Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics. Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available. Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs! I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!

I chose a room with a snow mountain view. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the room faced the Nanga Parva Snow Mountain. Whether it was early morning or dusk, I could see the snow mountain directly. The complimentary prayer wheel souvenir was also a thoughtful touch. Minor Suggestions The hotel's parking lot can be a bit tight, so it's advisable to book a space in advance. Also, hot water takes a little longer to heat up in high-altitude areas, so a short wait before showering is needed. For first-time visitors to Tibet, Shangri-La is undoubtedly a reassuring choice. We drove 2 hours to get here after going to the Kawagebo Observation Deck the day before. We had a delicious dinner directly at the hotel restaurant, tasted red wine, and soaked in hot springs.
