need, to be sold a non-refundable room without fully disclosing the noise situation is simply poor form.

the shower and shower head i didnt like and the hot water ran out way to soon and was not up to standard

Great location and views from our apartment with a plethora of restaurants and cafes extremely close. Both the hotel pool and esplanade lagoon (opposite the hotel) pools are great.
