Cambará Pousada Cafundó

I stayed at Pousada Cafundo in October 2021 with my girlfriend, thanks to a recommendation from one of her friends. It was an extremely beautiful and relaxing place to spend time. In terms of location, it's about a 20 minute drive along a sealed road from Cambará do Sul. The sealed road continues for another few kilometres past Pousada Cafundo before turning gravel (decent, drivable quality) which leads to Cânion Fortaleza Cambara do Sul, one of the highlights of the area. It's also a good base to explore Cânion Itaimbezinho, although you have to return to Cambará do Sul and take a different road to get there. The grounds of the Pousada are just beautiful. We knew we were in for something special when we drove into the gates. This kind of remote getaway was exactly what we were hoping for. The room itself was spacious and rustic, the bed was extremely warm & comfortable, and we had a jacuzzi in the bathroom. A delicious & filling breakfast was provided on both days and some complementary snacks & wine were available in the room for us to try. The staff were attentive and helpful, they didn't speak English but luckily my Brazilian girlfriend was able to help translate. It was a great place for us to relax after a busy day of hiking the nearby canyons. Some small downsides were that the price is on the more expensive side, it took some time for the heating to kick in, and also the internet service was very poor (given that the area is remote, it's no surprise). However, the lack of internet gave us a rare chance to disconnect from the rest of the world. I give it 5 stars because it really did provide us with the getaway we needed.

Lugar lindo. Instalações boas, café bom servido no quarto; cama ótima, ducha com água quente. Funcionários prestativos. Pontos negativos: Sinal ruim de internet, escadas de acesso escorregadias, e o Lounge embaixo de um dos quartos limita o barulho ( fomos surpreendidos com batidas e pisadas no quarto acima, as 21:00hs).

Não tem uma poltrona para sentar, quarto desconfortável, apertado e sem infra. Café da manhã fraco, vc é obrigado a comer no quarto o que eles enviam (não se pode escolher), colocam a parte fria do café na véspera (nunca tá fresco e vc dorme com a mesa do café montada ao lado da cama) e o código para trazerem o quente é abrir a cortina, ou seja, se vc acorda e quer apreciar a paisagem, vc é obrigado a tomar café se quiser comida quente. Acessibilidade zero. A janela do banheiro dá para o corredor, portanto ou fecha a janela ou o vizinho que estiver passando te vê sentado. A pia fica no quarto, o banheiro é apertado por conta da jacuzzi, a privacidade é zero (escuta-se tudo!!!!). Resumindo, péssimas ideias em um local bonito que poderia ser adequadamente gerenciado. Como está, EVITE!
