Elba Sara Beach & Golf Resort

Had joined a Facebook group for this hotel before arriving. Everyone was so complimentary so we had high hopes. We were disappointed. Pros: Food in the buffet restaurant was decent with a good choice Staff very friendly Lobby bar was lovely on an evening Plenty of sun loungers Overlooks the sea and our room got the sunrise each morning (545 deluxe double) Cons: Dated and tired Rooms not clean (cups and glasses were never washed or replaced) Furniture and flooring in need of replacement Very noisy in the hotel room, no soundproofing so could hear next doors tv, baby crying, cleaners up and down the corridor, moving furniture (bring your earplugs) Drinks choice poor on all inclusive Very limited choice of food in pool snack bar Some of our group got norovirus on the last day, not necessarily the hotels fault but didn’t help the experience A good 25 min walk to the marina/town We did enjoy our time there but would not return. The Barcelo was much nicer and we’ll be going back there next time.

The staff at this hotel are amazing, the food was lovely as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, we are going back in July we enjoyed our self's that much. The rooms are really spacious and the maids came in every day and the hotel is very clean and modern.

Just returned from a fantastic week away with family celebrating my sister birthday and my husbands also while we were there. From start to finish it was brilliant. Great service, food, staff were unbelievable. A special mention for Aitor for his amazing pirates and yoga classes daily. The aqua aerobics were also brilliant. Already looking to return . Keep up the excellent work guys.

This was our 1st visit to the Elba Sara Resort and we wouldn't return again. It's more of a 3 star hotel in our opinion. Firstly I will start with the positives and there isn't many. - good location, beach near by, nice promenade. - entertainment team work very hard and good with the children. Negatives - On arrival our first impressions were not great. Reception staff extremely blunt. I noticed straight away the thick dust behind the desk , which made me doubt the cleanliness in general. -No offer of help with our cases, having 2 children, a pushchair, and 3 large suitcases , made it a difficult to manage. - The room. On entering, it looked ok. They have tried to give the rooms a mini makeover but its half hearted. On closer inspection we discovered the floor was very dirty. You couldn't walk about bare foot. Which then makes me question the overall standards. - on one of the children's beds, we found long hairs on the sheets - the room is very tired looking and the cleanliness is very poor. The floor wasn't mopped all week. - on closer inspection walking around the hotel , it's very noticeable that the hotel is looking old and is maintained poorly. - the ladies pool toilet window was patched up with cardboard. - the sunbeds around the pool were visibly dirty and half of them were broken. - one of our children became ill for 48 hours whilst there, which I can only put down to something he ate in the buffet restaurant as no one else in our group became ill so couldn't of been a bug. - the food was poor, we have had much better quality in other 4 star hotels. These are just some examples of what we saw whilst staying and why we don't feel it's a 4 star hotel, it's 3 star at the best. We have recently returned from Elba Sara and loved this hotel. The food was brilliant, one of the best all inclusive hotels we have been to for the food. Themed nights were really good, great choice and we had no complaints about the food at all. We went to the tex mex restaurant and had steak which was really good. We didn’t eat in the restaurant for dinner and only went to the snack bar but the food was fine, burgers, hot dogs etc. The heated pool was great but the bigger pool (not heated) was cold at this time of year. The children’s pool wasn’t heated I don’t believe but was fine in temperature and we had no complaints. Staff were lovely very welcoming and polite and always happy to help especially Ari who was on the bar in an evening. The life guard was brilliant, my little cut her toe nail, he removed this for her and checked on her everytime he saw her to make sure she was ok. My only improvement I would say would be to open the broadway bar earlier. It opened at around 8:30pm and this was the same time as the mini disco started which made it a rush to get a drink and get sat down before it started. I think it should open earlier to save rushing around etc. it is about a 25 min walk across the beach front to the centre and there is a gate at the back to exit to save walking around. The rooms are a good size and we had a really big balcony with sea view. Over all we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely return

We've been a few times and here now and just reading a review that absolutely is false regarding the food. We've been for a week now and never had cold or awful food. Plenty of choice, incredible staff everywhere from reception to housekeeping from Bar staff to entertainment staff. Views from room 522 are insane. We can highly recommend this Hotel surely you will not be disappointed
