Awful stay here - a lot of screw ups, with little resolution. I have attended conventions in the Cherry Hill area for the past few years, and have typically stayed a little further away in the next towns over, such as Mount Laurel or Voorhis. I decided to stay here this time, as the hotel was about 1 mile down the road from the convention, and on the same road. We had to change hotel rooms 3 times. First, the roof was leaking onto the bed. The next room they gave us smelled like pot -- we informed the front desk so that they knew it wasn't us, and to avoid being charged any fees. The front desk said they thought that room had smelled like pot, and gave us another room, upon request (they said they charged the guests before us, and wouldn't charge us, but we felt it was best to have a new room to make sure we wouldn't be charged). The third room was fine -- although we felt we had to diligently confirm it was fine before settling. Of course, I realize that things happen, but having to change rooms three times is very frustrating, and a bit unreasonable. Upon check-out, I noticed that my invoice was over $100 more than what I anticipated. I anticipated paying $389, after taxes and fees, and the security deposit refunded. The invoice upon check out was $515. The rate changed from the rate I had booked in March ($170) to the existing rate of the room for that night ($222), as if the room change was booked under a new reservation made that day. I mentioned this upon check out to the front desk. They said my rate was $222, and when I explained my reservation was made back in March, I had to prove my rate was $170 -- as they were now unable to access my earlier reservation (and the link expired in my check-in email). Thankfully, I had my booking confirmation email still saved and easily accessible. Although the front desk manually adjusted the invoice, I see I have a pending charge on my credit card for nearly $600, which is the higher rate + the security deposit. I called the front desk again, and they claim the charged amount will be the lower rate -- however, I'll have to watch it carefully. We hardly received any apologies for the inconveniences or overcharges. Overall, a stressful stay. From now on, when attending the Cherry Hill area, I'll stay in the neighboring towns and drive an extra 30 minutes than come back here.
