Hotel berhampiran Walgreens, Chattanooga

My stay has been more than disappointing, it is down right unacceptable. Checking in I was met with a very rude woman behind the counter who made very unprofessional comments. I booked through ******* and when I came in they tried to charge me a completely different price. I didn't hold back and I made them charge me the correct amount. Coming to our room was initially nice, but we soon found that the bedsheets were stained, the ac barely cooled the room, for a room of four we only had 2 rolls of toilet paper and one trash bag. This wouldn't be so bad but their room service only comes once every 3 days, if you are lucky. Our room service never came on the day they were supposed to, not even a knock on our door. We had to schedule them the next day and we were told that they would come between a certain time in the morning. We made sure we were not in the room before that time and didn't come back until later in the day. After an exhausting day we came back to a room that had not been touched. We decided to call the front desk using our rooms phone, only to find that it did not work. We had to make our way back down and practically begging for them to come up and clean the room. Once they did come we were met with attitude by the cleaning lady. We thought she did a good job at first, but we found out she never even replaced our shampoo and conditioner, only adding water to it. I wouldn't recommend going to the pool at least in the current condition it is in. When you first walk in you are welcomed to a loud screeching fan that fills and echos into the room. you have to talk quite loudly to even be able to hear over it. That's not the only thing you should avoid in the pool. When we first came the pool was closed but then reopened, we were told it was safe to swim, but that was not the case. All of our hair is fried, our skin dried and irritated, and our bathing suits bleached. I have grown up swimming in chlorine pools and I've never had such a negative chemical reaction such as this. I don't recommend using the stairs as it is very much a fall risk. Multiple stairs are broken and showing bare wood, missing the gripping edges. My disabled friend, when going down to let the front desk know about the cleaning not happening, took a nasty fall. All the front desk did was file a report and not do anything to fix the stairs right away. Also letting the desk know our room phone didn't work they did nothing to rectify that either. Their breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. You get two main choices and the rest is packaged milk and yogurt. Their coffees are never refilled and for the size of the hotel it's just not enough. I was able to get maybe 4 oz of coffee when coming early. I definitely recommend staying away from the turkey sausage. Tasting it I could tell something was off right away and I couldn't even eat it. I have stayed in this hotel at least half dozen times now and have always had exceptional guest service. Over the Labor Day weekend I got there after having a very stressful week. I had mistakenly booked a room with one bed. After informing the guest services of my error, they immediately got to work, trying to find some alternatives for me. I was given so much attention, it was refreshing. They found a room accommodating my request / need. If I'm in the Chattanooga area I never want to stay anywhere else. Well done.

I stayed at this location of Homewood suites in Chattanooga, Tennessee. During my stay staff we're good except one person. The breakfast person named Sharon whom isn't nice, heard other people say how they won't eat breakfast when she is there. The only time I felt comfortable to get breakfast is when the other breakfast person named Stephanie was there. Stephanie is great, great personality, nice smile. But on August 13 during the social I got for myself three plates of different items. One plate was two slices of pizza, 2nd plate had salad and croutons, 3rd plate had cubed cheese and cookie. I took it to the room and my Ada companion forgot his plate of two slices of pizza so I went back down to get it and all of a sudden after grabbing a plate I felt a slap on my right arm, thought it was my Ada companion, nope it was Sharon, after physically assaulting me she proceeded to tell me that ”you can't have anymore food as you've already had 3 plates”. I'm a diabetic and should never be told by some stranger I can't have food. She's not related in any form and she's not paying my bills so she had no right to tell me what to do. And I've had a heart attack and spinal Stenosis and Tourette Syndrome. I thought it was illegal for a hotel staff to hit a guest, a disabled one at that. I reported it and nothing was ever done about it. I never again went downstairs to get breakfast on the days Sharon was there as I didn't feel comfortable being around her and didn't go downstairs for the days the social was as I didn't feel like putting up with being hit again and being told I can't get food cause she has to feed other guests. I worked for Hampton and I know you don't touch a guest at all and you don't tell a guest what to do as in when they are getting food. Not sure what she's thinking but thought something would be done about how she physically assaulted me and told me I can't get food when I'm a diabetic. She caused me mental anguish and stress. And also when they had the social I got a cup of liquid that had an unknown substance without a label and as they had beer I was assuming it was Wine. So I was smelling it to see if I could identify what it was and Sharon Chimes in ”Why are you smelling it when it's just Tea” what's it any of her business why I am smelling it. Pictured was my plates that Sharon thought were 3 plates of pizza. Like I said unless Sharon wants to pay all my bills from now on then yeah but otherwise she has no right to tell me anything and needs to mind her own business. Also at this hotel disabled people have no rights and they think it's okay for a staff member to physically assault a disabled person as myself. Been discriminated against disability at this property and physically assaulted that caused me mental anguish and stress and heart attack symptoms as I've already had one in the past. Nice to see that disabled people have no rights and it's okay to tell a disabled person/diabetic you can't get food. And for Sharon

This Hilton Garden Inn has been updated and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. All of the staff we met were very friendly. The breakfast was good, with a good variety of food choices. There are plenty of places to sit and visit with friends. (Even a fireplace outside.) We stayed when the weather was really cold, and our car was hard to start. The lady at the front desk got a maintenance man to drive around with booster cables and jump is off. We will be back here when we’re in Chattanooga again.

I wish there were more stars than 5 to give for this hotel. We had an exceptional experience. This was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed. The front desk solved a problem for us and went above and beyond during our stay. We are a school group and I had worked with someone over the phone about the rooms we needed. I emailed the day before arrival and assumed all was well. Upon arrival the front desk had just heard of our group coming and didn’t have the rooms. I am not sure where the breakdown occurred but this people worked like super hero’s to accommodate us. They went above and beyond in service. I would not hesitate to stay here!

Rugs smelled like mildew. Faucet in shower was broken and leaking. Was afraid to eat breakfast because of condition of hotel.

By Far The Worst Hotel I'VE Seen. Walked In, Walked out. Girl passed out at the top of steps. Door busted in. Blood and burnholes on sheets and some type of crusty substance on bedspread. The air unit was leaking and I used a towel to wipe it up, as you can see in the pictures, the floor was black. There was toilet paper crammed into the peephole because it had been knocked out and was no longer there. The bathroom door had been kicked in so hard it had split and the wood was coming through. It would not close. At the bottom of the stairs were 2 more homeless people with backpacks, food, drinks and carrying a portable TV. I stepped over the passed out girl twice and she never moved. I was beginning to wonder if she had overdosed but I didn't want to get involved. In the parking lot I was approached twice by people asking for money. I got into my car and called Red Roof guest relations. I explained my situation and that I was afraid to stay there alone for 2 nights. I asked if she could simply move me to the Lookout Mountain location. I explained I completely understand there would be a price increase and I would happily pay the difference even though I felt I should not have too. She told me she could not help me I had checked in. I told her I went in looked at the disgusting room and street people and came back out. I also explained to her it was my understanding that as a redirewards member I had until 4pm to cancel or change my reservation. She said not if you have went into the room. I needed to go back to the front desk. I told her I was scared to be there and since she did not want to help me in anyway I would get in touch.with Chase bank and let them get involved. I immediately called my credit card company who advised me to leave the keys in room and leave, not to stay if I felt threatened. I was there with my chihuahua and I don't mean to sound pretentious, but I drive a Mercedes convertible and I really did not think it would be there if I spent the night there. My husband and I have worked hard for what we have so the people asking for money was ridiculous. I read reviews and most of the time take them with a grain of salt. There are people that will never be satisfied no matter what. I have exaggerated nothing in this review. If you have any other option at all, take it. Do not stay here. Also....the pics of the rooms on this site, ********** and Red Roof website are all fake. Nothing looks like any of these pic as you can see by mine.

Comfortable room. Paid for 2 breakfasts to be included in the booking but still had to pay for them as extra. Good location and value for the hotel, just need to be more clear on what's included in room at time of booking to make sure it's actually included.
