We arrived at the hotel around 5:45 PM, only to be told at the front desk that our room wasn’t ready—despite the stated check-in time of 4 PM. In the end, we didn’t receive our room keys until around 8 PM.
The valet parking service they claim to offer wasn’t actually available. Instead, we were asked to park the car ourselves in a parking lot and then walk back to the hotel.
At check-out, they attempted to charge me an additional 25%, claiming I needed to pay the resort fee and taxes again, even though everything had already been fully paid. When I pointed this out, the receptionist checked the system, confirmed that my payment was indeed complete, and said it was "strange." She then consulted with the manager, who insisted that the charge should remain.
When I requested to speak with the manager, I calmly explained the situation, pointing out that double-taxing was not only incorrect but also likely illegal. Instead of addressing my concerns, he told me to "calm down" and not "yell" at the staff—despite the fact that I was simply explaining the issue without raising my voice. He then spent five minutes scrolling through my phone, seemingly trying to find any loophole to justify an extra 25% charge. When he couldn’t, he silently updated the bill and removed the additional charges—without any apology for the inconvenience or for making us wait two extra hours for our room after a long journey.
Overall, it is a disappointing experience for what is supposed to be a "resort." Would not recommend.
