Hotel Carlisle dengan Sarapan

What a great hotel, the rooms are outstanding, beautifully finished and very clean. The restaurant bar area is amazing and all the staff are super friendly. There are plenty of hotels in Carlisle and most of them are below average, but this one is fantastic and if you have the budget you won’t be disappointed.

Low budget - hotel decor dated - windows old and badly painted. Welcome was friendly and helpful. Bar but no evening meals or lunches. Next door to Carlisle Railway Station on one side and Costa Coffee on other side. Several stairs to get up with cases. Single bed was surprisingly comfortable and surprisingly cosy. Small bath and shower - lashings of hot water. Breakfast adequate - a bit of everything. Bacon was dried out by 7.30am but sausages were delicious. Solid fried eggs on offer. Mainly tinned fruit with apple and yoghurt. Ubiquitous coffee machine…. Instant is better .. but they are all doing it. Juice and fresh milk on offer. Small selection of cereals. My room was cheap - noisy outside… the car park had replacement coach services… but worst of the swearing and shouting stopped around 1.00am. Hotel was warm and dry. A small lift for one with luggage. Staff were very kind - left my luggage in a locked room while I went to get my hire car. At half the price of similar low-facilities hotels I was happy enough. Might do without breakfast in future and go to Costa.

This hotel is in great need of some tlc. Very tatty and in some parts repair is needed. It seemed clean enough and the staff were helpful but the place itself was not good value for money. On arrival to the twin room we'd booked, we found only one bed had a duvet on it. We were given another room which was a double and less suitable for us as it meant sharing a bed. There was a hell of a lot of noise from other guests, both above and in the room next to us, and the walls seemed very thin. So we didn't get much rest. The included breakfast was fair and cooked to order, although quite limited beyond the cooked part.

Very basic-looking hotel : reception is someone sitting at the bar with a laptop! Yet very friendly and does it’s job. Room seems very basic but has everything you need - bed nothing impressive to look at but very comfortable! No view but good vértice blind system. Shower fantastic - bathroom basic but spotlessly clean. I decided the thing that makes a hotel look “cheap” is the flooring! Breakfast offered bacon, sausages, eggs and even boiled eggs - also tinned fruit and yoghurt. Machine coffee. I was happy with my stay. Staff happily looked after my cases while I went into town; all very friendly. Nearby restaurants and cinema …. Station 5 minutes walk. Very convenient.

Stayed here for an overnight stop coming back from Edinburgh. Staff were really helpful and friendly - in fact I would say some of the best staff I have encountered at a hotel. Rooms were clean and tidy with good amenities should you need them and also nice to have plentiful tea/coffee/water facilities in the room. Beds were comfy, everything was clean including towels etc. The water pressure wasn't the best in the shower, but it was ok - I'm being really picky to be fair. Breakfast was great value (booked when booking the room) with lots to choose, there was something for everyone, continental, cereals, cooked, tea's coffee, juices etc etc If I'm up that way again, I would definitely stay here again.

A decent hotel with very old furnishing. But what it lacked on it, it more than recovered on its location which is right in the city centre with just 2 min walk from station and excellent staff. The room’s thermostat was not working properly so when I raised this complaint to the reception they promptly provided me with another room heater. The polite and helpful staff enhanced the overall experience

Honest review of this budget hotel, the good points are that it’s cheap, the sheets and towels are clean, the shower works properly the bed is comfy (ish) and the breakfast for £8 isn’t bad either. So if you’re working locally or passing through then it serves a purpose for a night. The hotel car park is rammed with white vans in the evening which are all gone by 8am. It’s a definite favourite with contractors. The lady on reception was very welcoming and obviously hard working as she helped clean the bar at night too. Ok now the bad points, the place is dated, really tired looking as an example the signage to the front has been removed or has fell off and not been replaced so first impressions are shocking. The room was tired and dirty in places such as the carpet was badly stained and the TV remote was a bio hazard to be honest, the curtains were damaged, the nets had holes in them the wardrobe doors had been ripped off and there were no hangers. The furniture was dusty and the room door was damaged as if it been hit with something. The carpet was giving off a funny smell as was the shower curtain which was going brown, the anti slip bath mat was really grubby. The bar had no draft beer as the refrigeration system had broken down so the only beer they had was Carlsberg bottles or Coronas but no limes (due to health and safety) so Scottish Steve informed me on the bar 🤷🏼‍♂️ Only 30% of the bar food menu was available and many of the tables were dirty and cluttered until the reception lady came in to tidy up. To be fair when the chicken and chips came out it was very nicely cooked, pipping hot, well presented and good value at £8. So all in all, it’s very average, poorly maintained but cheap.

Swimming pool still not open at the hotel. Smelt like done one had been smoking in the bathroom prior to our stay.
