We stayed at the Hilton Cardiff for four days at the end of March 2023. We really enjoyed our stay! The people at reception made us feel very welcomed, and couldn’t have been nicer! ALL of the people who work here were extremely friendly and helpful. We wanted to give a special thank you to Mark, the night manager. He was always cheerful - at the beginning AND at the end of his shift in the morning, which is not easy! He even kindly got us a bucket of ice very early one morning when my wife hurt her knee as she was stepping out of bed and the bed rolled away from her. We spoke to Mark about the incident, and hopefully, by now, they have fixed the “rolling coasters with no brakes on the box springs” problem. Mark was so kind and concerned about her fall that he checked on her twice - right after the incident and even the next day, which was the last day of our stay. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety of hot and cold food offerings and was maintained to perfection by the attentive and efficient staff! The buffet was hosted by Bassam, who was very personable and interesting to talk with. The executive lounge was lovely, with beverages and a few snacks available throughout the day. There is an evening manager’s reception and some savory finger foods were offered each night. Our room had a stunning view of Cardiff Castle and the castle grounds! We would happily return to Hilton Cardiff, and we thank them for making our stay really memorable and pleasant. As a side note, we took the Cardiff Castle Ghost Tour and highly recommend it! It’s great to be able to tour the castle at night, and the two hosts were full of fun facts and historical information about the beautiful and “over the top” decor of the castle!

Love this hotel. It is very central with shops, bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. There is a secure parking garage aswell which you have to pay for but all hotels charge for parking. Staff are always very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast at this hotel is really good!

Staff is very friendly and helpful! In the morning I check out the lady at the counter offered to help me store my luggage so I can take a look at the city without burden. The waiter in the restaurant upstairs is also helpful that he helps take the meal downstairs for me for takeaway(but I still suggest them to get paper boxes for food delivery). However after asking for toothbrush at night the staff forgot to bring me one so I have to get down to take it. Overall nice, will revisit next time!

Good location, comfy bed nice bedding Good breakfast. Friendly staff Dated rooms very tired. Stained carpet. Very old bathroom. Windows do not open and NO air Con in room which made sleeping really bad. Was a fan to blow hot air around and free water Fine if you get a good rate but mine was extremely expensive over £300 for 1 night (as Cardiff was very busy) photos online make rooms look better than they are (or mine at least) I will not stay again

We stayed for two nights as a January The service is excellent. We had a really comfortable room, Housekeeping reception and restaurant was excellent. We loved the breakfast, great choices. The sauna and swimming pool was great. Staff are wonderful throughout the hotel. We will definitely return back. Thank you!

Perfect Hotel to explore Cardiff! Really central. Lovely friendly staff. In fact every single person we met in Cardiff was so so friendly! Couldn't believe how quiet it was in the rooms considering we were there on a Six Nations weekend. Superb security on a Six Nations weekend that ensured only residents could access the Hotel. The rooms are compact, but perfectly formed, you have everything you need!! Bed was super comfy too! We didn't opt for breakfast so can't comment on that, but I would highly recommend this great Hotel. We would absolutely return!

Received a very warm welcome, check-in and check-out was swift and easy. Very comfortable room without any noise, ideal if you are looking for a quiet place to rest and relax. Loved the experience. Will definitely come again.

Comfortable stay with professional and personable staff. From the point of checking in, to the restaurant/bar staff and the room attendants our experience was 5 star. This was a lovely hotel in a very useful location. Room had all amenities required for a comfortable stay, from the bath to the robes, all providing a relaxing atmosphere. Got a great deal on a room only basis so room was small but that's ok. Breakfast at £15.50 each was decent value as plenty of choice and catered for gluten free. Car parking at £15 per night was fine too. Hotel itself is starting to show its age but reception, main foyer and bar area were really nice. Staff all very friendly, so would stay again.

Everything was excellent. Great welcome by Karl. Useful local tips. Spacious room. Quiet neighbourhood. Great parking. Superb breakfast. This hotel offers has an uniqueness, which we thoroughly enjoyed including the lounge / library area. Nice broad selection of books available as well.
