My family and I would like to thank Home2 Suites Hilton Lynchburg its’ staff members, and especially Sherri and Brittany for helping to make our stay pleasant. We drove in from out of town for four hours away to attend a funeral and although we used the self check-in feature prior to hitting the road, our room was still not ready upon arrival. Sherri apologetically took full responsibility and did everything she could to make it up to us. Among other things, she patiently worked with us to locate and fully clean another room and provide additional linen and bedding for the sofa. Brittany also empathized with us and provided a discount while we waited. In addition to the staff members, this Home2 Suites was impressive as well. We enjoyed using the room control features, mobile app, fitness center, public office equipment, and pet accommodations for our French Bulldog. Breakfast was good, the 6AM-10AM time range even better, and there are plenty of lunch and dinner options in short driving distance to the hotel. Our room and public lounge areas were comfortable, spacious and well thought out. I am a Chief of operations and maintenance for commercial office buildings so I’m always tuned into how facilities are run, even outside of work. I give this facility 4.5 out of 5 stars only because I feel the stairwells should not be completely dark once motion sensors time out. It could make some fearful of using the stairs to casually travel between floors. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel.
