I would avoid this hotel unless you want to risk getting massively over charged on credit card holds for incidentals. The hotel charged holds of $8,400 on my card after 3 nights where I only spent about $900 in total. While the staff that I (finally) spoke with seemed like nice people, they were not helpful. Whether its maliciousness or ineptitude, something is wrong with the way this hotel treats its customers. I would urge caution to anyone who stays here. My family and I checked in on Friday for a 8 night stay. At that time our credit card was billed for the cost of the stay, which made sense. During our first 3 days at the hotel we averaged about $300/day spent on breakfast and dinner as a family, or about $900 in total. During that time the hotel placed 3 additional holds for incidentals on our credit far for almost $8,400, nearly 10x what we spent. This is all on top of the initial charge for our room and just 3 nights into an 8 night stay. When I raised this issue with the staff it was a long process to try to get fixed. Over 10 hours after I went to the front desk to complain about this, and over 3 hours after I was told ”a manager will call you shortly” when no one ever did, I finally went to the front desk and refused to leave until I spoke with a manager. After 30 minutes of waiting someone finally came out. He attempted to explain that the $8,400 of holds they placed on my card were justified by their system. I did my best to show the math in that I had only spent about $900 and there was no scenario where holding almost 10x that amount made sense. I told them that if they kept doing this they'd max out my card by the end of our 8 night stay. In the end it was useless as they were not listening to the math. And the fact that it was almost impossible to get anyone to help with this is a poor reflection on hotel management.
