Clean. A new smell saturates the room, as well as Fabuloso! I love doing pushups, and noticed no dirt on my hands since housekeeping actually cleans the floors. German deli with great prices and HUGE servings is across the streets. It took me years of visiting this hotel before knowing that a restaurant was across the street.

We checked in and front desk was super friendly and made checking in easy, had a problem with toilet and front desk immediately had another room waiting for us. The rooms where clean and smelled fresh. All the basic needs. Mini fridge was cold and ready, the microwave was clean and the coffee was ready to be made will definitely stay there again

This place has become one of my top choices when I'm in the area for business and need to meet numerous clients. The recent renovations to the rooms have elevated the experience, making it even more pleasant. Whether it's for a vacation, business trip, or a local staycation, this spot is a definite must-visit.

The staff went above and beyond everyday. Location is kept very clean, and the overall accommodations are excellent. Plenty of parking, grounds kept up very nicely. Coming out to the ocean view everyday a definite perk. Next time I am on a work or personal trip I will stay again.

You can't beat the price for a room 3 fwy exits from Carlsbad By The Sea. Suites have a separate bed (with large screen tv) and bathroom, a front sitting area with large screen tv, table and chairs to sit and eat a meal or work on computer and a full kitchen with stove top, microwave, full size fridge, sink, dishwasher and counter to work. Pool and hot tub, breakfast included. Plenty of electric outlets and charging areas for cell phones, etc. Bed was firm and comfortable for 80 year olds with bad backs. My only complaints are not many restaurants close by for lunch or dinner, and our room this visit was close to the freeway and noisier than previous stays.

We stayed there for a week while visiting family in the area. We were pleasantly surprised (due to budget motel) at how clean and big the room was. The bed was VERY comfortable (prior back surgeries so we're picky) and everything was really clean. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the parking is free, and it's easy access to I-5 and downtown Carlsbad. As noted by some, you do hear interstate noise. It that's going to bother you then you'll have to go inland further. We both had no problem sleeping right through it.

Clean rooms with an excellent location for Legoland. Comfortable beds and good room setup for a family. Breakfast had a good selection - it was very busy most mornings and the Home2 Suites team had a hard time keeping up, but they were trying their best and remained friendly and helpful.

I would not stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the room itself was lacking. Outdated bathroom with a bathtub that had nothing to keep you from skipping to the bathroom tile that just as slippery even with the floor towel. The room was big and clean with a nice bed but the lugging was awful. There were 2 side tanks lamps, 1 floor lamp, and a desk lamp(didn't work). Even with the 3 that worked out was still very dimly lit. The pipes in the wall sounded like they were going to bust when a another room would turn on their water. It was so loud. When I booked this room it said it was a 3 star hotel, more of a 2. Without the staff a 1. There not being an elevator to the second floor was tough. Then there were 2 sounds at night. One sounded like something cheering on wood above me, and the other was something tapping on the wall. There was an extra charge when I checked in that wasn't on the site when I booked it. This could be the hotel or this dues fault, bit sure. My rating didn't really reflect the start because of the categories.
