Hotel berhampiran Davies Paints, Cebu

Booked this hotel because it’s location is very prime. Right beside it is the Ayala Center Cebu Mall which is very convenient for shopping. Also, Landers is also 5-6 minutes walk. Check in was a breeze, though I had to wait for 30 minutes for my room to be prepped. I was pleased with them adhering tom my request: high floor with view, lots of pillows and room slippers. Bathrobes are not readily available but you can request one. The design of the room was dated but it was clean. Minor were small stain in the beddings. Only a telephone shower unlike majority of 3-4 star hotels that they have both telephone and rain showers. Also, the shampoo, body wash and conditioner are just in small bottles, prefer to have it in a dispenser. Towels are not that soft but not to hard. TV only has cable, no option to use the smart TV function. Cable channels are decent. Internet is also good. Pool was small. Breakfast selection was underwhelming for the price.

This time of my stay with them can give 5 star as they might hear my last complain about the kettle for a hot water to make early coffee. This time yes they have it with a 2 bottle of water drinking water plus a pitcher to pitch a cold water on the water despenser on the hallway. Management might have change. The room I request a bigger bed as I'm alone the girl in the front desk find and had my request granted without hasitation it was amazing how they'd been train to become a better costumer service. Very comfy bed soft pillows and had a heavy blanket that you can really sleep well like a baby. had a heavy block out curtain that cannot even hear any noise outside. Had a big tv with enough channel to watch, I always use this hotel every time I travel to cebu often if I catch a available room. Close to port area and accessible to downtown and to SM mall, beside they have Robinson mall on the same building. The food is superb with a good selection of coffee beans, mix with korean, filipino and american breakfast its excellent even the staff had been in deferent attitude this time starting from the security guard to the waiter every one is very polite, every one is very helpful like the quality of 5 star international hotel around the world, I can recommend this hotel for comfort, security and cleanliness.

The units were not brand new but they were very clean (no cockroaches which is important for me) spacious, and had all that we needed to make our trip comfortable. Breakfast buffet is very good. We stayed for 31 days so realistically, sometimes there will be food items that are on the repeat. What makes staying here so special is actually the staff. They are amazingly nice, pleasant, respectful and very helpful. Special mention to Seira and Joyce from the business center who responded to all our concerns in a timely manner. Then to the Puso Restaurant staff John and Mark who always greet us with a smile and made sure we had our coffee and drinks ready when we have breakfast. The location is also very good, just a few mins walk away from Ayala Mall. We highly recommend booking here.

Location wise, its just a few meters away from Ayala Mall. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Loved the body wash scent. Breakfast spread, loved the chicken. Will surely stay here again.

Very good experience in this hotel, definitely will come back here , the receptionist and all the people here are so friendly and welcoming. Also the price is affordable, highly recommended!

The position is perfect, just walking distance from IT patk where you can get all restaurants and goos night life. The hotel is very nice, clean and new, rooms are though a bit old style and would need renovation.

I planned this trip for 4 months because i wanted this to be special. And it is our first time as a family flying together and on top of that our first time in Cebu. Seda is a highly recommended hotel by our friends and with the good reviews i gave in. We are way too early when we arrived. We are offered an early check in of course with additional pay but we opted to wait for 1.5 hours. Since it is really like next to the mall we roam and walk around had our brunch. We came back the check in counter staff was different from the earlier mandatory to ask same question which is perfectly fine. The rooms are spacious, clean , and i must say this room is way better at Conrad near mall of Asia (where we stayed before we fly to Cebu- room smells like old and there’s cockroach in the cupboard) Anyway the highlight of this Seda stay is the surprise Cake and Birthday Song for my mom she literally cried because of happiness Shout out to the BEST, Top notch, unparalleled good service of KINGSWELL and FATIMA of the Breakfast Buffet staff. I can say that Cebuano’s is really legit friendly and happy. All smiles all the way, all throughout our breakfast knowing that the place is packed (Sunday ). Guys you really need to hire and clone these people they are the GEM of Seda Cebu! Thank you again for making this trip a memorable one. One of the reason to visit Cebu Seda is because of Kingswell and Fatime - We will definitely be back to this place.

Good location with wide range of amenities. Hotel and room itself are clean, well-maintained with good internet connection. I came with my spouse and small kids, employees (like Riza and Girlie) were helpful and attentive to our needs. My family felt at home during our stay. Everything was very convenient. Good value for money.

I totally recommend this hotel to my friends and family. The room was clean, and the towels and blankets were spotless (though they didn’t provide slippers, which was fine for me since I don’t use them). Kudos to the cleaning staff for ensuring everything was immaculate. I don’t usually use hotel blankets because they often smell unwashed or feel like there are insects crawling on them, but that wasn’t the case here. The staff was super friendly and approachable. The receptionist who assisted me during check-in and check-out was professional and made me feel comfortable. The cleaning staff greeted me with a smile in the hallway, as did the bellboy and guard. For what it’s worth, the price you pay is fair for the service provided. However, if you’re looking for a hotel close to the airport, I wouldn’t recommend this one. It took me an hour to get to the airport due to the horrible traffic. Aside from that their breakfast is just right. I thought it was a buffet kind of bfast but food is nice😊👍🏻

This visit to Marco Polo truly saddened me. If you read some of my past reviews of this hotel I noted it was my favorite place to stay anywhere in the world. This was my first post Covid visit and I was shocked and disappointed. - Basic maintenance has not been completed. For example, there is a glass elevator that goes to Blu their rooftop restaurant. This elevator was out of order and when I asked why I was told “Covid.” Covid travel restrictions were lifted a long time ago and that’s no excuse. In a second example, we returned to our room after a long night and the key did not work. It turned out the battery in the electronic device on the door needed to be replaced and the front desk understand the issue immediately, so this must happen often. Good hotels replace these batteries on a schedule so the guests never suffer from dead batteries. - Service, which used to be outstanding?@, is now unacceptable. First, the English language skills of most employees we encountered were sub par. Second, the person who checked me in was being trained, so the check in process was very slow. Third, service at the poolside bar during lunch was slow, the waitstaff inattentive and they failed to include my banana shake on the bill so as we are leaving the grab us and give us a second bill to pay. Fourth, service at breakfast was terrible. I had to ask for black tea three times before I got it, seeking some out 3 times as no one ever came to check on us. When we arrived around 9 AM there was no bacon (later replenished with bacon that looked so bad I did not even try it, fatty and not crisp), there was 1 banana, which was never replenished, there were no juice glasses (later replenished). The food quality was adequate but not nearly up to pre-Covid standards. Overall the service was lacking. - I was also disappointed that the lobby lounge, which used to have live music every night now has piano music only and only 1 night per week I am told. - There was a cart of dirty linens in our hallway both days Some of these things are not expensive or hard to fix. It doesn’t cost a lot to have live music in the lounge nightly as there are lots of singers groups looking for opportunities. It doesn’t cost a lot to make sure you change door card batteries regularly Others are basic requirements if doing business. For example you don’t leave a glass elevator to one of the most expensive restaurants in Cebu out of order for month/years. I am purchasing a condo unit in Marco Polo residences and expected to regularly visit the hotel for meals/drinks, but if this is the quality and service we can expect, then I will not be utilizing their services.
