Hotel dengan Bar di Catania

Good centrally located rooms and the airport bus stops right across the road. All of Catania's attractions are within walking distance. The room (a triple) was spacious, clean and well-decorated. Breakfast was more than adequate with a selection of savoury and sweet options. Fresh coffee is made to order. Do not let the external entrance put you off -:once inside it is a modern and comfortable place to stay.

Se facciamo questa recensione è solo per un motivo: ROBERTA! L'hotel è centrale, pulito, curato e perfetto per chi vuole girare a piedi e usare poco l'auto. Quel che fa la differenza però è Roberta, sempre sorridente, gentile, professionale e di quella simpatia tutta siciliana che la rendeva ancora più bella. L'essere ”accoglienti” è un dono che hai dentro e che non acquisirai, neanche con l'esperienza, lei ha quel dono genuino che rende questo hotel assolutamente PERFETTO! Grazie di tutto da me e Giancarlo! A presto!

First of of all I want to thank Vincenzo and Claudia C at the reception. They are a very good asset for the hotel, always very prompt to help with excellent service always with a smile. Our room was very clean, I thank Giusi, at the first floor of the hotel ,she really does her job very well with attention to detail, most of the times you rarely find even in 5 star hotels,she is an other asset. The hotel is very comfortable, good position, very clean and has great safe private and secure parking. Definitely will revisit when in Sicily.

Great location, clean, comfortable and spacious room. The hotel is just steps away from the Duomo, where there are many nice places to eat, have wine or delicious canoli. The pretty lady at reception (I forgot to get her name) gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants and local shopping. We enjoyed our time there very much.

Business style hotel in a nice location on a side street away from the main shopping street but within around 10mins easy walking distance. Coop supermarket within 5mins walk. Comfortable bedrooms, although not the largest in size. Some rooms have balconies. My room had a bathtub with a shower over, plus bidet. Bedroom windows have electric blinds but they are quite noisy so can sometimes hear when next door rooms are moving theirs. Vivid blue and yellow colour scheme in the bathroom can be a bit harsh when you're still waking up. Reasonable choice of food at breakfast- breads, pastries, cakes, yogurts, lots of fresh juices, some fresh and tinned fruit etc. Not many hot options but that's expected for Italy. Not many tables in the area where the food & drink are set for breakfast although there are other tables available in a second area beyond. Snacks are available during the day from just behind reception should you want them. Two lifts but both small. One was being worked on as our group were trying to get their luggage down to check out and other guests still going to/from breakfast, which meant a bit of a wait for that single active lift. Overall, despite a few ******* I had a great stay & would go back if I return to Catania.

This hotel made our holiday. Granted it’s not in the best area but we absolutely loved it. The room was huge, spotless, modern and has everything you need. We were road facing so the road noise was there but it didn’t bother us as up with a 9 year old at 7am! The beds were very comfy and for Italy in our experience this is rare. The pool area was lovely, the pool wasn’t big but big enough for the amount of guests. The reception staff were all welcoming and helpful, the staff working on the bar and at breakfast were all fab and spoke good English. The breakfast was very fresh with plenty of continental choice. We also had a light lunch on a couple of occasions which was lovely. We hired a car which you definitely need as nothing in walking distance apart from a little bar/coffee place across the road. The car hire at the hotel was €100 per day but we found a local company before we flew out for £400 for the week so it’s better to look around. We managed to park at the hotel no problem. €40 in taxi from airport to hotel. Going into the city and driving was something else. Parking is hard work but overall we loved it. We have been all over Italy for the last 12 years and I must say the food we had in Sicily was truly the best. We ate a lot of fresh fish. Places to visit Mt Etna - €90 in cable car but worth it Etnaland water park €80 for 3 people but it’s amazing for families and would highly recommend Taomina - the beach was stoney but a beautiful place. Absolutely full of tourists though. Overall our second visit to Sicily did not disappoint, my family had the most amazing time. It’s not your typical ‘family’ holiday but that is why we liked it so much. We would stop at this hotel again and again and would highly recommend

Posizione centralissima, piccolo hotel semplice, con camera spaziosa è gestito da personale molto cordiale in grado di darti tutte le informazioni su come muoversi e cosa visitare a Catania e dintorni. La mattina è possibile prepararsi una piccola colazione alla macchinetta prima di uscire (zona piena di bar e pasticcerie). La nostra camera aveva anche un piccolo balconcino che da sulla piazza. Purtroppo sotto c’è un kebab che frigge e non abbiamo potuto tenere le finestre aperte. Abbiamo prenottato 5 notti per noi è stato un ottimo soggiorno.

This is not the five star hotel it purports to be and was a great disappointment to us on our recent stay. The staff on reception were polite and professional, and when asked a direct question were helpful enough, but at check-in omitted to tell us some basic information (where the breakfast room is - impossible to find independently - and the fact that there is a lido down the road where hotel guests can use the sun beds free of charge and which has a good restaurant). Our room had a number of basic faults which should have been picked up by housekeeping. The light over the bath didn't work, the battery was hanging out of the safe's door, there was a big crack in the window and the kettle spout was chipped. As other reviewers have noted, WiFi and air conditioning are sporadic. The pool area felt tired and tatty, and loud music played there all day. It's not a place you want to spend time. Breakfast was acceptable, but the staff were not welcoming or helpful. When food ran out it was generally not restocked. There was a very strong smell of bleach throughout the hotel corridors and in our room; I suspect it was masking a more unpleasant odour. Essentially, I would avoid staying here.

We have stayed here every year for the last 7 years and love this hotel. When you first arrive, the entrance is in a side street which is not too appealing; don't worry because the interior is lovely. The aircon works, the bar is comfortable with a good range of beers and wines (and you have to ask Letitzia NOT to bring out snacks or she brings a load - not good if its just before dinner!) and we love the courtyard to just sit in and enjoy a quiet drink. The breakfast is a very good buffet - not as extensive as we've seen in other places, but more than enough for anyone. You can ask for coffee (I love Davids and Antonio's cappucinos) rather than using the coffee machine. The rooms are large, clean and feel very spacious and we like the rooms overlooking the street at the back. The bathroom/ toilet is excellent and there is a bidet which my wife absolutely loves! there is a fridge in the rooms with water and juice. The staff could not be nicer or more friendly, or more helpful - they really make the hotel. On reception, I'd say that Suzy has the best English, but Valeria and Lucia are both fine - just with more of an accent:) The hotel location is excellent; you are an easy 10 - 15 minute stroll to the market and on to Via Etnea from there; the other way - 15-20 minute stroll to the railway or bus stations. There are a lot of good cafes and restaurants in close vicinity. How much do we love this hotel? As I said, we stay every year for the last 7 years for about 2 weeks; I'm a member of the Accor Hotel Group rewards scheme and there are a number of Accor group hotels in the vicinity - good ones. We still choose Katane Palace every time and are looking forward to staying there again next year.
