Well where do I start. One big disappointment and a lackluster food offering. (We even phoned prior to booking to check that there would be vegan options.) On arriving, being given a menu and then being told to "order whatever you want from there as the chef can accommodate", which sounded a baffling prospect with 3/4 dishes are full meat affairs and so after querying the confusing suggestion, and the options are only the veggie one but without the diary element. To then be given a non vegan amuse bouche that was only discovered by having check if it was suitable, and hard split peas for a dhal. The meat options have been craftfully selected to showcase local produce. The veggie option appears to just be on there to appease the non meat eaters, with the typical remove items to be a vegan alternative being a lower rate option. An oil saturated crouton to accompany the soup and undercooked legumes. If you must. Spending £100 on 2 unsatisfactory courses, one glass of wine and the 10% service charge is the final kick in the teeth for such an under par meal. If you eat meat, then I can see why it has such a positive rating. If you don't, then I'd ask for another bread board over the actual menu item. Otherwise you're left feeling massively underwhelmed and overcharged. Scored 2 based on my partner's meal. Based solely on the vegan experience and it wouldn't score. Especially when being served non vegan food
