Nice place, nothing to complain

The reception and bar staff are excellent. The waiters in the restaurant were poor. The hotel has no exclusivity as there are constant tours in the guests reception area.

Loved everything about this hotel, and it’s history, I love the way the interior has been designed very sympathetically with attention to its past. The food and service in the main restaurant was excellent. We had some very nice cocktails in the bibliotheca bar which were reasonably priced. The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. Would love to stay there again

What an excellent location and superb renovation for a historic and iconic building. The scenery is also breathtaking. It was on our list of places to visit and didn’t disappoint. Maybe the main restaurant could improve a little unless we were just unfortunate. Disappointed we were unable to eat in the 1928 dining carriage as it was closed on the two nights we had in the hotel but other than that a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing experience

We have stayed 3 or 4 times on route to and from Spain form France. Having seen the building first as a virtual ruin many years ago we are amazed at what they have done to it to make it a first class hotel. The quality of the restoration and the hotel accommodation is stunning. Great friendly attentive service and a wonderful cocktail bar, what more could anyone want. Highly recommended.

On the face of it a super hotel. Great looking building, lovely staff and fantastic location. Some points to consider though. The rooms are small, they charge you extra for parking or to use the pool. Breakfast doesn’t start until 8 am. Late if you need an early start. EVERY restaurant in the hotel doesn’t open until 8pm? That’s just odd! There is also no outside bar / terrace. Crazy when you have such a fantastic location and the sun is shining. They really could do better with just a few small changes.

The Hotel was Fantastic . But for the Price the parking swimming or Breakfast should have been included.

From start to finish, an unforgettable experience in an historical building, everything and everyone was as it should be , service, catering , bedding , parking , we hope to come back soon!

Stayed for 1 night while transiting from Spain to France. Fantastic job at restoring a historical building into a quaility hotel. Love the Art Deco railway themed decor. Well worth stopping by just for coffee or lunch even if you dont want to splash out for overnight accomodation.
