I had the most wonderful experience at Taj Connemara. Right from check in where my the receptionist upgraded me, to my encounter with Gracy Varghese, who noticed my tired and worn out state and sent me foot bath to my room. (I was so touched I could cry) she was god sent. Cherry on the cake was my dinner at Rain tree. Venky and Arpita ensured I try a bit of everything and not once did they make me feel that I was dining alone on a work trip, Chef Vinod cooked up delicious delicacies and the payasam was out of the world. I am so glad I stayed here, fallen in love with Chennai thanks to the courteous staff of Taj Connemara. Will definitely visit again and come back with family. Highly recommend! ♥️

Its nicely located in the middle of old town. but this means that the views are boring. i think the hotel is just coming out of covid issues as it is understaffed and most of the resaturants are closed and the food its iffy at best. i spend the the first hour of my stay as they relaced the mini fridge that had stopped wokking and had leaked all over the wood cabinet leading to a stink. next day i spend three hours waiting for maintaince to water proof the bathroom that was leaking into the sleeping area. the third day i had to watch for an hour as the Ac maintaince were trying to repair a leak which had seeped into the false ceiling leading to a new smell. The rooms are nice and spacious. so are teh bathroom but the WC is located in a tiny alcove in the bathroom making it unconfortable to reach for the health faucet. teh towels are clean and the beds confortable. the writing cair and table are well made and teh easy chair is also comfortable even for a big sized *** like me. the laundry service is efficient. the complimentary Tata branded tea and coffee is undrinkable, so is whatever brand of creamer they use. i dont undersand why they dont just use amul and nescafe. inroom entertainment is still just basic tamil cable TV. room cleanliness is average with cobwebs on the bathroom sink and tea stains on the floor. again this is due to understaffing and overworking the existing staff. the staff themself is very helpful and hardworking. the restaurant is understaffed but despite this, the staff were helpful and pleasant. and the chef's range is a bit limited. the lobby area is nice and spacious, but the corridors poorly maintained with gaps in the carpets and the floors leading to repeated tripping risks. the carpets stink. the pool on the roof is nice and large but can only be used ealy mornings or in the evenings as it has no awning. I had a pleasant swim one evening and wounddown on the comfortable deck chairs. the changing rooms leave a lot to be desired. the gym is well equipped. they have a spa but didnt have male massuese so could be utilized. but it looked clean and pleasant. wifi connectivity was good through out the hotel and not spotty at all. basically this could be a great hotel if they staffed it well and updated basic infrastcuture and threw out their stinking carpets. But it looks like staff will be made to do more and more with less and less. would i visit again? unlikely.

Good thing about it’s location if someone need to access the Chennai railway station. Hotel is clean and I got upgraded to bigger room . Swimming pool is small but very clean . Breakfast selections was very good . Hotel stuffs are very friendly. Only thing which I didn’t liked at all was the Dinner at their one of the restaurants by name some “ Kebab “ ( exact name can’t remember) . Food for vegetarian was approx INR 2200 + ( I got although 15% discount as hotel guest ) , but food was terrible to me , despite of giving immediate feedback, still no one understood my taste & preferences, I have also gave poor reviews on the spot to the restaurant ***ager … I would give 2/10 to that particular kebab restaurant but other than that would give 8.5/10 other things

Special thanks to: Shailesh Giri (***ager - Butler Operations) & Jasmin Siddiqui (***ager - Guest Relationsq) who went above and beyond with their exceptional service to take care of our every need. The entire butler team (Bala, Saravanan and Napolean who made sure they went the extra mile at the lounge. The entire Jiva Spa team who made sure we were well rested and relaxed. The entire restaurant and kitchen at Southern Spice team who enticed us with their superb food. The entire Front Office team who made our check-in and check-out seamless. The entire Door*** and Concierge team who helped us with our endless shopping bags. The entire Housekeeping team who did something small every day to put a smile on our faces when we returned back to the room. The entire In-Room Dining team who accommodated our late night food and coffee orders. This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everthing perfect. The reception staff are friendly, efficient and are always smiling. the rooms are large, very modern and perfectly clean, the roomboy David does an amzing job every day. The breakfast is huge and has a great choice and everything is fresh and well presented. The swimming pool area with its bar and resturant have a lovely atmoshere. and its great that you can swim up to midnight. Dip one of the waiters is friendly and very attentive. I will be back next year and will never ever stay anywhere else in Chennai

Service was excellent Facilities was good. Food was superb especially the breakfast Unfortunately, the booking i made through Trip ,com was not relayed to the hotel. When i checked in to the hotel, there was no reservation of my record there. I had to contact a friend of mine who knew the ***ager there to resolve the issue. As a result, i have to wait 1.5 hours at the lobby. It is quite a bad experience. In future, i will contact the hotel directly rather than going through a third party.

Good hospitality. Very helpful , efficient and courteous staff . The room is clean and stylish . I loved the contemporary look . Food is delicious . The restaurant staff was attentive and efficient . The reception team was welcoming , helpful and professional. The names that comes to my mind from the reception is Nafil , Abhay and Sherif . Dipankar Pal from the restaurant and other staffs are very efficient and courteous . Overall , excellent location, superb services, helpful staff, what else do you need ? A wonderful cozy place to stay at Poonamallee High Road. Rooms are spacious, suites have good dressing area and cupboards for storing clothes. Clean, neat and courteous staff. I had a problem with Eifi and my room was changed immediately with an upgrade. No hassles. Food is good and there are 2noptions - Puran da dhaba and the hotel dining area too. All in all would definitely visit again.

We selected KTDC Rain Drop at Chennai for the first two nights of our Tamilnadu temple tour because of its location. Feeling after staying is neither unsatisfied nor satisfied. However, probably we shouldn’t expect better than what you get in terms of ‘establishment and service’ from a state-run business. The check-in was smooth; room, bed, toilet and shower space were ok. They provide one-liter bottled drinking water per day and filtered water is available on all floors. Apart from clean towels, dental kit, soap, and shampoo, they also provide a shaving set – a razor and shaving cream in sachet that I find very thoughtful and useful too. Aircon was giving trouble, the furniture was very old, and the door lock was giving trouble.   Our room rent included buffet breakfast and we’re very satisfied with range, quality, and quantity. This was the only hotel out of seven hotels that we stayed in 14 days that served eggs of any style.  We realized that we were the only guests who were there for the tourism purpose and the rest from Bangladesh and India are staying therefor treatment. So, the staff were surprised to know this. BTW: Appollo and Shankar Netralay are within walking distance and the neighborhood is full of travel agents, currency exchange houses and small restaurants.

Had a nice stay at E Hotel at Chennai, the Elegance Room provided to us, was very spacious for the 3 of us . Also staff were very courteous, and provided us with the extra items requested by us. The breakfast was good. but of course there is scope to add few more dishes. The added advantage is the mall attached to the Hotel, so we could spend some good time in the mall, which has good shops for shopping and vide variety of food also.
