We arrived at the hotel in a foul mood about 01:30hrs after a delay at Teesside Airport and an hour’s delay with our transfer at Palma Airport. As soon as we got to reception our mood was lifted when greeted with a smile, warm welcome and kindness from the staff at reception. We had been allocated a room on the top floor as per our request. We were on half board and were informed a cold meal was waiting for us in our room together with a complimentary bottle of red wine and bottles of water. The next morning we went down to reception and informed them that unfortunately my wife doesn’t drink red wine. We were told that wasn’t a problem and were given a slip for two complimentary drinks from the bar. This kind and helpful approach from staff was a theme that continued throughout our stay, probably the friendliest staff we’ve ever encountered. The room was clean, well equipped with a safe (no charge), coffee maker, fridge, toiletries & hair dryer. The food was of a very high quality, varied selection and well replenished throughout our mealtime. Once again staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The swimming pool and area were clean, there were sufficient sun loungers with well maintained grounds. There were two good secure cycle stores and a spa in the basement . This was our third stay at a Helios Hotel and we are yet to be disappointed. We would highly recommend this hotel based on our experience, first class in every respect from the moment we arrived until the moment we departed.
