NotOnMap - Rafi's House

Staying at Rafi’s place changed our definition of travel. The property is surrounded by scenic beauty – mesmerizing mountain views, and river sal flowing by (Pictures don’t do justice). It has been one of the best homestays for us to experience the local Himachali culture and live like locals. The property is built on Rafi’s farm where he grows veggies, fruits, corn, wheat, adding to the beauty of the scenery. The property also has a grahat ki chakki which runs through the water turbine. Rafi also owns cows, buffalos, horse, and sheep, adding to the village experience. During your stay, you can enjoy local trekking, sitting by the river, watching birds. The rooms are built using stone and mud, with modern amenities such as a geyser and room heater. Rafi’s family was very welcoming and ensured we had the best time of our life. Apart from the scenery, we loved the experience of sitting next to the chulah and having makki ki taazi rotiya, with locally grown saag (Bicchu mati plant). Also thank you for the gal gal experience while enjoying the sun at your terrace. Thank you Rafi and family. Hoping to see you guys again!
