The rooms are very compact, and have everything you need apart from a cooking area. There is a fridge though. There is storage under the bed and good air conditioning. You can also have access to a laundry room and parking around the corner for an extra charge. With a bar and restaurant downstairs and it's central location it's perfect for exploring the city. The staff are very friendly and supportive too.

It’s a nice 2km walk to the city center, and you could stroll around the park in the evening to check out the Auckland Botanical Garden. Just a heads-up, there’s no airport transfer, but you can easily grab an Uber.

Spacious room and conveniently located in city centre. Friendly staff. On site parking is limited but the meter parking is free of charge from 6pm till 9am.

The location is near the city centre and the riverside market, within walking distance. We booked a deluxe triple room with three single bed and a private bathroom, which is awesome. However, there might be some noise from the outside during midnight which couldn’t be blocked fully by the windows.

We had a wonderful stay at Novotel Christchurch Airport. The location is unbeatable — literally just a short walk from the airport terminal, making it incredibly convenient, especially for travellers with young children. We stayed for one night with our toddler as we had an early morning flight the next day, and it was the perfect choice. Being able to rest properly without worrying about airport transfers made our journey so much smoother. The room was spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped for our family. Everything was clean and thoughtfully laid out, giving us a relaxing stay before our flight. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention to the concierge team, who kindly gifted our toddler a cute little Kiwi bird plushie. It was such a thoughtful gesture and brought a huge smile to his face. Small touches like these really make a difference and leave a lasting impression. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay. Great service, fantastic location, and family-friendly hospitality. We would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in Christchurch.

Good hotel in a convenient location. The room was clean . However, there were not enough staff members, which made service a bit slow. It would also be helpful if the hotel provided more information about how to use the facilities. Overall, good value but some improvements are needed.”

My friends and I had a great stay at The Bealey Quarter! The motel is situated in Christchurch City, allowing easy access to the tourist sites, whether you're travelling on foot, by car, or by public transport. There are plenty of buses and metro buses that frequently stop right near the accommodation as well! The staff were very friendly. We had a late flight (that got delayed even later) and ended up having to check in after hours. They were very accommodating with this, and similarly, when we asked for new towels, we received them immediately. Similarly, they were kind enough to allow us to put our luggage in their reception office whilst we went to collect our rental car on the day that we checked out. My only issue is that I had to contact them a few times before I received the late check-in details. The facilities were lovely. and very clean! The bathroom was private with a shower with good pressure and hot water. The bench and the toilet were a little high, which we were surprised by, but this wasn't a major issue at all! My only recommendation would be to add a ventilation fan to the bathroom, as although there is an open window above the sink, ventilation was still not ideal. The room came with a heater, a really good fan, and very comfy blankets and duvets. We were also provided with glasses and mugs, a selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate, a hair dryer, a bin, a little cupboard, desk, chair, and even a bench where our suitcases fit really well. The view of the courtyard was beautiful despite the somewhat miserable weather, and access to the courtyard via the back door meant we could use the hammocks in the nice grassy area :) The back door was a bit tough to open, and we had to actually get the staff to show us how to use it. My only other qualm is that there is no potable water in the rooms themselves. Instead, our keycard allows us to the Lodge (I believe the hostel area), where there's a kitchen and we can fill up. Overall, we had a great experience here and I definitely recommend the Bealey Quarter to anyone coming to Christchurch. It was so affordable too :)) I didn't get many good photos but here you go!

Fantastic city location, great little studio apartment. Clean, spacious rooms, lifts were always available. Convenient cafe located in foyer. Only issue is with their lack of parking space. It was a game of musical chairs whenever we returned back to our apartment day or night. Although we paid and were allotted a car park space, inevitably it was occupied by another car. Throughout our stay I went to the front reception to request our parking space be made available as we had paid for it. Almost all staff were exceptional with communication, including friendly cleaning staff. There was only one reception person who was non communicative and showed little interest. We insured we spoke to the others who were happy to engage and answer questions when they arose, to insure we had a great stay.

A great hotel situated on the edge of the city meaning it’s quiet but still accessible. The king size room was lovely and spacious and the bed was comfortable and big. Toiletries were great quality and the service was suitably attentive. Only thing that was challenging was the unavailability of premium breakfast times due to the Christmas season, meaning 2 out of 4 mornings we skipped breakfast due to having to sit super early or towards lunch. Would definitely recommend and would very happily stay here again.

The accommodation is located near Christchurch airport, which is great. We especially like the bed, spacious bathroom and balcony view. Wifi connection and TV mirroring from iPhone worked well. All is good except the coffee pantry area where we could not find light. Too dim to prepare coffee or drinks.
