We stayed here for a week, and although I don’t usually complain, I feel compelled to share my experience. Upon arrival, I was initially disappointed with the apartment we were given, but as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for." It consisted of two interconnecting rooms on the ground floor, but the door between them was stuck shut. Maintenance eventually managed to open it, but it was a struggle. The apartment itself was outdated and in need of some serious attention. The shower barely worked, the doors were loose and difficult to open, and multiple lights, including the kitchen, bedroom, and outdoor ones, didn’t function. The fridge was damaged from being too close to the hob, and several windows were stuck shut. The patio was tiny, facing the street where passersby could easily look in, and the tiles were full of holes, making it dangerous to walk on without shoes. On the second night, we found cockroaches crawling out of the walls, vents, and sink. We reported it to reception, and while they did a deep clean and the place smelled fresher, the cockroaches returned the next day, including one the size of a phone. With young children in tow, this was unacceptable, and we had to move to another room upstairs by the fourth night. The new room was cleaner and nicer, though there were ants in the kitchen. As for the pool, it was in terrible condition. The damaged floor caused my granddaughter to cut her fingers and I also injured my foot. It wasn’t a pleasant environment. The only positive aspect of this place was the location. Having visited Fuerteventura for over 25 years, I’ve never had such an issue with cockroaches before. I would not stay here again, as there are certainly better options available.
